Method for manufacturing press formed product
A method for manufacturing a press formed product is disclosed. The manufacturing method includes a first step of manufacturing an intermediate component by forming the curved part such that a line length along the longitudinal direction of a curved convex side WA is shorter than a line length in the product shape and a line length along the longitudinal direction of a curved concave side WB is longer than a line length in the product shape; and a second step of forming the intermediate component such that a line length of the curved convex side WA is longer than the line length in the first step and a line length of the curved concave side WB is shorter than the line length in the first step.
FORMING PRESS AND METHOD FOR FORMING A SHEET-LIKE BLANK COMPOSED OF METAL WITH TWO FRAME PARTS THAT ARE MOVABLE TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER
A forming press for forming a sheet-like blank has a first thermally insulated frame part having a die with a negative engraving and a second thermally insulated frame part defining a chamber and having a punch movably disposed in the chamber. The sheet-like blank rests in a sealing manner on the second frame part and covers the punch so as to define a pressure chamber with the punch therein. A pressure generator provides a pressurized gas to the pressure chamber during a forming process.

METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF BRAZED JOINT AND SUCH A BRAZED JOINT
A brazed joint having excellent tensile strength (TSS and CTS) and a method of production of the same are provided. A sheet combination 200 comprised of steel sheets 210, 220 between which a brazing filler metal 230 is clamped is heated at a temperature of the Ac3 point of the steel sheet (matrix material) or more. The Ar3 point of the regions near the brazing filler metal at the steel sheets is made higher than the Ar3 point of the steel sheets (matrix material), then the quenching start temperature X is made a temperature of the Ar3 point of the steel sheet (matrix material) or less and hot stamping is performed to produce a brazed joint.
Method for joining hot-stamped steel sheets
A method for manufacturing a hot-stamped steel sheet is provided. The method includes forming a welding portion of one steel sheet of a plurality of steel sheets to be joined. The welding portion has a thickness that is greater than that of a non-welding portion. The method also includes aligning welding portions of the plurality of steel sheets with each other, and joining the plurality of steel sheets by spot welding between the welding portions.
Heat treatment apparatus for hot stamping and forming method using the same
A heat treatment apparatus for hot stamping includes a frame, and heating units provided to be vertically movable at both upper and lower sides of the frame and configured to heat a cold formed steel plate by electrifying the steel plate. Cooling units are provided to be vertically movable at centers of the upper and lower sides of the frame and are configured to cool the heated steel plate while pressurizing the steel plate from upper and lower sides.
Production of reinforced double-layer parts
A method for fabricating a double layer cup-shaped part may include shaping a first material into a hollow cylinder, mounting the hollow cylinder on a draw punch, where the draw punch may include an upper punch portion with a first diameter and a lower punch portion with a second smaller diameter. Mounting the hollow cylinder on the draw punch may include tightly fitting the hollow cylinder around the lower punch portion. The method may further include forming the double layer cup-shaped part by drawing a blank material through a draw die by placing the blank material over an upper opening of the draw die, and pressing the draw punch over the blank material. The first material may form an inner layer of the double layer cup-shaped part and the blank material may form an outer cup-shaped layer of the double layer cup-shaped part.
Sheet metal member forming method and sheet metal member forming device
A sheet metal member forming method comprises placing a fiber bundle of a predetermined length, via a thermosetting resin, in a predetermined position on a surface of a sheet metal member, forming a coating film on at least a part of the sheet metal member after the placing of the fiber bundle, and while heating and drying the coating film, heat-curing the thermosetting resin to bond the fiber bundle to the sheet metal member.

Tooling and method for drawing and flanging a prototype part
A prototype part drawing/flanging tool is provided that are arranged in a draw die set-up and a flange die set-up. The draw die set-up includes a binder ring, a pad; a flange forming ring, and a punch. The flange die set-up includes the flanging ring, the pad, and the punch. The draw die set draws a blank and the flange die set forms a flange on the blank in two separate operations using the same die parts in the two operations. A method is disclosed for making a formed and flanged part that begins by drawing a blank held by a pad, a flanging ring and a binder ring against a punch in a press to form a drawn blank. The drawn blank is then laser trimmed to form a trimmed/drawn blank. The trimmed/drawn blank is then clamped between the pad and the punch while the flange forming ring forms a flange into a flange forming groove.
