Vehicle head-up display arrangement
A vehicle head-up display arrangement is provided that may include a projection unit, a vehicle driver eye position estimation unit and a detecting unit arranged to detect traffic signs and their location in relation to the vehicle, and a processing unit arranged to determine a content of the traffic signs. The processing unit is further arranged to determine relevance of content of the traffic signs. The projection unit is arranged to project light onto one or more areas of the windshield in line with the estimated eye position of the vehicle driver and traffic signs determined to have content not being relevant, such that these traffic signs, at least partially, are covered from the estimated eye position of the vehicle driver.
METHOD OF PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO DRIVER BASED ON HIGH-DEFINITION MAP OF ROAD, AND VEHICLE INTERCOMMUNICATION SYSTEM APPLYING METHOD
A method providing driving assistance based on a high-definition road map acquires information such as real time position of a vehicle, real time driving speed, and real-time information of upcoming road intersections. The intersection information includes traffic light information. Determinations as to whether the vehicle can safely pass through the intersection based on the real-time driving speed, and distances to and across the intersection are made, and it is also determined whether safe passage through the intersection is possible. An information intercommunication platform generates warnings to the vehicle being driven and other relevant when a crash is deemed likely between two vehicles, based on the determinations from the relevant vehicles which are in a specified range. A vehicle intercommunication system applying the method is also disclosed.
Shading device
A shading device comprises: a shading member formed using a dimming glass plate capable of changing light transmittance, the shading member having a plate shape; a display apparatus being capable of transmitting light and disposed on a surface of the shading member, the surface being to face an operator during use of the shading member, in such a manner that a display portion faces the operator; an image pickup device to pick up, as an image, a region which an opposite surface of the surface faces, and generate image pickup data; a data processing circuit to generate display image data to be displayed on the display portion during use of the shading member, based on the image pickup data generated by the image pickup device; and a switch to change light transmittance of the dimming glass plate.

Automated driving assist system
An automated driving assist system includes a vehicle controller that includes an entry-permission determiner. The entry-permission determiner searches for first and second traffic lights successively installed on a target traveling course. When the first and second traffic lights are successively installed, the entry-permission determiner determines whether the first traffic light is installed at an intersection. When the first and second traffic lights are successively installed and the first traffic light is installed at the intersection, the entry-permission determiner detects respective lighting statuses of signals indicated by the first and second traffic lights. When the first traffic light indicates a signal permitting vehicles to advance and the second traffic light indicates a signal prohibiting the vehicles from advancing, the entry-permission determiner acquires an available stop distance. The entry-permission determiner permits the own vehicle to enter the intersection based on the available stop distance and a traveling condition of a preceding vehicle.

Navigation using sensor fusion
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for resolving erroneous movement signals and for providing navigation instructions. One of the methods includes receiving data from two or more sensors, synchronizing the received data, determining a first subset of the synchronized data from the camera for a particular period of time and a second subset of the synchronized data from the other sensor for the particular period of time, comparing the first subset with the second subset to determine whether the first subset and the second subset indicate an erroneous movement signal, based on determining that the first subset and the second subset indicate an erroneous movement signal, selecting data for one of the sensors based on a sensor priority scheme for the sensors, and resolving the erroneous movement signal based on the selected data for the one of the sensors.
