A pre-filled medical delivery assembly assembled and configured to allow delivery of a single dose of a therapeutic agent (e.g., vaccine, drug, medicament, etc.) from a Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) vial to a patient. The delivery assembly generally includes a modular design consisting of separately constructed components cooperatively arranged and coupled to one another.

A device for transferring fluids in a closed system transfer device using flash for last drop extraction and to reduce coring. The device including a piercing member having a distal end and a proximal end and defining a longitudinal fluid channel. A first opening positioned at the distal end of the piercing member wherein the first opening is in fluid communication with the longitudinal fluid channel. A cover or flash positioned over the first opening. The cover including a pre-cut pattern wherein the cover opens along the pre-cut pattern upon application of a distally directed force from the longitudinal fluid channel. The distal end including the first opening having a steep taper to facilitate last drop extraction.

A needle assembly for percutaneously infusing fluids to a body and/or withdrawing fluids from a body is provided. The needle assembly comprises a polymeric body having a passageway in a proximodistal direction. A wing assembly is secured to the body, and the wing assembly including first and second wings extending laterally in opposite directions from said body. A hollow needle is arranged in said passageway, such that it extends distally from said body, wherein said needle is press fitted or interference fitted in said passageway.

In an intradermal needle including a tubular needle that can be punctured into a living body, a packaging article, and an injection device, a pivotable protector is provided to a wide diameter part. The protector has an arm that can pivot around an axle of pivoting, and a lid. The pivoting axle part is provided to the wide diameter part, and the lid is formed to give a width smaller than a diameter of the wide diameter part. The arm keeps the lid in the open position away from the pivoting axle part and closer to an axis of the needle hub.

A needle hub including a core mounting structur, first and second panels each connected to the core mounting structure with an opening formed between the first panel and the second panel, and an introducer needle fixedly attached to the core mounting structure; a first actuation lever disposed within the opening, cantilevered at a central portion thereof from the core mounting structure that has a first actuation button disposed at a proximal free end and a first needle hub latch disposed at a distal free end. This needle assembly is provided with a needle having a needle tip, a needle hub, and a protector. The protector is displaceable between a non-protection position at which the needle is exposed and a protection position at which the needle tip is covered; has an opening formed elongated to match the needle, and includes a main body and a claw-like portion. The needle enters the main body from the opening to cover the needle tip when the protector is displaced to the protection position. The claw-like portion is bent by the needle when the protector is displaced to the protection position, allows the needle to advance into the main body, and is elastically restored to lock the needle when the needle enters the main body. The claw-like portion projects obliquely from the main body, extends across the opening in the width direction, and extends in the longitudinal direction.

The invention relates to a protection device (1) for a needle (203) of a tip (201) of a drug delivery device (202), comprising: —fixing means (2) for fixing the protection device to said tip, —protective legs (4) capable of transitioning from a first configuration ration in which they cover the needle, to a second configuration in which the needle is exposed, and to a third configuration in which they cover the needle, via pivot links, —removable maintaining means for maintaining the protective legs in their first configuration, —retaining means (9, 10) for retaining the protective legs in their third configuration, said pivot links comprising elastic return means (5) for automatically transitioning the protective legs from their first configuration to their second configuration. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a drug delivery device and said protection device, and to a method for manufacturing said protection device.

A hard-packaged safety needle device comprises a needle hub comprising a distal portion and a proximal portion, a needle cannula extending from the distal portion of the needle hub, and a hard needle enclosure comprising a needle cover, an adapter and a cap. The needle cover is configured to house the needle cannula, and the adapter has a tapered aperture configured to create an interference fit and a sterility barrier with the tapered outer surface of the needle cover. The caps includes a distal opening defining a first cavity, the cap being configured to interdigitate with the adapter by the first cavity of the cap receiving a proximal portion of the adapter.

The present disclosure relates to a syringe safety cap and a safety syringe including the same. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a syringe safety cap including a base portion having a mounting portion to be mounted on a cylinder of a syringe, a link portion rotatably connected to the base portion, a first elastic portion configured to provide a rotational force so that the link portion rotates with respect to the base portion, a safety cover portion rotatably connected to the link portion, detachably fixed to the base portion, and configured to, when detached from the base portion and rotating, surround an injection needle of the syringe, and a second elastic portion configured to provide a rotational force so that the safety cover portion rotates with respect to the link portion.

Fluid collection/injection device comprises a body having a front end, a back end, and a main hollow section arranged between the front and back ends and a needle hub securing section arranged on the front end and being structured and arranged to receive therein a needle member. The fluid collection/injection device is structured and arranged to utilize at least an operational mode, an operational mode, and a post-use mode. In the installation mode, the needle member is coupled to the body via the needle hub securing section. In the operational mode, fluid passes through the needle member and into or out of a receptacle inserted into the main hollow section.
