METHOD FOR PROCESSING ROUND METALLIC WIRE, ROUND METALLIC WIRE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POWER DISTRIBUTION COMPONENT
A three-dimensionally shaped round metallic wire having a cross-section non-circular portion in a predetermined portion without performing additional processing and having specified dimensional accuracy and accuracy of form. In an intermediate step in which the round metallic wire is processed in a predetermined three-dimensional shape, a cross-section non-circular portion forming machine 20 which forms the cross-section non-circular portion having a non-circular cross-sectional shape in at least one position is included. At the time of bending, the cross-section non-circular portion is held by a wire holding portion of a bending machine 30, and the bending is performed in the predetermined three-dimensional shape. Holding the cross-section non-circular portion causes relative rotation between the cross-section non-circular portion and the wire holding portion to be suppressed as compared with a case of the cross-section circular shape. Accordingly, bending accuracy in the three-dimensional shape for the round metallic wire is improved.
Straightener for straightening cables
A straightening apparatus for straightening cables includes a first roller group having several rollers and a second roller group having several rollers opposite the first roller group. The cable alternates in a transport direction between the rollers of the first roller group and the rollers of the second roller group. The straightening apparatus further includes an infeed device with which the first roller group can be displaced in a closing direction against the second roller group. In order to secure the position of the first roller group displaced in the closing direction by the infeed device, the straightening apparatus includes a backstop which blocks a backward movement of the first roller group against the closing direction. The backstop has a clamping roller which is received in a wedge gap.

Lead wire straightening device
A lead wire straightening device including a control device that disposes a lead wire of a lead component that is held by a holding section between a first claw section and a second claw section. The control device causes an opening/closing driving section of a straightening unit to clamp and straighten the lead wire by the first and second claw sections. After the lead wire is clamped, the control device causes a driving section to rotate at least one of the holding section and the straightening unit to thereby change positions of the first and second claw sections relative to the lead wire. Then, after changing the positions of the first and second claw sections relative to the lead wire, the control device causes the first and second claw sections to clamp the lead wire again to straighten the lead wire.

METHOD AND WIRE PROCESSING MACHINE THAT PRODUCES PREPARED SHAPED PARTS
A method of producing shaped parts includes drawing wire from a wire stock and feeding the wire to a processing machine; straightening the wire in the wire processing machine; and separating shaped parts of a predefinable wire length from the straightened wire, wherein, to separate a shaped part from the fed wire, at a separating position provided for separation, the wire is first notched in at least one notching operation from two opposite sides by notching tools such that a tapered wire cross section remains between opposing notches at the separating position, and in a dividing operation, the notched wire is separated at the separating position in a region of the tapered wire cross section by engagement of two dividing tools on opposite sides of the wire and their synchronous feed in opposite feed directions perpendicularly to the wire axis until the wire material is severed at the separating position.
