A humidity control element includes a plurality of flat plate members stacked in a state where a first flow path or a second flow path is formed in each space between the flat plate members. Heat is exchangeable between the first flow path and the second flow path via the flat plate members. Each of the flat plate member is formed of any one material of a resin, paper, glass, a metal, and a ceramic, a metal organic framework MIL-101 (Cr) containing chromium as a metal is held on any one of an inner surface of the first flow path and an inner surface of the second flow path, and a switching time between a dehumidification operation and a regeneration operation is relatively long.

CHROMATOGRAPHIC MATERIALS FOR THE SEPARATION OF UNSATURATED MOLECULES

The present disclosure relates to a method of separating a compound of interest, particularly unsaturated compound(s) of interest, from a mixture. The compound is separated using a column having a chromatographic stationary phase material for various different modes of chromatography containing a first substituent and a second substituent. The first substituent minimizes compound retention variation over time under chromatographic conditions. The second substituent chromatographically and selectively retains the compound by incorporating one or more aromatic, polyaromatic, heterocyclic aromatic, or polyheterocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon groups, each group being optionally substituted with an aliphatic group. In some examples, the present disclosure can include a chromatographic system having a chromatographic column having a stationary phase with a chromatographic substrate containing silica, metal oxide, an inorganic-organic hybrid material, a group of block copolymers, or a combination thereof.

Composites for extraction of metal or contaminating chemical species

Disclosed is the use of a composite for extracting one or more metal or contaminating chemical species from an aerial or aqueous medium by selective binding, the composite including at least one porous template functionalized by at least one polymer, the polymer including one of the following chemical functions: primary, secondary or tertiary amine, amide, nitrile, pyridine, pyrole, thiol, thiolether, thiophene, thiadiazole, alcohol/hydroxyl, phenol, catechol, pyragalol, carboxylic acid, aldehyde, ester, acyl, crown ether, phosphate, phosphoryl, epoxide, halogen, haloalkane.

Metal organic resins with zirconium nodes

Metal organic resins, composite materials composed of the metal organic resins, and anion exchange columns packed with the composite materials are provided. Also provided are methods of using the composite materials to remove metal anions from a sample, methods of using the metal organic resins as fluorescence sensors for detecting metal anions in a sample, and methods of making the metal organic resins and the composite materials. The metal organic resins are amine-functionalized metal organic frameworks and their associated counter anions. The composite materials are composed of metal organic resin particles coated with organic polymers, such as alginic acid polymers.

Separation of metal-organic frameworks

A method of separating a metal organic framework (MOF) from a solution and associated apparatus. The method comprises: providing a MOF containing solution; contacting the MOF containing solution with an acoustic reflector surface such that, any high frequency ultrasound applied within the MOF containing solution reflects off the acoustic reflector surface; and applying a high frequency ultrasound of at least 20 kHz to the MOF containing solution. The MOF material is substantially separated from solution as aggregated sediment that settles out of solution.
