O2 CONCENTRATOR WITH SIEVE BED BYPASS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An oxygen concentrator includes one or more adsorbent sieve beds operable to remove nitrogen from air to produce concentrated oxygen gas at respective outlets thereof, a product tank fluidly coupled to the respective outlets of the sieve bed(s), a compressor operable to pressurize ambient air, one or more sieve bed flow paths from the compressor to respective inlets of the sieve bed(s), a bypass flow path from the compressor to the product tank that bypasses the sieve bed(s), and a valve unit operable to selectively allow flow of pressurized ambient air from the compressor along the one or more sieve bed flow paths and along the bypass flow path in response to a control signal. The valve unit may be controlled in response to a command issued by a ventilator based on a calculated or estimated total flow of gas and entrained air or % FiO.sub.2 of a patient.

A method for operating an oxycombustion engine system includes passing a nitrogen-depleted gas, a fuel, and a recycled exhaust gas into a combustion chamber, combusting a mixture of the nitrogen-depleted gas, the fuel, and the recycled exhaust gas, thereby producing an exhaust gas including carbon dioxide, detecting a pressure of the recycled exhaust gas passed to the combustion chamber, determining whether the detected pressure of the recycled exhaust gas is less than a configurable pressure threshold, and in response to determining that the detected pressure of the recycled exhaust gas is less than the configurable pressure threshold, increasing the pressure of the recycled exhaust gas passed to the combustion chamber.
Composite separation membrane including coating layer of graphene oxide/bile acid or salt thereof and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to a composite separation membrane that is applicable to carbon dioxide separation and recovery processes. The composite separation membrane includes a coating layer composed of graphene oxide and a bile acid or its salt on a porous polymer support. The composite separation membrane of the present invention, which includes a coating layer composed of graphene oxide and a bile acid or its salt, has both high carbon dioxide permeability and high selectivity for carbon dioxide over nitrogen, hydrogen or methane gas, is free of surface defects, and maintains a stable structure without deterioration of its performance even after long-term use. Due to these advantages, the composite separation membrane of the present invention can be applied to industrial fields involving carbon dioxide separation and recovery processes. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the composite separation membrane.
OXYGEN GAS CONCENTRATOR WITH OUTLET ACCUMULATOR
An oxygen concentrator comprises a product tank that is fluidly coupled to at least one sieve bed, and a product gas accumulator tank that is fluidly coupled to the product tank via a first conduit and to an outlet port via a second conduit, wherein the first conduit and the second conduit are disposed to allow at least a portion of product gas to flow from the product tank to the outlet port through the accumulator tank.
Enhanced device for separation of oxygen and nitrogen
A device is disclosed for separating nitrogen and oxygen. The device includes an inlet in fluid communication with a source of a gas comprising oxygen and nitrogen, a membrane having a greater permeability to oxygen than to nitrogen. One side of the membrane is in fluid communication with the inlet, and the other side of the membrane is in fluid communication with an outlet for nitrogen-enriched gas. An outlet for oxygen-enriched gas is also in fluid communication with the first side of the membrane. A porous metal foam is disposed between the inlet and the membrane.
PORTABLE VENTILATOR
A portable oxygen delivery system including an oxygen concentrator having a housing, a compressor mounted inside the housing, a sieve module located within the housing and in fluid connection with the compressor, the sieve module containing a zeolite for removing Nitrogen from air through a pressure swing adsorption process for creating concentrated oxygen, a power source attached to the housing and an oxygen controller device for electronically controlling the pressure swing adsorption process. The portable oxygen delivery system also preferably includes a blowing apparatus fluidly connected to the oxygen concentrator having a blower housing, a blower motor mounted inside the blower housing, a blower fan connected to the blower motor, a second power source attached to the blower housing and a blower controller device for electronically controlling the blower.

Oxygen generation device
An oxygen generation device having a compressed air supply device, air cooling coil, a fan, pneumatic valve system, a housing, at least one media insert, an on-off switch, a printed circuit board, and a touch screen. The pneumatic valve system includes an air inlet port, a first air outlet port connected to the inlet of the first media insert, a second air outlet port connected to the inlet of the second media insert. The air inlet port receives compressed air from the compressed air supply device and alternatingly provides the compressed air to one of the first media insert and the second media insert. The lower housing includes check valve ball moveable between the first position and the second position and alternatingly controlling a flow of compressed air through the first media insert and the second media insert.
