Syringe support and autoinjector
The disclosure relates to a syringe support for supporting an axial position of a syringe relative to a housing of an autoinjector. The syringe support comprises a projecting portion, which projects from the syringe support in a distal direction and a flexible portion which axially adjoins the projecting portion. The flexible portion is adapted to axially bias the syringe in the distal direction within the housing. The disclosure further relates to an autoinjector.
INJECTOR WITH ELASTOMERIC DRIVE UNIT
A drive unit for an injector includes an elastomeric drive member configured to possess a first elastic potential energy in an elastically stretched state that is releasable to convert the elastic energy to a first biasing force. A selectively releasable plunger rod has a locked position maintaining the elastomeric drive member in the elastically stretched state. A trigger member is biased by a second biasing force into an interlocking position. In the interlocking position, an arm of the trigger member interlocks with a notch of the plunger rod, thereby maintaining the plunger rod in the locked position thereof. The trigger member is selectively movable against the second biasing force to an unlocking position spaced from the notch, thereby releasing the first elastic potential energy into the first biasing force to axially advance the plunger rod and thus advance the piston through the reservoir.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is disclosed having a housing, an actuation mechanism capable of delivering doses of medicament from a medicament container and arranged with a delivery member, a shield, a guard movable within the housing, wherein the guard is operably connected to the actuation mechanism. A protective cap is releasably arranged on the housing and having a shield remover. A blocking element on the guard is movable between a blocking position and a release position and has an engagement surface to engage a proximal area of the housing. The blocking element engages with a surface of the shield remover to retain the blocking element in the blocking position. The engagement surface causes a blocking of the guard from movement and removal of the protective cap enables a movement of the blocking element to a release position when the engagement surface engages the proximal area allowing the member guard to move.
The flexible portion is adapted to axially bias the syringe (in the distal direction within the housing. The disclosure further relates to an autoinjector.
Multi-dose dispenser
Multi-dose dispenser comprising: a product reservoir (14), on the X-axis, opening at a distal end through an outlet orifice and comprising a barrel (24); a piston (20) comprising a piston rod (38) having a rack and, at a distal end of the piston rod, a piston head (34) slidably mounted in the barrel (24) along the X-axis; a pawl mounted so as to be movable along the X-axis relative to the reservoir and configured to cooperate with the rack so as to drive the piston along the X-axis only in a forward direction of the piston in the barrel; a spring arranged to push the pawl back along the X-axis in a reverse direction; a case containing the pawl and at least a part of the piston; and a check valve arranged to seal the outlet orifice and allow only an outlet of product from the reservoir.
FOAM-GENERATING DEVICES AND METHODS
A kit may include a syringe; and a mixing device. The syringe may have a barrel, a plunger, a tip, and a foamable therapeutic disposed in the barrel. The mixing device may have (A) a syringe body and a mixing tip fluidly coupled to an interior of the syringe body, and a plunger and spring disposed within the syringe body; (B) a mixing channel, a supply channel and a delivery channel; wherein one end of the mixing channel is coupled to the mixing tip and one end of the supply channel includes a connector for removably coupling to the syringe; (C) a three-way valve that is configured to selectively couple an opposite end of the mixing channel, an opposite end of the supply channel and the delivery channel to one or more of the other; and (D) a mixing element disposed in the mixing channel.
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION DEVICE
A medication administration device includes: a casing; a syringe including: a barrel housed in the casing, and a puncture needle in fluid communication with the barrel and configured to administer the medication to a living body; a needle cover having a hollow cylindrical shape, disposed inside the casing, covering a distal end of the syringe, and configured to be displaced toward a proximal end relative to the casing when the needle cover is pressed against a puncture target; a plunger disposed inside the casing and configured to eject the medication through the puncture needle upon movement of a distal end of the plunger inside the barrel; and a cap detachably disposed at a distal end of the needle cover, and configured to be detached before the puncture needle punctures the puncture target.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH AUTOMATIC RIGID NEEDLE SHIELD REMOVER
An auto injector for delivery of a medicament is disclosed. The auto injector comprises a housing, a syringe holder configured to receive a syringe; a first drive module adapted to move the syringe holder relatively to the housing; and a rigid needle shield remover comprising a first part adapted for separating a rigid needle shield from the syringe.
Apparatuses and method for injecting medicaments
An injector for delivering a medicament includes an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and a syringe. The inner sleeve is disposed partially within the outer sleeve. A plunger rod of the syringe is engaged with the outer sleeve in a fixed spatial relationship such that the plunger rod and the outer sleeve translate as a unit. The outer sleeve is configured for axial translation relative to the inner sleeve from a first configuration wherein the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a first distance to a second configuration in which the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a second distance that is less than the first distance. Further, in a third configuration the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a third distance that is greater than the second distance and the inner sleeve is restricted from axially translating with respect to the outer sleeve.
