Personalized avatar responsive to user physical state and context
Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate providing guidance to a user during performance of a program or routine using a personalized avatar. In an aspect, a system includes a reception component configured to receive biochemical information about a physiological state or condition of a user, including information identifying a presence or a status of one or more biomarkers. The system further includes an analysis component configured to determine or infer one or more characteristics of the physiological state or condition of the user based on the information identifying the presence or the status of the one or more biomarkers, and a visualization component configured to adapt an appearance of an avatar presented to the user based on the one or more characteristics to reflect the one or more characteristics.
Granzyme B Directed Imaging and Therapy
Provided herein are compounds useful for imaging granzyme B. An exemplary compound provided herein is useful as a radiotracer for position emission tomography (PET) and/or single photon emission tomography (SPECT) imaging. Methods of imaging granzyme B, combination therapies, and kits comprising the granzyme B imaging agents are also provided.
IMPLANTABLE POLYMER SURFACES EXHIBITING REDUCED IN VIVO INFLAMMATORY RESPONSES
Embodiments of the invention provide optimized polymeric surfaces adapted for use with implantable medical devices as well as methods for making and using such polymeric surfaces. These polymer surfaces have a constellation of features that function to inhibit or avoid an inflammatory immune response generated by implantable medical devices. Typical embodiments of the invention include an implantable glucose sensor used in the management of diabetes having a polymer surface with the disclosed constellation of features.
ENHANCED CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY BY MICRONEEDLE PATCH-ASSISTED DELIVERY
Disclosed herein are self-degradable microneedle devices for the controlled-release of an immunotherapeutic agent. Also disclosed are methods for treating a disease (for example, cancer) using a self-degradable microneedle patch for the sustained delivery of an immunotherapeutic agent (for example, a PD1 antibody).
Method and means for diagnosing autoimmune hepatitis using autoantibody markers
A method for determining or diagnosing the presence or absence, or the risk of development, or the therapy control of autoimmune hepatitis in a subject is provided. In a method, the presence or absence of antibodies against the huntingtin interacting protein 1 related protein (HIP1R) or against immunoreactive peptides derived therefrom are analyzed, the presence of said antibodies is indicative for the presence, or the risk of development or for therapy control of autoimmune hepatitis of the subject. The use of the HIP1R or an immunoreactive peptide derived therefrom in the diagnosis, the risk assessment or therapy control of hepatitis diseases by determining the presence of antibodies against said HIP1R or immunoreactive peptide derived therefrom, may be helpful for differential diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis.
Method and system for improving a physiological response
A system and method for determining the immune status or immune cycle in a subject is provided. A sampling component for obtaining physiological data from the subject is provided together with a data storage component for storing the physiological data obtained from the subject. A processing component is provided to analyse the physiological data and thereby determine the immune status or periodicity of the immune cycle and the immune cycle of the subject. An output component for outputting the immune status or periodicity of the immune cycle, and the immune cycle of the subject and/or the future status or immune cycle of the subject is provided.
Disease Detection Device and Method for Detection of Abnormal Immunological Activity
A disease detection device and method for detection or diagnosis of abnormal immunological activity is disclosed. The device is configured to detect the surface temperature of one or more hominid fingernails, thumbnails, or toenails by non-contact means and compare the temperature(s) detected to at least one second non-contact temperature measurement from the same subject, or to the nominal internal body temperature of the subject. The temperatures could be detected by non-contact electronic sensors, thermo-sensitive linear array sensors, or two-dimensional thermographic imagers. The device further comprises a computing device which executes instructions to compare the nail temperature(s) to the other temperature(s). The magnitude and polarity of the temperature difference of the nail(s) to the other temperature measurement(s) or the nominal internal body temperature of the subject indicates the presence of various pathological states, especially autoimmune, acute immune, drug-induced pathology, and various neurological, circulatory, traumatic, arthritic, and local infectious disorders of the hand.
