Wire shaping system and method for hand tool use
The present invention relates to wire bending system for a hand tool for forming a controlled bend in a wire. The tool has a wire bending system engaged with a hand tool. The wire bending or shaping system may be open or enclosed, and optionally permits bending in a direction that is perpendicular or coaxial to an axis of a hand tool. The wire bending system may be at either side of the hand tool. A pin may be used to additionally aid bending. The hand tool is provided with a plurality of first and second operably engaged housings for securing a number of tool bits members.
Handheld Loop Former for Beading Wire
A handheld loop former for beading wire is provided. The loop former comprises a cutting lever, a slotted forming platform, a forming lever, and two scissors links. The cutting lever has a combination shear blade/forming die at its distal end. The slotted forming platform has a medially located slot, a shearing ledger, and a forming stanchion. The forming lever has a second forming die at its distal end. The cutting lever, forming platform at the medially located slot, and forming lever are journaled together with a pivot pin. Each of the forming lever and the cutting lever is journaled to one of the scissors links. Both scissors links are journaled to the forming platform. The sheer blade/forming die passes closely to the shearing ledger and with the second forming die envelops the forming stanchion when the forming lever and cutting lever are urged together. The forming platform is drawn proximally.
Jewelry mandrel pliers and method of using same
The present invention provides a mandrel tool and method for more efficiently and consistently forming various shapes of material. In one embodiment of the invention, a pair of pliers having mandrel jaws that are shaped with a uniform cross sectional area throughout a length of the mandrel jaw is used to replace the traditional tapered mandrel. Because the mandrel jaws have a uniform cross sectional area, the wire, for example, can be wrapped multiple times around the mandrel jaw when it is desired to produce multiples of the same shape. For added versatility, the pliers can have opposing mandrel jaws, with different size cross sectional area.

CABLE BEND RADIUS GAUGE
A tool for bending cable comprising a web forming a base having an upper surface, a lower surface, first edge, second edge, a first area of the base defining a bend member portion and a second area of the base defining a hand hold portion. The tool further comprising a set of wire gauge measuring intervals is integral with the first edge in the second area. The tool further comprising a set of bend members is arranged in a raised diminishing hierarchy on the upper surface in the first area, forming a cable bend radius gauge.
Needle bender
A needle bender for custom bending of needles to different desired needle bend radii is provided. The needle bender can include abase and a shaper coupled to the base through a support member. The shaper may have a plurality of grooves corresponding to different desired needle bend radii. A leverage arm with a needle slide disposed on one end may be rotatably coupled to the support arm. When a needle is inserted along the base into one of the grooves in the shaper and at least partially into the needle slide, the leverage arm can be actuated toward the base to thereby bend the needle to the desired needle bend radius. The needle bender may also include a lock plate between the base and the shaper that can be actuated toward the shaper to further secure the needle to the shaper.
NEEDLE BENDING DEVICE
Provided herein are devices, systems, and methods for bending a needle. More particularly, the present disclosure provides materials and methods relating to bending the distal end of a needle with more precision than conventional means, which improves the performance of various medical procedures and leads to better patient outcomes.
WIRE SHAPING TOOL AND METHODS OF CREATING SHAPED ITEMS
A wire shaping tool and method of using the tool to reshape wire, including the discrete sections of wire in a wire mesh panel, is provided. The tool includes a pair of levers joined at a fulcrum positioned closer to one end of the levers, a pair of jaws on one side of the fulcrum, and a pair of handles on the other side. The first jaw can include an elongate body with a concave surface having a pair of opposing lateral edges. The second jaw can include a complementary convex surface configured to converge toward contacting the concave surface of the first jaw. The concave and complementary convex surfaces can transform the shape of a wire positioned between the jaws when they are actuated. The second jaw can include a third shaping component that allows for the simultaneous reshaping of two adjacent wire sections in a wire mesh panel.
Device for managing fencing
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a device comprising a pair of handles, and a set of prongs. The pair of jaws is coupled to the pair of handles. The set of prongs is coupled to the pair of jaws. The set of prongs comprises a pair of prongs coupled to a first jaw of the pair of jaws. The set of prongs comprises a single prong coupled to a second jaw of the pair of jaws. The device, via the set of prongs is constructed to crimp a wire as the pair of handles is closed.
Surgical Rod Bender
An instrument for bending a surgical rod includes first and second arm assemblies. The first arm assembly includes first and second arms having respective first and second receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The second arm assembly includes third and fourth arms having respective third and fourth receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The instrument is reconfigurable from an initial configuration in which the first and third receiving portions of the respective first and third arms engage the surgical rod such that spreading of the first and third receiving portions in a first direction bends the surgical rod in a first orientation and spreading of the first and third receiving portions in a second direction bends the surgical rod in a second orientation opposite to the first orientation.
