INJECTION DEVICE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED DELIVERY ELEMENT
An injection device having a delivery element with an inner thread may be driven by rotation and includes a cylindrical outer wall region, which is substantially smooth. Such features provide a delivery element configured such that it is less intimidating to patients than known threaded rods, and may facilitate easy cleaning. The delivery element may be non-rotatably guided and axially spring-loaded, and may be inserted axially into the housing when the reservoir is replaced. The driving thread element for the delivery element may be mounted in the vicinity of the distal end of the housing.
Medicament Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device (10) comprising a housing (12, 14); a medicament container holder (90), arranged movable in relation to said housing (12, 14) and capable of accommodating a medicament container (92); an biased activator (160) comprising a plunger rod (164), which plunger rod (164) is arranged to act on the medicament container (92) for delivering a dose of medicament through a medicament delivery member (102 when said biased activator (160) is operated; a manually operable dose setting member (72) operably connected to both said housing and said medicament container holder such that manual operation of said dose setting member (72) will cause the medicament container holder (90) with the medicament container (92) to move towards said plunger rod (164) for setting a dose of medicament to be delivered; a dose drum (56) releasably connected to the dose setting member (72) through a releasable connection mechanism (68, 84I) such that when the dose setting member is operated, said dose drum (56) is displaced from an initial position to a set dose position; a release mechanism (116) operably connected to said biased activator (160), wherein, when said plunger rod (164) is moved to an end position of the dose delivery operation, said release mechanism (116) is arranged to act on said connection mechanism (68, 84I) for releasing said dose drum (56) from said dose setting member (72). The invention is characterised in that said release mechanism is arranged with a locking mechanism (130, 84II) arranged to lock said dose setting member (72) from displacement as the connection mechanism (68, 84I) is operated for releasing said dose drum (56) from said dose setting member (72).
INJECTION DEVICE WITH FLEXIBLE DOSE SELECTION
An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a dose selector having one or more dose stops corresponding to a finite set of predetermined fixed doses, where the set of finite predetermined fixed doses includes a lowest fixed dose and one or more higher fixed doses, and where at least one of the one or more higher fixed doses is equal to the lowest fixed dose plus a fractional amount of the lowest fixed dose. The dose setting mechanism can further include a floating spline that is rotationally engaged with a snap element such that the snap element can rotate relative to the floating spline during both dose setting and dose delivery.
VARIABLE SINGLE DOSE MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device configured to provide a variable single dose of medicament is disclosed. The medicament delivery device includes a main body and a syringe arranged in the main body, wherein the syringe comprises a medicament. The medicament delivery device further includes a removable cap and a plunger rod operatively arranged to eject the medicament through a delivery member i.e. an injection needle attached to the syringe. Still further, the medicament delivery device includes a tubular member coupled to the plunger rod. The tubular member is configured to rotate during removing of the removable cap, and the rotation releases the plunger rod thereby allowing the plunger rod to travel a predetermined distance so as to prime the medicament delivery device.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure refers to a drug delivery device and to a method of operating the same. The device includes a housing, a dial grip manually operable by a user for setting an individual dose to be delivered by the device, a dose setting and drive mechanism, a clutch including two clutch members for rotationally coupling and de-coupling the dial grip to the housing and/or to the dose setting and drive mechanism, at least one processor, a sensor arrangement operable to generate measurement data indicative of the dose setting operation, and a power source connected to the at least one processor.
