MULTISTAGE DISTILLATION SYSTEM
This disclosure relates to a multistage distillation system for concentrating a feed liquid, the system including at least one module being assembled by a stack of frame elements, wherein each module includes at least one stage, such that the system includes in total a plurality of stages configured to be flowed through in series by a main feed liquid. Each stage of the plurality of stages is configured to generate steam and feed the steam to a subsequent stage. The first stage of the plurality of stages is configured to heat the main feed liquid and/or to be fed with heated main feed liquid. The system further includes an intermediate cooling device configured to cool the heated main feed liquid before flowing to at least one of the second to last stages of the plurality of serial stages.
A filter-box and a retrievable subsea filter module with a filter-box
The present invention concerns a subsea filter-box with a plurality of pressure-vessels 1 forming at least one group of longitudinal pressure-vessels. A first support plate 7 and a second support plate 8 includes a plurality of fixing geometries 20, each supporting pressure-vessel end sections 17, 6. Each of the plurality of pressure-vessels extends between a fixture on the first support plate and a fixture on the second support plate. Each group of pressure-vessels includes at least one entry pressure-vessel one end pressure-vessel 14, adjoining and in liquid connection with an intermediate pressure-vessel 16; and a filter-box frame, clamping the first support plate 7 and the second support plate 8 to the plurality of pressure-vessels. A filter module with at least one filter-box is also disclosed.
Flow distributors for electrochemical separation
An electrochemical separation system may be modular and may include at least a first modular unit and a second modular unit. Each modular unit may include a cell stack and a frame. The frame may include a manifold system. A flow distributor in the frame may enhance current efficiency. The flow distributor may define a labyrinth flow path for improved current efficiency.
PASSIVE DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SEPARATING INITIAL RAIN WATER RUNOFF AND SUBSEQUENT RAIN WATER RUNOFF
A passive device for controlling rain water runoff. The device including: an inlet for directing the rain water runoff; and a mechanism for directing a predetermined initial amount of the rain water runoff to a first outlet and passively directing a subsequent amount of the rain water runoff to a second outlet.
WATER PURIFIER
Disclosed is a water purifier comprising: a water route integrated device, disposed in the water purifier; a pre-filter cartridge, disposed on a first card interface of a first auxiliary water route plate; a rear filter cartridge, disposed on a second card interface of the first auxiliary water route plate; a reverse osmosis (RO) film filter cartridge, disposed on a third card interface of a main water route plate; a standard piece module, disposed on the main water route plate, and is on a same side of the first auxiliary water route plate; and a pump module, disposed on the main water route plate, and is on a same side of the second auxiliary water route plate.
Extendable pressurized-type hollow fiber membrane module and filtration apparatus manufactured using the same
Disclosed are an extendable pressurized-type hollow fiber membrane module which facilitates improvement of filtrate quality through a multistep-filtration, enhanced easiness of installation and maintenance, decrease of footprint, and/or enlargement of filtration apparatus (without causing decrease of permeate flux of a unit hollow fiber membrane), and a filtration apparatus manufactured using the same. The filtration apparatus of the present invention comprises first and second pressurized-type hollow fiber membrane modules, wherein an inlet port of the first pressurized-type hollow fiber membrane module for introducing feed water and an outlet port of the second pressurized-type hollow fiber membrane module for discharging filtrate or air are coupled to each other.
Modified forward osmosis membrane module for flow regime improvement
To provide a modified forward osmosis (FO) membrane module for flow regime improvement, the FO membrane module includes but not limited to: a water inlet; a water outlet; a forward osmosis (FO) membrane; a frame; and folded plates for improving flow regime in which draw solution is introduced into the water inlet of membrane module, then flowed through flow channels composed by three opposite folded plates vertically arranged on upper and bottom portions of the frame alternatively along horizontal direction with equal space; and drawn out from the water outlet. The flow regime improvement is achieved by increasing number of flow-guide folded plate, which results in the decrease of internal concentration polarization and membrane fouling. Structure of frame is modified to improve flow regime and to satisfy requirement of convenient and reliable connections between numbers of membrane modules in the FO membrane system.
REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER PRODUCTION APPARATUS
A reverse osmosis water production apparatus for use in a body of water includes a first section defining a buoyancy chamber and an elongate second section connected to the first section and configured to define an elongate chamber which extends downward beneath a waterline in use. The elongate chamber is provided with a plurality of elongate reverse osmosis membrane tubes, each tube containing a reverse osmosis membrane. A longitudinal axis of each reverse osmosis membrane tube is substantially parallel with a longitudinal axis of the elongate chamber and the reverse osmosis membrane tubes are arranged around a passage.
DISPOSABLE FILTRATION DEVICE
A disposable filtration device includes a plurality of disposable filter capsules connected with each other by lines, which are carried by a rigid holder. At least the holder and the lines between the filter capsules preferably are formed of a sterilizable material, so that the filtration device can be sterilized in the pre-mounted, i.e. ready-to-connect condition, and can be packed and transported without a risk of damage.
Method of filtering water
A method of operating a filtration unit of a filtration system includes feeding, during filtration, feed water containing suspended particulate material to an inside of each of a plurality of hollow fibres through a first inlet and a second inlet of each hollow fibre while simultaneously removing a filtrate from an outside of each of the hollow fibres through an outlet of a filtration elements. In addition, the method includes feeding, during back-washing, back-wash water to the outside of the hollow fibres through the outlet of the filtration element. Further the method includes discharging, in a first back-wash cycle, back-wash water containing entrained particulate material from the inside of the hollow fibres from one end thereof. Still further, the method includes discharging, in a second back-wash cycle, back-wash water containing entrained particulate material from the inside of the hollow fibres from the other end thereof.
