Vehicle Camera System
A vehicle camera system and method for operating a vehicle camera system comprising a vehicle camera with communication capabilities. The vehicle camera operating in conjunction with other components to provide information to users. The vehicle camera system compiles information from multiple components into a single repository of video recordings with information, such as location information, vehicle status and diagnostic information, alert information and other information.
Information processing apparatus, information terminal, information communication relay apparatus, and information processing method
An information processing apparatus includes a conversion object acquirer and a message converter. The conversion object acquirer acquires a message in a car, which is transmitted and received in the car between an information terminal for driver seat and any other information terminal, as a conversion object message, during a period from the time when the message is generated by a transmitting-end terminal to the time when the message is provided to a user by a receiving-end terminal. The message converter determines the type of a message conversion process on the basis of terminal attribute information of the receiving-end terminal and converts the conversion object message in accordance with the message conversion process which is determined, to thereby acquire a converted message.
Trailer rear camera sensing mechanisms and methods
Systems for detecting movement of a trailer having a rearward facing camera and linked to a tow vehicle. The systems include taking a first image and a second image with the camera and comparing the images. A first amount of trailer movement is determined between the second image and the first image. The systems may also take additional images and determine a second amount of trailer movement occurring between the additional images. Tracking the first amount and the second amount of trailer movement determines an amount of trailer sway. The determined trailer sway may be compared to a maximum allowable sway and, if the movement is greater than the maximum allowable sway, mitigating sway of the trailer with the tow vehicle.
Concrete Screed with Vision System
An apparatus for screeding concrete includes a frame, a plurality of drive wheels secured thereto, an extendable and retractable boom secured to the frame and a screed head secured to a distal end of the boom. The apparatus includes a control system operatively coupled to a plurality of cameras secured at points around the apparatus and an operator interface for displaying the view of each camera.
Dynamic distance estimation output generation based on monocular video
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a dynamic distance estimation output platform that utilizes improved computer vision and perspective transformation techniques to determine vehicle proximities from video footage. A computing platform may receive, from a visible light camera located in a first vehicle, a video output showing a second vehicle that is in front of the first vehicle. The computing platform may determine a longitudinal distance between the first vehicle and the second vehicle by determining an orthogonal distance between a center-of-projection corresponding to the visible light camera, and an intersection of a backside plane of the second vehicle and ground below the second vehicle. The computing platform may send, to an autonomous vehicle control system, a distance estimation output corresponding to the longitudinal distance, which may cause the autonomous vehicle control system to perform vehicle control actions.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUGMENTED TRAILER VIEW FOR VEHICLES
Methods and systems are provided for displaying a scene for a vehicle towing a trailer. A method includes: determining, by the processor, an angle of the trailer relative to the vehicle; determining, by the processor, a simulated trailer based on the angle of the trailer; determining, by the processor, a projection matrix based on the simulated trailer; generating, by the processor, scene data based on image data from a camera of the vehicle and image data from a camera of the trailer using the projection matrix; and generating, by the processor, display data to display the scene to an occupant of the vehicle based on the scene data.
System And Method For Assisted Or Automated Crop Transfer
A vision system for a harvester includes a first camera positioned on a first side of a crop transfer arm of the harvester and a second camera positioned on a second side of the crop transfer arm of the harvester, the second side being opposite the first side. A center of the first field of view and a center of the second field of view are angled away from one another by an angle of at least ten degrees. A first portion of the first field of view overlaps at least a portion of the second field of view and a second portion of the first field of view does not overlap the second field of view, and a first portion of the second field of view overlaps at least a portion of the first field of view and a second portion of the second field of view does not overlap the first field of view.
Vehicle and method for controlling the vehicle
A vehicle including a plurality of displays disposed at different positions inside the vehicle, each display including a touch screen and a cover layer on a top surface of the touch screen, the cover layer of a corresponding display having a color characteristic based on an interior part of the vehicle having the display such that when the corresponding display is off, the corresponding display appears hidden; a sensor configured to detect a seat location of a person seated in the vehicle; and a controller configured to selectively control the plurality of the displays based on the detect seat location of the person seated in the vehicle.
Device and method for providing information data with respect to an object of a vehicle environment contained in a video image stream
A camera surround view system for a vehicle includes at least one vehicle camera, which provides camera images. The camera images are processed by a data processing unit in order to produce a live video image stream, which is displayed on a display unit. The camera surround view system loads local cloud information data regarding an object shown in the live video image stream from a data network and displays the obtained local cloud information data as an overlay in the displayed live video image stream.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
An image display apparatus has: an imaging device (11L, 11R) that is placed at a door (15L, 15R) of a vehicle (1) and that is configured to image an external circumstance of the vehicle; a displaying device (14) that is configured to display an external image captured by the imaging device; and a controlling device (132, 133) that is configured to control an display aspect of the display when the display displays the external image, the controlling device is configured to control the display aspect such that the display aspect when the door is in an opened state is different from the display aspect when the door is in a closed state.
