A method comprises in sequence the steps of: dispensing a continuous polymeric extrudate in a molten state; separating from the continuous extrudate a dose substantially having the shape of a parallelepiped, the dose having a separation surface at which the dose has been separated from the continuous extrudate, the dose further having a face adjacent to the separation surface; conveying the dose towards a mould comprising a first mould part and a second mould part; shaping the dose in the mould by moving the first mould part and the second mould part one towards the other in a moulding direction arranged transversally to said face, thereby obtaining a dispensing part of a container.

The dispensing part comprises: an edge zone suitable for being joined to a container body; a neck surrounding a passage through which a product contained in the container can be dispensed; a membrane which closes the passage, the passage being intended to be opened after the shaping step, so that said product can flow out.

Compostable wood composite material

A container for cosmetic products and a method of manufacturing the same. The container, such as a jar, has a wall formed by a first layer of a compostable material which comprises in combination a biodegradable polymer which forms a continuous matrix and, mixed therein, particles of a hydrophilic material capable of swelling inside the matrix upon water absorption. The container further comprises a second layer of a compostable material which comprises a biodegradable polymer which forms a continuous matrix and which is essentially free from particles of a hydrophilic material capable of swelling inside the matrix, or contains essentially less of them than the first layer. The container is degradable in compost, disintegration of the container wall, at 58° C., occurring within 12 weeks.

For this purpose, the device comprises a plate-like carrier element with a top and a bottom intended for attachment on or to the press and a holding device for accommodating at least one interchangeable platen equipped with the parts. The holding unit is arranged on the supporting element at a clear distance from its bottom and the interchangeable platen comprises a plurality of passage openings to accommodate the parts. Furthermore, the device comprises a platen with pins which are arranged between the bottom of the supporting element and the holding unit, wherein the pins align with the passage openings.

Mold, injection molding method and related cap with internal protruding portions
20220097269 · 2022-03-31 ·

A mold for injection molding of a plastic cap having protruding internal portions is provided. The mold has a male mold and a female mold that form a molding cavity. The male mold consists of a mobile portion fitted above a fixed portion, the mobile portion being rotatable around the fixed portion and provided with grooves having an inclined lateral surface that defines an outlet ramp. A method for producing a plastic cap by use of the mold is also provided. The method includes rotating the mobile portion of the male mold with respect to the plastic cap until flat walls of the mobile portion are located in the region of protruding portions of the plastic cap, thereby causing a slight circumferential expansion of the skirt of the plastic cap.

INJECTION MOLDED ARTICLES AND MOLD APPARATUSES FOR FORMING SAME
20220080635 · 2022-03-17 ·

An injection molded article includes: (a) an article first portion having internal threading extending helically about an article axis, the threading configured to be formed by a thread mold in a mold core; and (b) an article second portion spaced radially apart from the article first portion and connected to the article first portion by a connection portion. The article second portion has at least one ejection-assist rib configured to be formed by at least one rib mold feature in the mold core. The ejection-assist rib defines a helical slide surface extending helically about the article axis. During an initial unscrewing rotation of the molded article relative to the mold core, the rib mold feature of the mold core bears against the slide surface of the ejection-assist rib to urge the article second portion axially away from the mold core during ejection of the molded article from the mold core.

Cap with reduced thickness

A cap (1) for a container comprises: a body (2), configured to be coupled and uncoupled relative to the neck of the container and including an internally threaded side wall (21), which extends around a longitudinal axis (A), and a transverse wall (22); a tamper evident ring (3), including a retaining element (31), configured to engage a locking member on the neck of the container, and a joining portion (32), where the tamper evident ring (3) is joined to the cap body (2), the joining portion (32) being configured to be torn along a perimeter surrounding the longitudinal axis (A) in response to a movement of the body (2) away from the tamper evident ring (3), wherein the cap (1) comprises a connecting window (4) including a connecting band (40) and a film (400) which is thinner than the connecting band (40).

COMPRESSION MOLDING DEVICE

A compression molding device, which can obtain a high compression molding force without lowering the efficiency of article production, and whose molding means has a long service life, is provided. In the compression molding device, a one-side mold assembly moving means (58) includes a toggle link mechanism including two links (62) and (64), and a toggle link mechanism operating means (60), while an opposite-side mold assembly moving means (108) includes a hydraulic cylinder mechanism. When a one-side mold assembly (16) and an opposite-side mold assembly (18) are to be brought from an open state into a closed state, the one-side mold assembly (16) is first moved to a nearly closed state by the one-side mold assembly moving means (58), and then the opposite-side mold assembly (18) is moved from the nearly closed state to the closed state by the opposite-side mold assembly moving means (108).
