Interchangeable cutting inserts and methods associated with the same
A cutting insert configured to couple to a pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes a first cutting edge and a second cutting edge opposite the first cutting edge. A pipe cutting assembly is provided and includes a first base, a second base separate from the first base, and a cutting insert interchangeably couplable to the first base and the second base to perform a first cut with the cutting insert coupled to the first base and a second cut with the cutting insert coupled to the second base. A pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes a tool support, a first cutting tool base and a second cutting tool base interchangeably coupled to the tool support, and a cutting insert interchangeably coupled to the first cutting tool base and the second cutting tool base.
SPLIT FRAME GEARBOX
A gearbox for mating either a hydraulic motor or a pneumatic motor to a clamshell lathe, or the like, includes a lower frame member forming a gear housing with an upper frame member as a removable cover. When the cover is removed, an input drive gear and an associated first driven gear can be readily removed and replaced to alter the gear ratio afforded by the gearbox to optimize the output torque when either the hydraulic motor or the pneumatic motor is the power source.
Tool bit apparatus, system, and method for cutting an object
A system, a method and a cutting apparatus may use a bit to cut an object. The apparatus may have a bit connected to a cutting block on a cutting apparatus. The cutting apparatus may rotate about the object while the bit may advance into the object to cut the object. The cutting apparatus may have another bit located opposite to the bit to bevel an edge of the object. The cutting system may reduce point loads and/or provide an equalized load. The cutting system may reduce tool pressures when cutting a pipe and may provide extended tool and/or bit life.
Tip dressing cutter
A low-cost tip dressing cutter causing no accumulation of swarf around a breaker is provided. A surface of a breaker 5 facing a cutting plate 4 corresponds to a recessed surface 52. The diameter of the recessed surface 52 gradually decreases with increasing distance from the outer periphery of the recessed surface 52 facing the cutting plate 4 in a direction opposite to the cutting plate 4. A through hole 51 is formed at the center of the breaker 5, A screw 6 inserted through the through hole 51 is screwed to a fastening hole 33a of a holder 3 to attach the cutting plate 4 to the breaker 5.

Bar Feeding Device
In order for a bar feeding device comprising at least one bar guide for feeding at least one item of bar stock to at least one workpiece spindle of a lathe, and a machining unit, for producing an end contour at one end of the item of bar stock, which enables gripping of the end by means of a collet chuck in the bar guide to be improved such that said bar feeding device operates as efficiently as possible and in particular reloading of items of bar stock into the at least one bar guide can be performed as efficiently as possible and within a short time, it is proposed that the bar feeding device has a bar loading magazine that is rotatable about a magazine axis and comprises more than two bar guides that are disposed about the magazine axis in a magazine drum, and that the bar feeding device comprises a buffer storage unit that is disposed between the machining unit and the bar loading magazine and stores a plurality of premachined items of bar stock that are provided with the end contour.

PIPE CUTTER WITH GAUGE AND REAMER/BEVELLER OF CUT PIPE EDGES
A pipe cutter with gauge and reamer/beveller of the cut edges of pipe. On the body of the pipe cutter there is at least one gauge; between it and the body a cavity is delimited capable of accepting the end of a pipe (t); each gauge having on its end a mouth that varies its diameter between a minimum (d1) at its base and a maximum (d) that coincides with the gauge of the pipe (t) it accepts. There is also at least one blade on each existing gauge or on a beveller equipped with one or several portions (S) with at least one blade on each of them. A pipe (t) is inserted in the corresponding gauge, first gauging the diameter of its cut edge and then the blades simultaneously bevel and ream the cut pipe (t) edge.
