Resin molded product and molding device
A transparent resin molded product and a mold for molding the product are provided in which occurrence of silver streak in the resin molded product is prevented. The resin molded product includes a design portion and a non-design portion, at least a part of the design portion is molded by transparent resin, and a gate trace (a gate arrangement position during the resin molding) is disposed in the non-design portion (runner portion). A foreign matter restraining portion for restraining foreign matters and bubbles contained in the transparent resin is disposed in the vicinity of the gate trace of the non-design portion. The foreign matters and bubbles are restrained by the foreign matter restraining portion and are prevented from flowing to the design portion, and therefore the occurrence of silver streak on the design portion can be prevented.
MOLDS FOR MAKING PROTECTIVE COVERINGS OVER METAL STRUCTURES
The present disclosure provides protective coverings formed by releasably attaching a mold to a metal structure over a connection, such as an exothermic or brazed connection, and injecting a hardening material into one or more fill ports in the mold. The hardening material hardens to form the protective covering encasing the connection.
COMBINED INJECTION MOULDING AND EXTRUSION
A method that combines injection molding and extrusion is disclosed. First, a molten material is injected into a mold via an injection gate, the mold comprising a first portion and a second portion. Next, additional molten material is injected via the injection gate and pushed through an extrusion die located in the first portion of the mold and the second portion is separated from the first portion. In embodiments, the second portion is separated from the first portion before the additional material is injected. In other embodiments, the second portion is separated from the first portion simultaneously with the additional material being injected. The method may be used to produce longer and thinner parts with detailed features, such as catheters.
Seals and method for making same
Extruded seals including a sealing portion with a honeycomb profile and method for making extruded seals with honeycomb profiles. An extrusion tool is provided with a first and second plate connected together. The first plate has a plurality of pins, which are vented to form a honeycomb profile. The second plate has a profiled opening receiving the plurality of pins and forming the overall shape of the part, including the outermost surfaces of the part. The pins serve as mandrels for extruded molten material to flow around. Varying the pin configuration and dimensions changes the honeycomb profile. The honeycomb structure is provided in the sealing portion of the extrusion. The honeycomb profile is formed by itself, co-extruded with a rigid or semi-rigid structural member, or applied to the rigid or semi-rigid structural member after the structural member is formed.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR A CAST STATOR OF AN ELECTRIC MACHINE
A method for manufacturing a stator for an electric machine, having the following steps: inserting a cast body with a nozzle from a first side of the stator into the stator, inserting a cast counterbody from a second opposing side of the stator into the stator, casting the stator with thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic, or resin by means of the nozzle, curing the thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic, or resin, wherein following the curing a cast-on piece of the thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic, or resin is sheared off using a rotational movement of the cast body or cast counterbody.
Mold die, resin molding apparatus, and method for producing resin molded product
A mold die includes: a mold die body that is configured to hold an object to be molded, the object including a substrate and a chip mounted in a central area of the substrate, and that has a cavity which is rectangular in a plan view and which is configured to receive a resin material, the mold die body including: a pot for containing the resin material; a gate disposed at one side of the cavity and configured to allow the resin material to flow into the cavity; and a flow-path restricting mechanism that is disposed on both lateral sides of the cavity that are perpendicular to the one side and that is configured to narrow lateral flow paths, the lateral flow paths being flow paths for the resin material flowing through the cavity in which the chip is not disposed.
Lens casting system
An optical lens casting gasket, wafer, and system and method that provides for more efficient formation of optical lenses employing optically functional wafers.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING RECESS DEPTH OF A MOLD INSERT
A mold device includes a first mold side configured to receive a substrate in a cavity and to couple with a second mold side, the first mold side including a sidewall and a gate, wherein the substrate is recessed in the first mold side at a substrate recess depth of 2 mm or greater, and wherein the substrate recess depth is a distance along the sidewall between a bottom of the gate and a surface of the substrate in a direction perpendicular to a line between the gate and a middle of the surface of the substrate, and wherein the bottom of the gate and a top of the sidewall are at distinct heights from the surface of the substrate.
DEVICE FOR MOULDING LENSES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LENSES
A moulding device, for forming lenses by moulding, includes: a moulding element including indentations formed in a face of the moulding element; a transparent plate held with respect to the moulding element so as to form, with the indentations, a cavity intended to allow the formation of a plurality of lenses; at least one injection passage intended to allow moulding product to be introduced into the cavity, the injection passage being arranged between the transparent plate and the moulding element; a moulding product injector arranged so as to allow moulding product to be introduced into the injection passage. The injector is removable, and the moulding device is configured so as to allow the injector to be removed while at the same time keeping the transparent plate held with respect to the moulding element.
Manufacturing method and manufacturing mold
A method for manufacturing a composite fiber component for a rotor blade of a wind turbine that includes introducing a fiber material into a mold, supplying a flowable matrix material via a longitudinally extending runner of the mold using a vacuum infusion method such that the fiber material is soaked with matrix material from the runner and the matrix material flows transversely to the longitudinal extension of the runner such that a first region of the fiber material is substantially soaked with matrix material from a first section of the runner and a second region of the fiber material is substantially soaked with matrix material from a second region of the runner, and matrix material flow rates are set for the first section and the second section of the runner depending on thicknesses of the fiber material in the first region and the second region of the runner, respectively.
