Apparatus for Removing Turnings from a Workpiece Being Machined
An apparatus for converting elongate stringy turnings from a workpiece being machined to short chips. There is an endless conveyor carrying grapples to grab the stringy turnings and move them along the length of the conveyor and then preferably to a metal chipper assembly which converts the stringy turnings into short chips.
Method Tool And Method Of Operating A Machine Tool
The invention relates to a machine tool (1), in particular a dental milling machine or mill-turning machine, comprising a spindle (10) for receiving a tool and a working arm (12) for receiving a workpiece and comprising at least one nozzle (14a) attached to the spindle (10), in particular with its outlet direction (R) substantially parallel to the axis of rotation (A) of the spindle (10), characterized in that a deflecting body (16) is attached to the spindle (10) or clamped therein, said deflecting body extending in particular at least partially in front of the nozzle (14a). Further, the invention relates to a method of operating the machine tool (1).
Silent spiral conveyor
A spiral conveyor having a novel structure that is adapted to handle any chip while having a simple structure and is capable of achieving low vibration and low noise is provided. A tray for a spiral conveyor is configured from an outer tray, an inner tray which is placed over the inside of the outer tray, and a vibration damping material which is interposed between the outer tray and the inner tray. The tray has a fixing means for detachably fixing the inner tray and the vibration damping material to the outer tray on the outside of a conveyance spiral casing. The vibration damping material may be a single vibration damping material which is continuous over substantially all of the area between the outer tray and the inner tray, or may alternatively be arranged so as to be separated into a lower vibration damping material that is provided in a noise generation area with which a conveyance spiral is brought into contact and upper vibration damping materials that are provided in a noise propagation area including the fixed portion.
TWINHAMMER NOZZLE WEDGE
A spray dust compression system and method includes a nozzle holder for affixing a spray nozzle to a percussive tool. The nozzle holder includes an arcuate wall having a first surface engageable with the percussive tool, and a second surface opposing the first surface. A protruding body protrudes radially outwardly from the second surface relative to a longitudinal axis of the arcuate wall and a concave recess is formed in the protruding body and receives the spray nozzle. The concave recess is angled inwardly toward the longitudinal axis of the arcuate wall.
Machine debris clean out system
An apparatus for removing debris from under a machining location is formed of a static collection surface located below the machining location having a transition portion laterally offset from the machining location and a fluid discharge positioned above the transition portion. The fluid discharge includes a fluid source and a reservoir having an interior adapted to receive and contain a quantity of a fluid from the fluid source for a period of time. The fluid sicharge is adapted to periodically discharge the fluid therefrom so as to be guided by the transition portion across the collection surface to sweep the debris off the static collection surface towards a collection point.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE MACHINING OF AN END OF AN ELEMENTARY PANEL FOR ITS FRICTION STIR WELDING
Device for machining an end of an elementary panel for its subsequent friction stir welding, the elementary panel comprising a metal body defining two opposite faces, the machining device comprising a chassis, at least two guiding members configured to guide a first face of the elementary panel, at least one machining tool mounted on the chassis, the machining tool being positioned between the two guiding members and at least one pressure member mounted on the chassis and configured to exert a pressure on a second face of the elementary panel so as to press the elementary panel against the guiding members along the horizontal reference direction.
Filtering unit for a filtering chip conveyor
A filter unit, or more specifically, a filter box for a chip conveyor for conveying cutting chips that are produced in the operation of a machine tool, such as a lathe or the like. More specifically, the exemplary filter unit has at least one internally located brush that is used for removing different types of chips contained in a coolant fluid and/or cutting oil used in machine tools during metal working through mechanical brushing and jolting the surface of the filtration element(s) of the filter unit. A chip conveyor and a method of filtering cutting fluid in a filtering chip conveyor is also disclosed.
Portable, handheld tool having a floor plate
The invention relates to a floor plate, in particular for portable, handheld tools with a combustion engine, an essentially flat surface with an continuous outer edge and at least one first opening with a related edge and a second opening with a related edge, wherein the at least one edge of an opening exhibits an element that projects at an inclined angle, which serves as a baffle plate to divert sparks and particles, and further that at least the continuous edge of the floor plate and/or the edge of at least one opening are at least sectionally beaded or pulled up.
Chip evacuation device driven by synchronous motor
In a chip evacuation device that evacuates chips produced in a machine tool to outside of the machine tool, a synchronous motor is used as a power source for the chip evacuation device. A load on the synchronous motor is monitored and a number of rotation or a direction of rotation of the synchronous motor is changed when it is determined that the load exceeds a preset threshold.
NUMERICAL CONTROL DEVICE
A numerical control device includes: an estimation unit to estimate an accumulation amount of swarf to be produced when a tool mounted on a machine tool cuts a workpiece on the basis of a machining condition in cutting the workpiece by the tool and a value of current to be applied to a motor for moving a shaft of the machine tool when the tool cuts the workpiece. The numerical control device further includes a correction unit to correct the accumulation amount of swarf estimated by the estimation unit on the basis of a machining mode specifying a shape of swarf to be produced when the tool cuts the workpiece.
