DENTAL RESTORATION PRODUCTION DEVICE AND ADD-ON OR ATTACHMENT
The invention relates to a dental restoration production device, comprising a curable dental restoration material (20) and a radiation-curing device by means of which the curable dental restoration material (20) can be cured using light radiation, UV radiation and/or heat radiation in order to produce a dental restoration part (22), and comprising an add-on (24) or attachment to the radiation-curing device, which faces said dental restoration material (20) or can be directed thereto, wherein said attachment or add-on (24) has a molding surface that corresponds to the target shape of the surface (52) of the dental restoration material (20) and forms a negative mold (54) therefor on the region facing the radiation-curing device.
Dental appliance with simulated teeth and method for making
The present invention relates to orthodontic positioning appliances that represent teeth in desired positions and related systems and methods. An appliance can include teeth receiving cavities shaped to receive and apply a resilient positioning force to a patient's teeth. An appliance can include an outer component having a surface representing teeth in desired positions. An outer component can be integral with an appliance. An outer component can be separate and configured to couple with an appliance main body.
Denture bite rim system with replica teeth
A bite rim system includes a plurality of dental bite rims having a shape and size that is suitable for use in a human mouth. A plurality of anatomically correct replica teeth is constructed from wax, and also includes various tooth characteristics of different shapes, thicknesses, sizes and colors. A series of replica teeth are removably pre-mounted onto one or more of the bite rims in an anatomically correct pattern. The system also includes one or more replica teeth strips having a front facing surface with the image of one or more teeth imprinted thereon, and a back facing surface that is coated with an adhesive material for mating with one of the dental bite rims.
Dental Restoration Molds
A custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient includes a first mold body providing for a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient. The first mold body includes a portion corresponding with at least a first surface of the tooth and an interproximal portion corresponding with an interproximal surface of the tooth, the interproximal portion being of unitary construction. The first mold body is configured to combine with the tooth of the patient to form a mold cavity encompassing a first portion of missing tooth structure of the tooth.
Dental prosthesis for determining abrasion facets
The invention relates to a temporary dental prosthesis for determining abrasion facets, having at least one prosthetic tooth, in which at least the occlusion surface of the prosthetic tooth or at least one of the prosthetic teeth is made of a material that is abradable such that, within a maximum of 12 weeks of use as a dental prosthesis by a patient, abrasion facets are produced on the prosthetic teeth and are suitable for ascertaining the chewing movements of the jaw of the patient. The invention also relates to a method for determining the chewing movement of a set of teeth from measured abrasion facets, in which a temporary dental prosthesis made of an abradable material is inserted in a patient, and to a method for producing a final dental prosthesis.
Provisional Dental Restoration
The present disclosure reveals a provisional dental restoration for use at the time of dental implant surgery and while the permanent long-term restoration is being fabricated and implants are healing, which aids in the surgical process and selection of potential abutments at the time of surgery. Also revealed is a new digitally designed impression prosthesis from which the doctor is able of capturing the occlusal record, an impression of the soft tissue and critical aspects of the tooth position and orientation in a single procedure.
MOLDS FOR CUSTOM DENTAL IMPLANT ABUTMENTS AND IMPRESSION POSTS
Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated. Custom abutments and impression posts have properties and design that allows their preparation and usage as temporary abutments for the cementation and support of temporary prostheses.
METHOD OF MAKING A DENTURE
A denture is manufactured in a single visit using a pre-formed dental template chosen from a plurality of different sized dental templates, based on the size of a patient's alveolar edentulous ridge. The dental template includes a base acrylic with prosthetic teeth attached thereto. A viscous material such as an acrylic is added to the selected dental template and the dental template with the added viscous material is placed on the patient's alveolar edentulous ridge. The viscous material is then allowed to solidify to form a rigid or semi-rigid material with the template in proper position in three planes and properly border molded. After solidification a denture is formed that consists of a first base acrylic portion in conterminous relation with a second portion formed of the solidified material that had been added as a viscous material, and with teeth joined to the base acrylic portion.
DENTAL RESTORATIVE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A dental restorative device is shown as comprising a first cured or hardened layer in the form of an occlusal surface of the tooth being restored and a second uncured dental composite layer joined to the first layer enabling a dental professional to perform direct dental restoration procedures with results replicating indirect direct dental restoration procedures. A system comprising the multi-layered dental restorative device and packaging provides for sufficient support and protection of the uncured second layer and facilitates positioning and finishing of the dental restorative device by cooling the uncured portions to a rigid state while in the packaging, positioning the dental restorative device, and modifying the second layer to fit, curing the second layer and permanently placing the fully cured and hardened dental crown on the tooth being restored.
