Infrared camera system and vehicle
A left infrared camera module includes a left infrared irradiation unit configured to emit infrared toward a left side region of a vehicle, a left infrared camera configured to acquire infrared image data indicative of a surrounding environment in the left side region of the vehicle, and a control unit configured to control an operation of the left infrared irradiation unit. The control unit is configured to change an intensity of the infrared to be emitted from the left infrared irradiation unit, in correspondence to a condition relating to a traveling state of the vehicle. The left infrared camera module configured as described above can detect the surrounding environment in the side region of the vehicle without causing an uncomfortable feeling to other vehicle, a pedestrian and the like.
VEHICLE BADGE
A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a housing having a front viewable portion. A first light source is disposed rearwardly of the viewable portion. A second light source is disposed adjacently to the first light source. A third light source disposed adjacently to the second light source. The first, the second, and the third light sources are configured to sequentially illuminate at offset intervals.
RADAR TRANSPARENT VEHICLE EMBLEM WITH MULTI-COLOR, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL A-SURFACE
Disclosed herein are vehicle emblems, automobiles with vehicle emblems, and methods of manufacturing vehicle emblems. A vehicle emblem for an automobile includes a bezel for mounting the emblem to the automobile's vehicle structure, such as the front grille, engine hood, or outer fascia panel. A rigid backing is seated within and attached to the bezel. The rigid backing includes one or more depressions and/or one or more ribs. A cover sheet lays against and is attached to the front-surface of the backing. The cover sheet includes a transparent layer or film with a multi-color print. The cover sheet includes one or more depressions and/or one or more ribs that are formed in the transparent layer. Each of the cover sheet's depressions is seated inside one of the rigid backing's depressions, while each of the rigid backing's ribs is seated inside one of the cover sheet's ribs.
VEHICLE BADGE
A badge is provided herein. The badge includes a substrate attached to a housing. The housing includes a viewable portion. A light source is operably coupled with an optic. A reflective member is further disposed within the badge. A first portion of an excitation light emitted from the light source is directed through the optic toward a first portion of the viewable portion. A second portion of the excitation light is reflected by the reflective member towards a second portion of the viewable portion.
DECORATIVE MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A decorative molded body (1) comprises: a transparent layer (10) having an exposed surface (11) and an uneven back surface (12) on an opposite side of the exposed surface (11); a molded layer (50) disposed to face the back surface (12) of the transparent layer (10); a decorative film (30) formed in a predetermined contour shape, disposed to be sandwiched between the back surface (12) of the transparent layer (10) and the molded layer (50), and formed to follow an unevenness of the back surface (12) of the transparent layer (10), the decorative film (30) being visible through the transparent layer (10) from the exposed surface (11) of the transparent layer (10); and a sealing member (60) disposed in a periphery shape on an outer periphery side of the decorative film (30) and burying an outer periphery edge of the decorative film (30).
VEHICLE EXTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle exterior component includes a decorative main body and a heater sheet that includes a heating wire and a sheet base made of a plastic. The heating wire is routed on the back surface of the sheet base. The heater sheet includes a heating main body that is arranged to be closer to a front side than the decorative main body, and an extending portion that is bent along the outer circumference of the decorative main body to be arranged at a position closer to a back side than a front surface of the decorative main body. The extending portion includes a bent portion along the outer circumference. The wire length of the heating wire in the bent portion is set to a length that allows the heating wire to change shape to adapt to expansions and contractions of the sheet base in the bent portion.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DECORATIVE MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PROCESSED PRODUCT USING DECORATIVE MOLDED BODY
The disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a decorative molded body and a method for manufacturing a processed product using the decorative molded body. The method for manufacturing the decorative molded body includes: a film preparation step of molding a decorative film in a planar shape; a molding preparation step of, in a mold, disposing a transparent layer as an insert and disposing the decorative film of the planar shape; and a film forming step of, while supplying in the mold a material of a molded layer and molding the molded layer, forming the decorative film to follow an unevenness of a back surface of the transparent layer.
HOOD ORNAMENT MOUNTING SYSTEM
A hood ornament mounting system is provided. The system includes a ring member having a keyed structure, including dentations, along an internal perimeter of the ring member, and a pair of through channels formed along an outside perimeter of the ring member at opposite regions. Additionally, the system includes a base member with a pair of recesses formed at opposite regions along a perimeter of the base member. The base member includes a bottom surface configured to contact a surface of an automobile and a top surface dimensioned to fit within the internal perimeter of the ring member. The base member has grooves on the perimeter to accommodate the dentations. A locking pin is seated in each of the pair of recesses. The locking pin is configured to lockingly interact with the keyed structure.
VEHICLE AIR INDUCTION ASSEMBLY
A vehicle air induction assembly includes an air guide, an air duct and a bracket member. The air guide is configured to be connected to a vehicle fascia. The air duct is configured to be connected to the air guide. The air duct is configured to supply air to an engine air filter. The bracket member is connected to the air guide. The bracket member has a front wall facing in a forward direction of a vehicle, a rear wall facing in a rearward direction of the vehicle, and an upper wall connecting the front wall and the rear wall. A first air inlet in fluid communication with the air duct is defined by a surface of the air guide and the front, rear and upper walls of the bracket member. The first air inlet faces in a lateral direction of the vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FASTENING HARD AND SOFT TOP APPLIQUES
An apparatus and method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, providing a vehicle with a hard top option where a hard top can be attached to the vehicle, a soft top option where a soft top can be attached to the vehicle, and a dual top option where either the hard top or the soft top can be attached to the vehicle. A hard top applique is provided for the hard top and a soft top applique is provided for the soft top, and a common set of fasteners is used to attach the hard top applique and the soft top applique to a pillar as needed to attach the hard top or soft top to the vehicle.
