Assemblies, systems, and methods for a neuromonitoring drill bit
Assemblies, systems, and methods are directed at a neuromonitoring bone drill bit. The assembly may include a surgical bone drill bit, a neuromonitoring connection in electrical communication with the drill bit, and a shield extending over a distal end of the drill bit. The shield may be configured to withdraw proximally as the drill bit is advanced into a subject's bone. The assembly may be connected to a surgical drill and used in a surgical spinal procedure. In operation, the assembly may be advanced to a subject's bone at a surgical site and the drill bit may rotate into the subject's bone. In response, the shield may engage the bone and the drill bit may be advanced with respect to the shield. The shield may electrically insulate tissue from electrical current passing through the drill bit as it is inserted at the surgical site.
Method and system to assess disease using phase space volumetric objects
The exemplified methods and systems provide a phase space volumetric object in which the dynamics of a complex, quasi-periodic system, such as the electrical conduction patterns of the heart, or other biophysical-acquired signals of other organs, are represented as an image of a three dimensional volume having both a volumetric structure (e.g., a three dimensional structure) and a color map to which features can be extracted that are indicative the presence and/or absence of pathologies, e.g., ischemia relating to significant coronary arterial disease (CAD). In some embodiments, the phase space volumetric object can be assessed to extract topographic and geometric parameters that are used in models that determine indications of presence or non-presence of significant coronary artery disease.
Adaptive illumination apparatus, method, and applications
A system and method for adaptive illumination, the imaging system comprising an excitation source having a modulator, which generates a pulse intensity pattern having a first wavelength when the excitation source receives a modulation pattern. The modulation pattern is a data sequence of a structural image of a sample. An amplifier of the imaging system is configured to receive and amplify the pulse intensity pattern from the modulator. A frequency shift mechanism of the imaging system shifts the first wavelength of the pulse intensity pattern to a second wavelength. A laser scanning microscope of the imaging system receives the pulse intensity pattern having the second wavelength.
IMPLANTABLE LEAD MIGRATION MONITORING USING ECAP
Systems, devices, methods, and techniques are described for using evoked compound action potential (ECAP) signals to monitor lead position and/or detect lead migration. An example system includes sensing circuitry configured to sense an ECAP signal, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry controls the sensing circuitry to detect, after delivery of an electrical stimulation pulse, a current ECAP signal, and determines one or more characteristics of the current ECAP signal. The processing circuitry also compares the one or more characteristics of the current ECAP signal to corresponding one or more characteristics of a baseline ECAP signal, and determines, based on the comparison, a migration state of the electrodes delivering the electrical stimulation pulse. Additionally, the processing circuitry outputs, based on the migration state, an alert indicative of migration of the electrodes.
Wearable Systems with Fast-Gated Photodetector Architectures
A wearable system for use by a user includes a photodetector configured to detect a photon of a light pulse after the photon reflects from a target internal to the user. The photodetector includes a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) and a capacitor configured to be charged, while the SPAD is in a disarmed state, with a bias voltage by a voltage source, and supply, when the SPAD is put in an armed state, the bias voltage to an output node of the SPAD such that a voltage across the SPAD is greater than a breakdown voltage of the SPAD.
Device having health detecting function, display apparatus, system and health detecting method
A device having a health detecting function (10), a display apparatus (1), a system and a health detecting method are provided, capable of monitoring physical condition and discovering an illness in time. The device (10) having the health detecting function includes a processing module (101) and a storage module (102). The processing module (101) is configured for receiving image information of a detected person and storing the image information in the storage module (102). The image information of the detected person includes a part image of the detected person and an acquiring time and an ambient light intensity when acquiring the part image. change information of the part image of the detected person is obtained according to the part image of the detected person and a reference part image in reference part image information obtained from the storage module in a case where the ambient light intensity is greater than a predetermined value, and current physical health information of the detected person is obtained according to the change information of the part image. The storage module (102) is configured for storing the reference part image information, the reference part image information including reference a part image of the detected person accumulated before the acquiring time and/or a healthy reference part image based on age.
Spatially selective interventional neuroparticle with magnetoelectric material
An apparatus and method stimulate or sense neurons or groups of neurons in a subject, e.g., a human or animal brain, with positional dependence. This utility is provided in part by utilizing individually-addressable Radio-Frequency IDentification (RFID) coils so that locations of those coils in the brain would be monitored and known.
ANS ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS, KITS, AND METHODS
Systems, devices, methods, and kits for monitoring one or more physiologic and/or physical signals from a subject are disclosed. A system including a head mounted display to monitor one or more physiologic signals from the face or head of the subject is disclosed. A method for analyzing an ocular parameter of the subject to determine a sympathetic and a parasympathetic outflow thereto is disclosed.
Interface module for use with nerve monitoring and electrosurgery
Concepts presented herein relate to an interface module that can be electrically coupled to an electrical stimulation generator, a radio frequency generator and an instrument. A selection module is coupled to the interface module and operates in a first mode to deliver electrical stimulation signals from the electrical stimulation generator to the instrument and in a second mode to deliver radio frequency signals from the radio frequency generator to the instrument.
