The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

The present invention relates to a method of assembling a folding container. A base comprising a floor is provided, and at least two side panels are attached to the base. A rear panel is pivotally attached to the base, wherein the rear panel is operable to pivot between a folded position that contacts the floor and a vertically deployed position. A hinge block is attached to the base. A front panel comprising a front door is pivotally attached to the hinge block, wherein the front panel is operable to pivot between a folded position that contacts the front panel and a vertically deployed position.

A composite pod body that is compatible with the internal carriage mounting of an aerial vehicle for stowage of equipment or other items during long term aerial travel or deployment. The pod system may have large access doors with quick release latches and removable end caps for ergonomic access and versatility of stowage. The pod design may maximize the usable volume of the internal carriage. Further, standard NATO lug spacing may be utilized to ensure military compatibility. The pod may also have anti-roll or stabilization feet integrated with the body to ensure safety. The composite body may be lightweight when compared to legacy generation pods.

The first exterior layer first side can face the interior of the AIM when the wall panel is mounted at the interior surface, and the first exterior layer second side can face the interior surface when the wall panel is mounted at the interior surface. The container includes door frame posts and sidewalls that are each segmented into long and short portions that enable the door frames and sidewalls to articulate. When collapsed, the long portions of the door frame posts lie folded at right angles to the short portions of the door frame posts and the long portions of the sidewalls lie folded at right angles to the short portions of the sidewalls.
