Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate providing guidance to a user during performance of a program or routine using a personalized avatar. In an aspect, a system includes a reception component configured to receive biochemical information about a physiological state or condition of a user, including information identifying a presence or a status of one or more biomarkers. The system further includes an analysis component configured to determine or infer one or more characteristics of the physiological state or condition of the user based on the information identifying the presence or the status of the one or more biomarkers, and a visualization component configured to adapt an appearance of an avatar presented to the user based on the one or more characteristics to reflect the one or more characteristics.

The system formatting the input data to generate one or more sets of user characteristic data values and determining initial levels of user musculoskeletal health for the user based upon the sets of user characteristic data values. The system selects a set of treatment plans for the user based on the initial levels of user musculoskeletal health. The system presents the set of treatment plans to the user using media that allows the user to interactively perform exercises prescribed in the treatment plan.

Signals are acquired from each of the plurality of light detectors. The rise time of the acquired signals that occurs in response to an inflation of a pressure cuff is determined, and an indication of whether the joint is affected by SLE is made based on the determined rise time. In some embodiments, a plateau time of the acquired signals is also acquired, and the indication of whether the joint is affected by SLE is made based on the determined rise time and the determined plateau time.

A method of detecting diseases, viruses, and other biological infections is disclosed. The method comprises a gas analyzer detecting the chemical release emitted from a living body. The gas analyzer is an optical sensor and is located near the target. The gas analyzer then processes the readings using internal software to give an instant value of the concentration of the target gas. The gas analyzer would then output a signal indicating the presence of the gas. The gas analyzer can also incorporate a video camera for aiming purposes and recording images.
