Aluminum composite panel containing aerogel and method for manufacturing same

An aluminum composite panel, containing an aerogel, includes an aerogel composite using a silica aerogel and a thermoplastic resin. A method for manufacturing the same includes providing an aluminum composite panel containing an aerogel, by molding an aerogel composite from a mixture of 1-90 wt % of a silica aerogel and 10-99 wt % of a thermoplastic resin, and then attaching aluminum plates on an upper surface and a lower surface of the aerogel composite, respectively, while an adhesive resin is coated on the upper surface and the lower surface. The aluminum composite panel containing an aerogel, manufactured according to the present invention, has a lower hygroscopic property than the conventional aluminum composite panel, due to the silica aerogel, and thus has an effect of exhibiting excellent adiabatic property and flame retardancy, retains excellent moldability, is light, and has an effect of facilitating a construction work.

Ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition as well as films and multi-layer structures thereof

The instant disclosure relates to ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition and/or pellets thereof including one or more fluorine-containing micro-particles. The ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition and/or pellets thereof may have a boron content of 10 to 450 ppm. EVOH films formed from the EVOH may have a Charpy impact strength of at least 2.5 KJ/m.sup.2 according to ISO 179-1 at 23 C. and an elongation at break of at least 18.2% according to ISO 527-2 at 23 C.

Multilayer film, method of making the same and containers formed from the same

A RF weldable film is provided. The film has outer layer including a PVDF copolymer or an alpha-olefin polymer and backing layer including a TPU copolymer. The film may have a gas barrier layer attached to the backing layer. The backing layer may include an EVOH copolymer. A method of making such a film is also provided. Containers made from such film are further provided.

TWO-COMPONENT SOLVENTLESS ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS FOR ADHESION TO POLYMERIC BARRIER SUBSTRATES

Two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive compositions are disclosed comprising an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate blend, and a polyol component comprising an amine-initiated polyol comprising two or more primary hydroxyl groups and a backbone incorporating tertiary amines, wherein the amine-initiated polyol comprises a functionality of from 2 to 12, hydroxyl number of from 5 to 1,830, and a viscosity at 40 C. of from 500 to 20,000 mPa-s, and a silicone-based additive (e.g., an anti-foaming agent and/or a wetting agent). The adhesive compositions are formulated such that the isocyanate and polyol components can be applied to separate substrates prior to mixing. Laminate structures comprising the disclosed adhesive compositions and further comprising a polymeric barrier substrate are also disclosed.

The invention relates to a polyolefin film comprising at least five layers: a core layer (a), comprising a polyolefin; an outer supporting layer (b), comprising copolymers of ethylene and propylene; an inner supporting layer (c), on the face of the core layer opposite to the outer supporting layer, comprising a polyolefin; a first coating layer (d) immediately in contact with the inner supporting layer (c), and finally a second coating layer (e) immediately in contact with the inner supporting layer (c), both comprising copolymers of ethylene with one or several polar monomers. In addition, the present invention relates to the process of manufacturing said polyolefin film and also the uses thereof for coating a substrate.

SEALING FILM SUITABLE FOR FOOD PACKAGING AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A sealing film suitable for food packaging is disclosed, which adopts the following solution. The sealing film comprises, in sequence, a PET layer, a VMPET layer and a PE layer from outside to inside, wherein the PE layer comprises 100-110 parts of PE, 15-20 parts of EVA, 15-20 parts of EAA, 55-60 parts of HDPE and 10-15 parts of LLDPE in parts by mass. In this manner, the addition of HDPE and LLDPE into the PE layer is intended to enhance the tensile strength of the sealing film.

The polyethylene with additive layer can be formed by co-extrusion of the polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate to form a filmor by blending of the polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate components for forming the film.
