Method of manufacturing a belt member and the belt member
A tube material is formed by continuously extruding a thermoplastic resin material in the shape of a cylinder that has a thickness of 100 μm and a circumferential length of 800 mm. After that, in a polishing process, the tube material is rubbed with a lapping tape of #2000 while being rotated in one direction at a fixed speed, so that circumferential stripes are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the tube material. Then, the circumferential stripes are thermally transferred by pressing the outer circumferential surface of the heated tube material against a mold surface that is finished in the shape of circumferential stripes by a thermal transfer process.
PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP
This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING ARTICLES UTILIZING FOAM PARTICLES
Methods for manufacturing components of articles, including articles of footwear, apparel, and sporting equipment are provided. The disclosed methods comprise extruding a first composition comprising a plurality of foam particles suspended in a first material, wherein each particle of the plurality of foam particles is formed of a foamed second polymeric material; and solidifying the extruded first composition, forming a component. Also disclosed are first compositions comprising a first material and a plurality of foam particles comprising a foamed second polymeric material suspended in the first material. Articles and methods of manufacturing articles using the disclosed methods and compositions are also provided. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
STRUCTURE FOR REDUCING SLOSHING NOISES, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STRUCTURE
Structure for reducing sloshing noises, said structure being provided for disposal in a liquids container for a motor vehicle, having a random arrangement of mutually interlinked threads, wherein a plurality of the threads at least in portions are connected in a materially integral manner to at least one or a plurality of further threads of the structure, wherein the structure has at least one side in the region of which a planar cover of the random arrangement of mutually interlinked threads is provided at least in portions.
Head and system for continuously manufacturing composite tube
A method is disclosed for additively manufacturing a composite structure. The method may include coating a continuous strand with a matrix, discharging a composite tubular structure made from the coated continuous strand, and exposing the matrix in the composite tubular structure to light to cure the matrix during discharging. The method may also include depositing a material layer onto an internal surface of the composite tubular structure as the composite tubular structure is being discharged, and wiping a squeegee over the material layer.
SYNTHETIC AGGREGATE
Synthetic aggregate includes a plastic material and, in some embodiments, an amount of air added into the plastic material. In some embodiments, the plastic material is recycled plastic material. The synthetic aggregate is formed via extrusion of the plastic material and subsequent shaping of the extruded plastic. In some embodiments, the amount of air is added into the plastic material prior to extrusion.
THERAPEUTIC, FITNESS, AND SPORTS ENHANCEMENT DEVICE
A therapeutic, fitness, and sports enhancement device which includes a cylindrically shaped body having a predetermined density and predetermined diameter, the body including a plurality of projections of a predetermined shape. One or more of the predetermined density and the predetermined diameter in combination with the predetermined shape of the projections optimize mobilization of soft tissue structures of the human body.

Hair-retaining device and method of manufacture
A hair-retaining device is described as having a base material, a layer of epoxy resin, a compliant exterior layer disposed over the base material and joined to the base material of epoxy resin, and a top coat layer disposed over the compliant exterior layer. The method of making a hair-retaining device is described. The method involves extruding a base material to a predetermined shape, cutting the predetermined shape of the base material to a predetermined thickness, abrading a surface of the base material, applying an epoxy resin to the base material, and applying a compliant exterior layer disposed over the base material and joined to the base material by the epoxy resin.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CUTTING OFF AN EXTRUDATE
A process unit and methods are disclosed. One process unit including a pultrusion unit having a pultrusion channel, with the pultrusion channel being limited by at least one shaping wall. The process unit further includes an extrusion unit having an extrusion channel and an opening for removing the extrudate out of the extrusion channel, a cutting unit having a moving cutting element for cutting off the extrudate with the moving cutting element, and a conveying device for conveying a raw extrudate from the pultrusion unit into the extrusion unit. The cutting unit comprises a component that can be caused to move in a rotational manner and the component is mechanically coupled to the cutting element by a mechanical coupling device, such that the rotational movement of the component determines the movement of the cutting element.
