The subject matter of the present invention pertains to a RTM tool having a sealing system. This sealing system comprises an elastic sealing strip which is disposed in an undercut manner in one of at least two tool parts to be sealed. It is characterized in that the sealing strip is essentially stressed perpendicular to the sealing strip surface when the tool parts are closed by means of the part of the tool pressing on the sealing strip and deforming it into the sealing gap which is present, in the direction of the mould cavity. The sealing strip comes into contact with the moulding compound without forming a mechanical connection therewith.

Method and device for producing a fibre composite component

The present invention provides a method for producing a fiber composite component, the method comprising arranging a first and a second mold in relation to one another in such a way that these together form a first cavity; laying a fiber material on the first and/or second mold; filling the first cavity with a casting material and solidifying the casting material in order to seal the first and second molds to one another and/or to interconnect them; and infiltrating the fiber material with a matrix and curing the matrix to form the fiber composite component.

System for inverted casting mold for producing a comestible baked product in complex shapes

A system and method for producing a comestible baked product in complex shapes using cast molding. Embodiments generally include a first part and a second part, the first part being made up of at least two or more component pieces, then, the first part is detachably coupled to the second part creating an outer surface and an inner surface which create a contiguous internal hollow space that extends from the first piece to the second piece in the form of a three dimensional shape, and a means for supporting the unitary mold in a special and beneficial baking orientation. Other embodiments may include a single piece that is attachable to the rim of a cup of a multi-cup baking cup pan or a to a single, stand-alone cup pan. The interior of the mold can receive a baking cup liner.

Baking liner with aperture

A liner that can be used for baking. The liner includes an aperture such that the liner can be placed into a mold that also includes an aperture such that the aperture of the baking liner and the mold are at least partially aligned and, a substance to be baked can be injected into the mold through the aperture of the mold and the aperture of the liner. The liner may include one or more wings that at least partially cover the aperture and that can be folded through the aperture of the mold and against a surface of the mold to hold the liner in place. After baking, the one or more wings can be folded back over the aperture to at least partially cover the aperture.

Top and bottom ferrous carrier plates have a plurality of pairs of mating insert receptacles in full carrier plates and interlocked partial carrier plates. Pairs of mating nonferrous pre-molded inserts with mating mold cavities insert with a three axis floating fit into mating insert receptacles. Insert contact faces each comprising a flat surface portion having a plurality of mating alignment elements adapted for automatic precision alignment of the mating pair of pre-molded inserts. An injector structure comprising a plunger and pot bushing structure communicates with a pot on each top pre-molded insert. The bushing structure has a solidifying cavity and stripping structure so that retraction of the plunger separates the solidified material from the plunger face for automatic removal of surplus injected material after each molding cycle.

METHOD OF CURING A COMPOSITE ARTICLE USING DIFFERENTIAL VACUUM
20170095984 · 2017-04-06 · ·

A method of curing a composite layup may include applying an inner bag vacuum pressure to an inner bag chamber and an outer vacuum pressure to an outer vacuum chamber. The vacuum inner bag chamber may be formed by a vacuum bag covering a composite layup and sealed to a forming tool with an inner bag chamber seal. The inner bag vacuum pressure may be no less than the outer vacuum pressure. The temperature of the composite layup may be increased to an elevated temperature to initiate a temperature hold period. The method may additionally include venting the outer vacuum chamber to atmosphere to initiate an outer vacuum chamber venting period during the temperature hold period, and applying compaction pressure to the inner bag chamber seal during the outer vacuum chamber venting period. The outer vacuum pressure may be re-applied to the outer vacuum chamber to terminate the outer vacuum chamber venting period.

Mold for impregnating a prefabricated condenser core of a high-voltage bushing and device for forming a condenser core of a high-voltage bushing

An exemplary mold is disclosed for impregnating a prefabricated condenser core (C) of a high voltage bushing with a liquid resin and includes two mold modules movable against each other and shaped to form an axially symmetric mold cavity. The mold forms a column of cylindrical design, in which the at least two mold modules are arranged on top of each other. A first of the two mold modules can be executed as a hollow cylinder. Two opposing front faces of the two mold modules and a circular O-ring arranged between the two opposing front faces form a first sealing interface of the metal mold. Such a mold can have a very efficient sealing system and allow high pressures to be applied to the liquid resin and a beneficial forming of the condenser core in a device in which the resin is cured according to a specified temperature profile.
