Automatic-locking safety needle covers and methods of use and manufacture
A single-use needle cover configured to obscure, protect, or hide at least a portion of a needle from view before, during, and/or after an injection and/or aspiration procedure is disclosed. In some embodiments, the cover includes a housing at least partially containing the needle and configured to couple to a syringe, wherein the housing includes an axis and a guide member. In some embodiments, a sleeve has a plurality of tracks configured to slidingly receive the guide member, wherein the sleeve is configured to retract, extend, and rotate with respect to the housing. In some embodiments, after the sleeve has been retracted and extended one time, a first locking member inhibits further retraction of the sleeve and a second locking member inhibits rotation of the sleeve.
DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS WITH SEALED AND STERILE FLUID PATHS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of drug delivery. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a drug delivery system that includes a sealed and sterile fluid path attached to a drug-loaded container. The disclosure further relates to methods for sterilizing a portion of the drug delivery system without exposing the drug-loaded container to harmful sterilization parameters.
Safety needle device
A safety needle device is disclosed having a housing configured to couple to a syringe, the housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and a housing body. A needle hub is disposed on the proximal end of the housing and a needle cannula is attached to the needle hub. The device having a retractable sheath configured to move between an initial position, a retracted position and an extended position with respect to the housing, wherein the initial position partially exposes a distal tip of the needle cannula, the retracted position fully exposes the needle cannula, and the extended position fully covers the distal tip of the needle cannula. The safety needle device may include an activation latch, a lockout latch, a tether and a spring element to bias the retractable sheath to an extended state to cover the distal end of the needle cannula upon completion of an injection. The safety needle device may include a slider element disposed above an activation latch. A method of drug delivery is also disclosed.

Safety needle device
A safety needle device is disclosed having a housing configured to couple to a syringe, the housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and a housing body. A first guide path, a second guide path and a third guide path may be disposed on the housing body. The retractable sheath also may have a guide element. The first, second and third guide paths are configured to slidingly receive the guide element. The device also having a first locking member, a second locking member, a rotating cam disposed in the housing body, and a spring element to bias the retractable sheath to an extended state to cover the distal end of the needle cannula upon completion of an injection.
Injection needle assembly for an injection device and an injection device comprising such assembly
An injection needle assembly (50) for an injection device, having a) a needle cannula (3) attached to a needle hub (4) and defining a pointed tip at a free end (3a, 3b), and b) a needle cover (10, 10a, 10b) forming an axially extending elongated flexible enclosure accommodating the needle cannula (3). The needle cover (10, 10a, 10b) is configured to axially collapse and become penetrated by the needle cannula (3) when a penetration force is applied to the needle cover. The needle cover (10, 10a, 10b) defines a shaft section (11a) and a bulb section (11b). The shaft section (11a) encircles the needle cannula (3) and extends axially from the needle hub (4) to the bulb section (11b). The shaft section (11a) comprises a collapsible wall area (15) having wall thickness t.sub.1 less than a predefined wall thickness t.sub.1,lim to provide radial deformability for abutting contact with the needle cannula (3).
ANESTHESIA APPLICATORS/INJECTORS FOR DENTAL AND OTHER APPLICATIONS AND METHODS OF USE
Disclosed are applicators and methods injecting of a liquid anesthetic into a dental patient with no or minimal pain. In accordance with one embodiment the applicator is for intraligamentary injection and includes an elongated, thin member having an open distal free formed of a resilient and somewhat conformable material suitable for producing a substantially fluid-tight interface with the anatomic structures at the gingival sulcus to inject the anesthetic therein. In another embodiment the applicator includes a flexible skirt surrounding a sharpened cannula, with the cannula being movable with respect to the skirt. The skirt is arranged to receive the anesthetic to anesthetize the gum, whereupon the cannula can then pierce the gum to inject the anesthetic into the underlying anatomic structure.

Auto-Injection Device
An auto-injection device including a housing, cartridge, needle, and needle cover. The housing includes longitudinally extending flexible arms. The cartridge moves relative to the housing and contains fluid medicament. The needle is at a proximal end of the device. The needle cover has openings along the longitudinal direction and moves between a first position, a second position, and a third position, wherein the needle is unexposed in the first and third positions and in the second position the needle is exposed. The needle cover is biased towards the third position. An abutment on the at least one longitudinally extending arm of the housing is receivable within the at least one opening along the longitudinal direction of the needle cover when the needle cover is biased into the third position.
