SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAGNETIC SUSPENSION OF LABORATORY OBJECTS
Disclosed is a system and method for aiding the sterility of a laboratory by suspending items using magnetic force to a laboratory object, such as a cap or a lid, wherein such cap may be suspended on a rack or stand comprising an arm extending horizontally. The system allows for suspension of items rather than placing them on surfaces, which may lead to contamination. The system may further prevent mixing of lids by increasing organizational capability by magnetic suspension of the caps or lids. The disclosed system supports a wide variety of scenarios for laboratory settings and related products and services.
Sample imaging and imagery archiving for imagery comparison
An apparatus and method are provided for imaging and analyzing images of tissue samples. The apparatus includes an imager, a lighting system, and a processor. The imager is configured to capture images within a selectable field of view. A tissue sample container is positionable within the field of view. The imager is configured to capture images of a plurality of tissue sample containers. The lighting system is configured to illuminate the field of view. The processor is configured to receive a first plurality of captured images of tissue sample containers. The processor is configured to analyze the first plurality of captured images and to determine whether there is tissue missing from any ones of the first plurality of captured images.
ARRANGEMENT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF IN VITRO BIOCOMPATIBILITY TESTS
An assembly for performing in vitro biocompatibility tests, at least one sample is arranged on a surface of a base plate or the sample forms a surface or a surface region of the base plate. A holding element having at least one through-hole is placed onto the sample so that a first opening of the through-hole, which first opening is arranged facing the base plate, is arranged in the region of the sample. The through-hole, with the hollow space thereof, and the sample form a cavity. A cover element is placed onto and fastened on the holding element so that a compressive force acts on the holding element, which compressive force leads to at least partial deformation of the holding element and to a fluid-tight closure of the first opening of the through-hole, which first opening is arranged facing the base plate.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MULTIPLEXED AMPLIFICATION AND DETECTION OF DNA USING CONVECTIONAL HEATING AND LABEL-FREE MICROARRAY
The disclosure describes apparatus and methods for multiplexed amplification and detection of nucleic acid targets in a sample. Embodiments of the present disclosure include a mechanical system configured to provide loading, vertical positioning and clamping of a chip; a thermal control system configured to maintain distinct temperatures of the chip, and an optical fluorescence imaging system.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF SARS-CoV-2 SPECIFIC ANTIGEN IN A BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE
A device for retaining a biological sample, for measuring a concentration of a SARS-CoV2 specific antigen, with SARS-CoV2 antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor that is conjugated with an electrochemically active substance and optionally including an electrode reactivity enhancement agent and antibody stabilization agent. The immunoreceptor is configured to be in chemical contact with electrodes and a biological sample with SARS-CoV2 specific antigen of the device. The present invention also provides a device holder for holding the device of the present invention and a point-of-care biosensor. A method for measuring a concentration of SARS-CoV2 specific antigen from a reduced volume of biological sample is also provided in the presence of the antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor, by measuring a peak value of redox current of the SARS-CoV2 antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor and determining a concentration of SARS-CoV2 specific antigen in the biological sample, by linearly matching with a corresponding reference redox current.
TEST STRIP HOLDER
A test strip device including a housing, at least one retention arm, an ejection tab, and a viewing window. The housing includes a channel extending through the housing, with an opening at a first end of the housing, the channel being configured to receive a test strip therein. The at least one retention arm is arranged within the channel and configured to retain the test strip within the channel. The ejection tab is slideably arranged within the housing and configured to slide the test strip through the channel and out of the opening. The viewing window is arranged within the housing and configured to allow a results region of the test strip disposed within the channel to be viewed through the viewing window.
Gene sequencing reaction device, gene sequencing system, and gene sequencing reaction method
A gene sequencing reaction device, a gene sequencing system and a gene sequencing reaction method. The gene sequencing reaction device includes: a supporting platform; a dipping container disposed on the supporting platform, wherein the dipping container has a dipping reaction area, and the dipping reaction area is configured to hold a chemical reagent for gene sequencing reaction, so as to dip a sequencing chip having a DNA sample loading structure on the surface and having a DNA sample loaded thereon in the chemical reagent to perform a gene sequencing reaction; a temperature control apparatus, configured to control the temperature of the chemical reagent in the dipping reaction area; and a transfer apparatus, configured to insert the sequencing chip into the dipping reaction area or pull out the sequencing chip from the dipping reaction area.
TEST STRIP HOLDING DEVICE FOR LIQUID ANALYSIS
A test strip holder may include an upper body, a lower body, and a mating portion. The upper body may include a first recess. The lower body may include a second recess. The mating portion may fixedly mate the upper body and the lower body. The first recess and the second recess form an internal volume when the upper body and lower body are mated.
NON-CONTACT, ON-SLIDE FLUID MIXING
A microscope slide holder comprising a slide support member and at least one acoustic source for introducing acoustic waves to a microscope slide in communication with the slide support member such that one or more fluids present on the surface of the microscope slide are contactlessly mixed.
System, method and sample carrier for assaying
A sample carrier for assaying can include a plurality of pins having a surface that is capable of picking up at least one substance on the surface. The pins can be arranged such that one or more of the plurality of pins are introduced into a corresponding reaction vessel of a microplate. The sample carrier can be divided into a plurality of modules, with each of the plurality of modules comprising one or more pins of the plurality of pins.
