GROUND REACTION FORCE PLATE APPARATUS AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A ground reaction force plate apparatus and measuring system are provided. The apparatus includes a plate for receiving a force to be measured as applied by a subject to the plate and a plurality of load cells in an arrangement supporting the plate, each load cell being a single-axis sensor with the axis provided at an angle to a plane of the plate and oriented towards a centre of the plate. The load cells are configured to measure data relating to a force vector at the angled single-axis sensor when the subject applies a force to the plate. A data collection controller is provided for logging time series measurements of the load cells over a time in which the subject applies a force to the plate. The system applies machine learning processing to output the load cell measurements as a three-dimensional ground reaction force on the plate by a subject.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GAIT ANALYSIS
A gait analysis apparatus includes a bottom insole pad, a top insole pad layered over the bottom insole pad and configured to be worn by a limb of a subject, a plurality of force sensors configured to sense force exerted by the limb at least in two directions and affixed between the top insole pad and the bottom insole pad, and a processor configured to collect measurement data from the plurality of force sensors and determine a pose of or abnormality in the limb based on the measurement data and a predetermined profile.
INSOLE WITH EMBEDDED SENSING SYSTEM
An insole with embedded sensing system includes a pressure sensing layer arranged on the insole, an infrared sensing layer arranged inside the insole, and a sensing module installed inside an arch pad integrated with the insole. The sensing module is electrically coupled with the pressure sensing layer and the infrared sensing layer for receiving and processing detected electronic signals.
PERSONAL MONITORING SYSTEM USING E-FIELD COMMUNICATIONS VIA A BODY
A personal monitoring system includes one or more passive biometric sensors and a communication device. A passive biometric sensor is operable to sense a body condition of a body in accordance with a sense signal at a sense frequency to produce sensed data of a body condition. The passive biometric sensor is further operable to transmit an e-field signal via the body regarding the sensed data, wherein the e-field signal is in accordance with an e-field transmit/receive frequency. The communication device is operable to receive the e-field signal via the body. The communication device is further operable to recover the sensed data from the received e-field signal.
Method for determining a user-specific hair treatment
The present disclosure relates to a method for determining a user-specific hair treatment with determination and inclusion of the degree of damage of the hair. To this end, the content of cysteic acid is firstly determined with the aid of near-infrared and/or infrared spectra of the keratin fibres of an individual and a degree of damage is derived via a calibration model. Individual treatment advice is output on the basis of the determined degree of damage.
Gait training device
A gait training device includes at least one surface electrode attached adjacent an identified muscle group of a user. The surface electrode measures muscle activity as electromyogram levels (EMG). First and second footswitch units have at least one footswitch disposed at an identified location adjacent the user's feet. First and second telemetry units are provided that attach to the legs of the user and are connected to the surface electrodes and the footswitch units. A computer has a connected telemetry data receiving device, audio and video output capabilities, data storage, computational capabilities and input devices. A computer program uses data from both footswitches and the at least one surface electrode to develop feedback information for the user that includes real-time data relating to muscle activity (EMG) that is correctly-timed, but excessive in amplitude, muscle activity that is correctly-timed, but with insufficient force and muscle activity that is out-of-phase or equinas.

First and second color sensors are provided to sense first and second color encoded surfaces at first and second locations of a joint or limb, respectively. A walking training system according to the present embodiment includes: a treadmill; a load distribution sensor; an imaging device that takes an image of a trainee; a specifying unit that specifies, from the image taken by the imaging device, whether a load detected by a load distribution sensor is a load received from a sole of a right leg of the trainee or a load received from a sole of a left leg of the trainee; and a determination unit that determines, based on a status of a load received from a sole of one leg, out of the right leg and the left leg of the trainee during walking training, in a standing state that is detected by the load distribution sensor, whether the sole of the one leg in the standing state is located within a load detection area of the load distribution sensor.

A method for determining an ROI in medical imaging may include receiving first position information related to a body contour of a subject with respect to a support from a flexible device configured with a plurality of position sensors. The flexible device may be configured to conform to the body contour of the subject, and the support may be configured to support the subject. The method may also include generating a 3D model of the subject based on the first position information. The method may further include determining an ROI of the subject based on the 3D model of the subject.

A biological information displaying apparatus according to an embodiment includes a picture obtaining apparatus and a processor. The picture obtaining apparatus obtains a picture signal of a predetermined site of a subject as a moving image. The processor generates a hue moving image by extracting a luminance or an image-based photoplethysmogram (iPPG) related to a pulse wave for each pixel of the moving image and assigning a hue in accordance with a value of luminance information or iPPG information. The processor displays the generated hue moving image such that the hue moving image is superimposed on an image of the subject.
