Method of unloading dry bulk materials from a dry bulk tank
A dry bulk tank and a method of carrying a load and discharging a load therefrom. The dry bulk tank includes a tank assembly having a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for carrying a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
Feeding arrangement
A feeding arrangement comprising a transportation means (3) for transportation of material from a material supply to at least a first chute (7) and a second chute (8), a plug screw feeder (11) for feeding the material to the treatment stage. The plug screw feeder (11) is provided with a first inlet opening (12) connected to the first chute (7), which first chute (7) is provided between the transportation means (3) and the plug screw feeder (11). Further, the transportation means (3) comprises at least selectively openable first and second outlets (4, 5) arranged at different axial positions along the transportation means (2), which first outlet (4) is in connection with the first chute (7) and the second outlet (5) is in connection with the second chute (8).
Flexible hopper for a conveyor system
Some examples described herein include a flexible hopper for a conveyor system. The flexible hopper may include a hopper weldment attached to a frame of the conveyor, wherein the hopper weldment surrounds a charge end of the conveyor, a flexible frame configured to enable an opening of the flexible hopper to expand or contract, and/or a skirt attached to the flexible frame and configured to form an enclosure between the flexible frame and the hopper weldment.
Drive station arrangements
The present invention generally relates to a rail transport system having no internal drive, and in particular to an improved rail transport system for conveying bulk materials. The rail transport system includes horizontal and vertical drive stations that include a drive tire that rotates on a plane parallel to the track. In this arrangement, force is applied on a different plane than earlier systems, and the reaction force is separated out of the tensioning device. The improvements of the drive stations provide for a reduction of steel used in the system, improved manufacturability and, therefore, reduction in system component costs as compared to previous drive stations. Moreover, the drive stations allow for improved maintainability and access to the drive tires.
CONVEYOR LIFTING DEVICE
A device for separating a conveying member from a support structure includes an elongated member for engaging a portion of the conveying member, and a lever. The elongated member includes a first end and a second end. The lever is coupled to at least one end of the elongated member, and the lever includes a base end and a distal end. The lever is pivotable between a first position in which the elongated member is lowered and a second position in which the elongated member is elevated.
Minimizing relative movement between component parts of a tank trailer during loading and unloading
The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
Module for a Conveyor System for Bulk Goods, and also Conveyor System for Bulk Goods
The module (19) for a conveyor system for bulk goods has at least one first tubular section (20). A second tubular section (23), which is provided with at least one coupling piece (21), branches away from said first tubular section. The second tubular section (23) adjoins a valve (13) which has three connections (25, 26). The first connection forms a flow-connection with the second tubular section (23). The second connection (26) of the valve (13) can be selectively connected to the first connection (25) by means of a first line and to the third connection (25) by means of a second line (48).
Sensing an article in a conveyor
Certain examples of conveyors are described. The conveyors comprise a belt for conveying an article, wherein the belt has a plurality of holes. The conveyors further comprise sensors and the sensors and the plurality of holes are arranged such that the article is detectable when both the sensors sense a material simultaneously. Dryers, print substrate pre-treatment apparatus and printing systems are also described.
Pocket-Type Conveyor Belt Installation
The present invention relates to a pocket-type conveyor belt installation (2) having a plurality of carrying rollers (21) which are designed to support a pocket-type conveyor belt (1), preferably a lower conveyor belt edge (12) of a pocket-type conveyor belt (1), wherein the carrying rollers (21) are each connected in load-bearing fashion by means of at least one carrying roller holder (22) to a carrying frame (23) of the pocket-type conveyor belt installation (2). The pocket-type conveyor belt installation (2) is characterized in that at least one carrying roller holder (22), preferably a plurality of carrying roller holders (22), has at least one sensor element (4), which is arranged and designed to record at least a force and/or a change in force between the carrying roller (21) and the carrying frame (23).
CONVEYOR AND CONVEYANCE METHOD
Provided is a conveyor such that, after stopping or restricting supply of granular material to a downstream device, it is possible to restart normal operation of conveying the granular material without delay. This conveyor includes: a casing having a conveying path of a granular material therein and having a discharge port for discharging the granular material to a downstream device; a plurality of conveying units accommodated in the casing and configured to convey the granular material to the discharge port by circulating along the conveying path; an opening/closing mechanism that opens and closes the discharge port; and a control unit that controls operation of the plurality of conveying units and the opening/closing mechanism. When restricting supply of the granular material to the downstream device, the control unit controls the opening/closing mechanism to close the discharge port, and continues to circulate the plurality of conveying units, thereby continuing to move the granular material along the conveying path.
