A floor board including a decorative surface layer applied to a substrate, where the substrate has MDF or HDF material at a side edge thereof, where the side edge is treated both with an impregnation agent and/or a sealing agent based on a superabsorbing material. Also a method for manufacturing such floor boards.

The present invention discloses a reconstituted bamboo board integrating an embossed texture decoration and protective functions, comprising a reconstituted bamboo layer and a heat-pressed and cured film layer with an embossed texture decoration located on a surface of the reconstituted bamboo layer.

A method for providing container flooring for a container, including: providing a plurality of container flooring boards, each including a plurality of strand layers including strands of wood bonded together, at least a top strand layer and a bottom strand layer of the container flooring board having its strands substantially aligned in a first direction, and a dimension of the container flooring board in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction being selected to extend laterally between sides of the container in use; and arranging the container flooring boards inside the container, each container flooring board being positioned so that the strands of the top strand layer and the bottom strand layer are substantially aligned longitudinally relative to the container and the container flooring board extends laterally between the sides of the container, and respective edges of adjacent container flooring boards abut one another.

A method for producing a veneered board having a veneer and a carrier board, to provide a veneered board having improved use properties. The method includes: providing a veneer having an upper face and a lower face, applying an additive onto the lower face of the veneer, applying a binder onto the lower face of the veneer, heating the binder, producing a stack of materials to be pressed, having a carrier board and a veneer provided with an additive and a binder on its lower face, wherein the lower face of the veneer lies on the carrier board, pressing the stack of materials to be pressed in order to form a veneered board.

An engineered wood based siding, cladding or panel with a fines interface layer between the main strand matrix layers and the fines layer to minimize telegraphing and provide an improved surface appearance. The fines interface layer is applied to the surface of the strand matrix or mat prior to application of the fines layer. The FIL sits between the strand matrix and the fines layer, and prevents the loss of fines into the strand matrix. The FIL thus keeps the fines at the surface so they can effectively and efficiently function to prevent or eliminate strand telegraphing, and provide a smooth finished surface for the product.

Wood-plastic hybrid component for use in a motor vehicle having a multi-component structure including a wood subsection, at least one water-impermeable plastic coating, arranged directly on the wood subsection for protecting the wood subsection, and a plastic subsection. A process for the production of panels made of wooden material comprises at least the following phases: supply of a plurality of types of wooden material in the form of flakes and/or dust; forming of at least one support layer in at least one of the types of wooden material on a work surface; forming of at least one final layer on top of the support layer, in another of the types of wooden material other than that of the support layer itself, so as to form a mattress; compacting of the mattress to form a compacted panel made of wooden material, wherein the process comprises, after the formation of the at least one support layer and before the formation of the at least one final layer, at least one steam heating phase and one pressing phase of the at least one support layer to obtain a pre-compacted mattress.

Composition of a composite material for containers, method of the preparation thereof and its use. The composition comprises a continuous matrix of a thermoplastic polymer having a melting point higher than 110° C. and, distributed within the matrix, non-fibrillated wood particles having a sieved size greater than 1.0 mm. The weight ratio of thermoplastic polymer to wood particles being 45:55 to 80:20. Material further contains 0.1 to 10% by weight, calculated from the total weight of the thermoplastic polymer and the wood particles, of a slate-like mineral pigment. The material is particularly suitable for containers of cosmetic products, for foodstuff and for beverages.

A pressing element for manufacturing laminate panels includes a metal plate with at least two sections that exhibit a surface structure suitable for forming a structure on one of the laminate panels, and having a first zone. The pressing element has separate markings for orienting the first zone, and/or in that the surface structure is obtained by way of etching, whereas the first zone is provided with a chamber by means of a milling operation, and/or in that the surface structure defines a lowest point and a highest point. The first zone includes a first chamber located at a depth below the highest point and at most 0.3 mm below the lowest point.
