Apparatus for handling boats from a midships hangar or mission bay of a mother vessel
An apparatus for launching, stowing and retrieving of daughter boats (1) from a midships hangar or mission bay on a mother vessel comprises at least one davit assembly positioned atop a stationary cradle (2), located one each near the starboard and port of the mother vessel. The daughter boats (1) are secured on specially designed stationary cradlesalong a plurality of longitudinal tracks (5) and also on at least the two stationary cradles (2) one each near the starboard and port of the mother vessel which are also specially designed and lie along at least one transverse track (6).
Method and device for locking rope winch
A method for locking the rope winch which is characterized by the fact that the locking bolt is inserted when the rope drum of the rope winch is stopped, first, through one of two holes in the first lug, then through one of the arched cuttings on the wheel of the rope drum of the rope winch, and finally through one of two holes in the second lug, Then the locking bolt is secured in position with a nut.
System for launch and recovery of remotely operated vehicles
The present embodiments relate to launch and recovery systems for a remotely operated vehicle. The embodiments eliminate or minimize the need for load lines, and provide virtually unlimited excursion distances for remotely operated vehicles, limited only by the amount of tether available at the launch point. Further, the embodiments allow for extended deployments of ROVs by allowing recharging of a tether climbing component while submerged. The system can include a launch and recovery assembly, a tether climbing component, and a remotely operated vehicle attached to a remotely operated vehicle tether. The launch and recovery assembly deploys the remotely operated vehicle and the tether climbing component overboard, and the remotely operated vehicle is configured for tethered operation while maintaining the tether climbing component at a desired depth.
PLEASURE BOAT PROVIDED WITH A SYSTEM FOR LAUNCHING/HAULING A WATER CRAFT
A pleasure boat with a system for launching/hauling a water craft is provided. The system includes a platform movable from a first position, in which it is substantially flush with the floor of the parking area of the boat, to a second position, in which it is below the water surface. The system also includes a cradle for the water craft, a guiding system for the cradle which comprises first guides extending in the parking area and second guides extending on the platform, and a handling system. The handling system includes a first handling assembly, arranged in the parking area to move the cradle along the first guides, and a second handling assembly, arranged in the platform to move the cradle along the second guides. The system allows the water craft to be automatically transferred from the parking area to the platform, and vice versa, with no manual intervention.
