Fastener alignment tools and methods of utilizing the same are disclosed herein. The fastener alignment tools are configured to operatively engage a plurality of fasteners with a corresponding plurality of fastening locations and include a gripping region and an alignment tool body. The alignment tool body defines a plurality of fastener-receiving regions. Each fastener-receiving region includes a fastener receptacle, which is configured to receive a corresponding fastener in a received orientation relative to the alignment tool body, and a fastener retention structure, which is configured to retain the corresponding fastener within the fastener-receiving region at a retained orientation relative to the alignment tool body. The methods include positioning each fastener of the plurality of fasteners within a corresponding fastener-receiving region, retaining each fastener within the corresponding fastener-receiving region, orienting the fastener alignment tool relative to the plurality of fastening locations, and simultaneously releasing each fastener.

Adjusting and Positioning Device for Wooden Boards
20200215669 · 2020-07-09 ·

An adjusting and positioning device for wooden boards includes a first part and a second part. A cover unit is movably connected between the first and second parts. A driving unit is connected with the cover unit. An activation member is engaged with the toothed portions of two racks of the driving unit. A sleeve includes a shaft that movably extends through the sleeve. The shaft includes spiral teeth, and two arms are threadedly engaged with the spiral teeth. The arms are pivotably connected with two clamp members which are slidably connected to a base. When the first part and the second part are gripped by a user, and the cover unit is pressed, the shaft is moved to pivot the arms which drive the clamp members to move along the guide grooves of the base to control a distance between two adjacent boards by one hand.

Multiple Entry Angle Adaptor with Locator for Fastener Installation Tool

An adaptor for a fastener driver assembly employs a bi-positionable angle guide assembly mounted to a head having an entry reference surface defining an opening for a fastener. The adaptor provides a proper location and entry angle for the fastener for implementing various structural connections. A pivotal angle guide has a pair of reference engagement edges functionally configured to engage either an upper horizontal member or a lower horizontal member. A locator having a location reference is mounted to the guide assembly. In one mode, the reference edges, together with the location reference, define a proper entry location and normal angle for connecting a horizontal member, which may be either an upper plate or a lower plate, to a rim board or other structural member. The selected adaptor position is achieved by securing the adaptor in one of two stable angular positions relative to the drive axis of the fastener driver assembly. In a second mode, the implemented entry angle is oblique to the horizontal member. The adaptor also includes at least one flush indicator to indicate that the proper flush position of a reference surface is achieved. The locator is removably mounted to the pivotal angle guide and mounts a variably positionable position detector with a measurement scale.

Installation tool/fastener system for roof truss framing and construction

An installation tool/fastening system employs an installation tool which is adapted for fastening a top plate to a roof support member or other structural connections and is particularly adapted for use in driving a wide variety of fasteners. One installation tool embodiment is adapted for driving a fastener having a head with a maximum diameter greater than the major diameter of the fastener threads. The installation tool is also adaptable to drive fasteners having a wide variety of drive-type head configurations including an external drive head and various recessed or socket configurations provided in the fastener head.

Method of using a fastener guide to install a fastener
10576612 · 2020-03-03 · ·

A method of using a fastener guide to install a fastener that can include moving a funnel of the fastener guide over an upright fastener so that a head of the fastener is guided into and enters a barrel of the guide such that a drive feature can align and register with the head in the barrel. The method can include extending a gap flange of the guide into a gap between adjacent boards and advancing the fastener from the guide into the gap, and into a joist under the board to secure the board to the joist.

A Deck Construction Device

A deck construction device for assisting with laying decking. The device as a body which has a handle and a substantially planar face from which at least two spacers extend. At least one screw hole is defined through the body, the at least two spacers are arranged to span a width of a decking plank. The length of a first spacer corresponds to the thickness of a decking plank; and the length of a second spacer extends beyond the thickness of the decking.

Drive guide for fastening bits
10513017 · 2019-12-24 · ·

A drive guide for driving a fastening bit includes a drive shaft, a socket shaft with a rear end non-rotationally coupled to the front end of the drive shaft and a front end with a socket that receives the fastening bit, and a sliding sleeve received over the socket shaft and slidable between a rear position and a forward position. A magnet is received in the socket with an air gap behind the magnet to magnetize a fastening bit received in the socket. An internal shoulder is integrally formed inside a rear end of the sliding sleeve. The internal shoulder abuts an external rear stop on one of the drive shaft and the socket shaft when the sliding sleeve is in the rear position and abuts a front external stop on the socket shaft when the sliding sleeve is in the forward position.

APPARATUS FOR STORING SCREWS AND GUIDING SCREWS DURING INSERTION
20190381616 · 2019-12-19 · ·

An apparatus for storing fasteners, typically screws, and guiding them during insertion into a surface employs a block of material having a lower face for bringing into proximity with surface and an upper face, parallel to the lower face. A set of screws are embedded in the block with their central axes parallel such that the screw heads are accessible to a driver from an upper face and screw tips are located within the block adjacent to a lower face. The screws are preferably deployed in side-by-side rows, advantageously in one or more rectangular or hexagonal grid. A driver acting on the head of one of screws is effective to drive the screw through block and into surface to reach a final inserted position.
