A moving bed has a fixed bed part as a resting area for the head and upper body of a person, and a longitudinally moving bed part as a resting area for the buttocks and legs of a person. The bed has a first bed frame in the form of a stationary fixed frame that extends as a stationary longitudinal frame over the entire length of the bed and on which the upper, fixed bed part is formed. The bed has a second bed frame as a moving frame, which forms the lower longitudinally moving bed part; the moving frame is held to the fixed frame so that it can move longitudinally. A motor drive is mounted between the fixed frame and the moving frame, and by this motor drive, the moving frame may be moved alternatingly back and forth relative to the fixed frame in a predetermined longitudinal section.

A frame for an adjustable has a head section with two longitudinal frame rails separated by at least two lateral members extending between the two longitudinal frame rails, and two sleeves each having a cavity with one of the two sleeves on each of the two longitudinal frame rails. The frame has a foot section having two longitudinal frame rails separated by at least two lateral members extending between the two longitudinal frame rails, and two sleeves each having a cavity with one of the two sleeves on each of the two longitudinal frame rails, and an inner tube with a nose for each of the two sleeves and for moving between a first position retracted in the cavity of the sleeve and a second position extending from the cavity of the sleeve.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED OPERATION OF MOVEABLE ROBOTIC ELEMENTS

Embodiments of this application describe improved techniques for operating moveable furniture items. The techniques can include configuring a moveable furniture item such that it will not pivot of tip over during normal operating conditions. The techniques can also include certain passive safety features, such as selecting components that experience a fail condition if a certain threshold condition is reached. In some embodiments, the furniture item can be programmed to operate in various modes, desirable in certain circumstances. The techniques described herein can improve both the functionality and the safety of moveable furniture items.

LIFT SYSTEM INCLUDING A LOCK ASSEMBLY AND RELEASE DEVICE

A lift system comprises a plurality of bottom components, a plurality of top components structured to support a structure thereon, and a lifting assembly coupled to each of the plurality of bottom components and the plurality of top components. The lifting assembly comprises a plurality of lifting members configured to move the lifting assembly between a lowered configuration and a raised configuration, and a locking member coupled to a corresponding lifting member and configured to move between a locked position and an unlocked position in the raised and lowered configuration of the lifting assembly. A lock assembly is coupled to the lifting assembly and includes a lock/unlock member and a linking component coupling the lock/unlock member to the locking member. A release device is selectively engaged with the lock/unlock member by a user to activate the lock assembly for unlocking the locking member.

INTELLIGENT MOVABLE AND RETRACTABLE BED FRAME

The present disclosure discloses an intelligent movable and retractable bed frame, including an upper bed frame and a bottom bed frame; the upper bed frame is hinged with the bottom bed frame; the upper bed frame includes an upper frame rod and an upper frame crossarm with one end connected to the upper frame rod; the upper frame crossarm is connected with an upper frame extending stand which can transversely move along the upper frame crossarm; the bottom bed frame includes a bottom frame rod and a bottom frame crossarm with one end connected to the bottom frame rod; the bottom frame crossarm is connected with a bottom frame extending stand which can transversely move along the bottom frame crossarm; and the upper frame extending stand is hinged with the bottom frame extending stand.

SNORE DETECTION AND RESPONSE FOR ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEMS

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for detecting snore and automatically adjusting a bed system to a position intended to mitigate the snore. The bed system can include a mattress, an adjustable foundation, and a controller having a processor. The processor can be configured to generate, in response to sensing snoring from a user of the bed system, instructions for tilting the adjustable foundation to a predetermined position such that an angle between a head portion of the adjustable foundation and the ground is greater than an angle between a foot portion of the adjustable foundation and the ground. The ground can be a horizontal plane. The predetermined position can be a position intended to mitigate snore.

SUPPORT APPARATUS ADJUSTABLE BY AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
20170332798 · 2017-11-23 ·

A support apparatus adjustable by an electric motor for supporting padding of a seat and/or a reclining furniture, in particular a mattress of a bed, has a base body with an outer frame. Outer frame is configured and set up for resting on a support surface and an inner frame having at least two support parts adjustable relative to one another. Support apparatus has an electromotive drive apparatus with at least one adjustment element in drive connection with at least one electric motor, which for adjusting at least one support part is in drive connection with the electric motor. The outer frame is formed at least in sections by a C-shaped profiled rail. The C-shaped profiled rail forms a linear guide. The liner guide guides the adjustment element in the direction of the profile in a linearly displaceable manner.

Mattress supporting system with headboard attachment

A folding mattress support system replaces a conventional bed frame with rails and the box spring. The mattress support system is lighter, easier to transport, and provides more storage space beneath the mattress. The mattress support system includes bed frame assemblies, central connecting bars, edge attachments, headboard attachments and a bed skirt. Leg supports fold out from the bed frame assemblies, which themselves unfold in the middle. Central connecting bars connect inner side edges of the bed frame assemblies. Plastic edge attachments are attached at outer corners of the bed frame assemblies and hold a bed skirt taut when the frame assemblies are standing on extended leg supports. A mattress is then placed on top of the assembled mattress support system. Optionally, metal edge attachments at the head corners hold both the bed skirt and a headboard. Alternatively, headboard attachments protrude from under the bed skirt and support a headboard.
