Disclosed is a system and method for facilitating decision making on a watercraft (100). The system comprises one or more processors (102) configured to: acquire environmental data comprising measurements of one or more parameters of an environment in a locality of the watercraft (100); provide a plurality of digital models, each digital model modelling an effect of the environment on a respective capability of the watercraft (100), each capability of the watercraft (100) being assigned to one or more actions, each action being performable by the watercraft (100) or an entity on the watercraft (100); using the environmental data and the digital models, model an effect of the environment on the capabilities of the watercraft (100); receive a selection of an action; and, using outputs of each digital model that models a capability that is assigned to the selected action, determine a risk assessment for the selected action.

A pleasure boat with a system for launching/hauling a water craft is provided. The system includes a platform movable from a first position, in which it is substantially flush with the floor of the parking area of the boat, to a second position, in which it is below the water surface. The system also includes a cradle for the water craft, a guiding system for the cradle which comprises first guides extending in the parking area and second guides extending on the platform, and a handling system. The handling system includes a first handling assembly, arranged in the parking area to move the cradle along the first guides, and a second handling assembly, arranged in the platform to move the cradle along the second guides. The system allows the water craft to be automatically transferred from the parking area to the platform, and vice versa, with no manual intervention.

Various techniques are disclosed for the detection of discrepancies between imaged maritime vessels and received identification information. In one example, a method includes capturing an image of a maritime vessel and processing the image to extract information associated with the vessel. The method also includes receiving automatic identification system (AIS) data, comparing the extracted information to the AIS data, and generating an alarm in response to a discrepancy detected by the comparing. Various techniques are disclosed for the detection of discrepancies between imaged maritime vessels and received identification information. In one example, a method includes capturing an image of a maritime vessel and processing the image to extract information associated with the vessel. The method also includes receiving automatic identification system (AIS) data, comparing the extracted information to the AIS data, and generating an alarm in response to a discrepancy detected by the comparing.
