DOCK BUMPER WITH INTEGRAL LAMP CLEARANCE
A cargo vehicle includes a cargo area configured to receive a load of cargo for transport, and a plurality of wheels configured to support the cargo area above a road surface while the plurality of wheels roll along the road surface. A rear structure of the cargo vehicle includes a rear cross member located at a rear edge of the cargo area, and a first light array is located in the rear cross member. A first dock bumper is placed directly over a first lamp of the first light array on a first lateral side of the rear cross member, the first dock bumper including a through hole accommodating the first lamp to visually mark a first outboard edge of the cargo vehicle.
Construction Vehicle Safety Mechanism
A safety mechanism for use on a vehicle is provided. The safety mechanism comprises a buffer and a sensor that is configured to send an electrical signal to processing circuitry in the vehicle when the sensor is activated. Sufficient movement of the buffer activates the sensor. A drive line may also be provided with the buffer connected to the drive line. Movement of the buffer may cause rotation of the drive line, and sufficient rotation of the drive line may activate the sensor.
FRONT UNDERRUN PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A HEAVY VEHICLE
The invention relates to a front underrun protection device for a heavy vehicle comprising a beam configured to extend from side to side of the vehicle at a lower front position thereof and to absorb collision energy. The beam is at least partly made of a plastic or polymeric material. The beam comprises a housing beam member having at least one channel extending along the housing beam member, and at least one reinforcement beam member adapted to fit into the channel of the housing beam member. The reinforcement beam member is arranged in the channel and arranged to extend along the housing beam member. The reinforcement beam member is provided with a plurality of wall elements comprising transversal wall elements distributed along and extending across the reinforcement beam member and longitudinal wall elements extending in a longitudinal direction of the reinforcement beam member between the transversal wall elements.

Resilient front protective vehicle device having aerodynamic benefit
A protective device structure for a vehicle is provided that includes an outer surface or shell attached to or otherwise disposed upon a vehicle that covers a top edge of a vehicle to absorb impact. The protective device can include a compressible portion disposed in a cavity defined between the outer shell and the vehicle proximate to the top front wall of the vehicle.
Hybrid underrun protection device
An underrun protection device for a vehicle comprises a hybrid beam formed of a preform member and a thermoplastic formed onto the preform member, and configured to attach to a vehicle attachment element, the hybrid beam comprises the preform member defines a channel and is configured to couple with the vehicle and extend along a side of the vehicle parallel with a centerline of the vehicle, with an opening of the channel oriented away from the centerline, wherein the channel is defined by an inside surface at least partially facing away from the centerline, and an outside surface at least partially facing the centerline; and a thermoplastic beam formed of the thermoplastic and shaped to conform to the channel of the preform member, the thermoplastic beam at least partially abutting the inside surface of the channel.
