APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STRETCHING AND TAKING-AWAY POLYMER FILMS
A film (50) processing apparatus (20) including a film stretching device (22) and a take-away device (24). The take-away device receives the film after the stretching device and transports the film along a conveying region in a direction of transport (X). The take-away device includes opposing, first and second conveyor assemblies. The first conveyor assembly has a continuous belt driving a plurality of discrete pads (180a, 180b). Each pad forms a contact face (194a, 194b) extending between leading (200b) and trailing edges (202a). The pads are configured and arranged such that the trailing edge (202a) of a first pad (180a) overlaps the leading edge (200b) of an immediately adjacent second pad (180b) as the first and second pads traverse the conveying region. The overlap is characterised by a line (322) perpendicular to the direction of transport passing at any given moment through the first and second pads. A shape of the contact face can define a major central axis that is non-perpendicular and non-parallel with the direction of transport. The invention also relates to a method of processing a film using such an apparatus.
Method For Producing An Arc-Shaped Fibre Composite Component, And Preform
A method of manufacturing an arc-shaped fiber composite component includes forming a preform with a planar fiber layer arrangement formed along an arc and having an outer edge assigned to a convex outer side of the arc. The outer edge is formed with gaps extending into the arrangement in such a manner that a contour of the gaps is formed at least in sections near a target contour of a respective recess to be provided in the component. The preform is formed such that a first region of the arrangement, adjacent to the outer edge and extending substantially in the direction of the arc, is bent or angled relative to a second region of the arrangement, adjacent to the first region remote from the outer side of the arc. The gaps that the preform has prior to reshaping merge into recesses of the formed preform and remain open.
Method for manufacturing a plastic speaker grill for wireless speaker assembly
A method for manufacturing a plastic speaker grill is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a base member having a first side and an opposing second side and defining a thickness therebetween. The base member has a plurality of spaced blind holes wherein the first side is in communication with the plurality of blind holes and the second side defines a surface that is generally uniform and uninterrupted. The method further includes cutting the base member proximate the second side to remove a portion of the base member and define the speaker grill, and in response to cutting the base member, exposing the blind holes wherein the blind holes define apertures that extend completely through the speaker grill. A plastic speaker grill is provided having tightly-spaced and miniscule apertures.
MESH-PATTERNED RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT
Provided is a mesh-patterned resin molded product (10) used for encasing and protecting a hollow piping member provided in a vehicle or a small ship. The mesh-patterned resin molded product (10), in a case of an ordinary state where no load is applied to the mesh-patterned resin molded product (10), includes a plurality of first resin wired portions (11) that extend parallel to each other, and a plurality of second resin wired portions (12) that extend parallel to each other in a direction respectively intersecting the first resin wired portions (11). Each of the first resin wired portions (11) and each of the second resin wired portions (12) are joined to each other on a joint portion (13) positioned at a mutual intersection portion. At the intersection portion, a direction passing through both axial centers of the first resin wired portion (11) and the second resin wired portion (12) and being orthogonal to both the axial centers is set as an orthographic projection direction P. When the first resin wired portion (11) and the second resin wired portion (12) are viewed in the orthographic projection direction P, a second surface area that is a surface area of the joint portion (13) between the first resin wired portion (11) and the second resin wired portion (12) is smaller than a first surface area that is an overlapping surface area between the first resin wired portion (11) and the second resin wired portion (12). The plurality of first resin wired portions (11) and the plurality of second resin wired portions (12) are formed of a material including a thermoplastic resin.
Apparatus and method for processing cups
An apparatus (1) for processing cups (2), adapted to be filled with coffee or other products, whether solid or liquid, and to be closed with respective lids to form corresponding capsules, comprises: a plurality of pockets (50) for housing the cups (2); an infeed station (4) for receiving the cups (2) and placing them in respective pockets (50) of the plurality of pockets (50); at least one tool (31) for applying a process to a rear face (23B) of an annular flange (23) of a cup (2) housed a respective pocket (50), to form a sealing profile (230); an outfeed station (6) configured to release the cups (2) with the sealing profile (230) formed on them.
Process of forming polymeric material
A method for forming an article includes providing a sheet of material, optionally conditioning the sheet with a surface of a roller, forming the sheet to provide a web, and separating an article from the web to provide the article. An apparatus adapted to form the article from a sheet is provided.
Method for producing shape memory anti-counterfeiting identifier
A method for producing shape memory anti-counterfeiting identifier includes the following steps: a high polymer material with a shape memory function without the need of sunshine cross-linking or chemical cross-linking is directly extruded to become sheet in an extruder or is injected to be molded in an injection molding machine, and the extruded sheet can be a planar sheet or a sheet having a surface on which concave-convex patterns or characters are formed; the above sheet is then heated to the temperature higher than the vitrification temperature and lower than the melting point temperature, and the patterns or characters are pressed on the planar sheet, or the sheet on which the concave-convex patterns or characters are already formed is pressed to become planes or other patterns and characters; the sheet is then cut into small sheets, wherein one pattern or one group of characters is implied on every small sheet, and when the small sheets are again heated to the temperature higher than the vitrification temperature and lower than the melting point temperature, they will return to the extruded state.
