SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PICKING ITEMS
A system and method for picking items from storage containers located in stacks within a grid-based storage system are described. The system can include a movable structural member, movable from a first position to a second position such that when in the second position it is possible for an operative to access at least one row of storage containers such that items can be manually picked therefrom.
ARTICLE PLACEMENT OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM AND ARTICLE PLACEMENT OPTIMIZATION METHOD
A system calculates for each frontage space which is held by a plurality of shelves and in which commodities are placed, a recommended capacity value of the commodity based on a predicted shipment volume from demand prediction of the commodity placed in the frontage space. The system determines exchange pairs (frontage space pairs) in each of which exchange of the commodities are performed based on a current capacity value and the recommended capacity value of each frontage space. Each exchange pair satisfies the following: The current capacity of a first frontage space is smaller than the recommended capacity, or the current capacity of a second frontage space is larger than the recommended capacity. The recommended capacity of the second frontage space satisfies the current capacity of the first frontage space. The recommended capacity of the first frontage space satisfies the current capacity of the second frontage space.
Method and system for commissioning products
A method for collecting products listed in an order in a product collecting system having a plurality of modules, the method including: assigning the order to a module, allocating a product listed in the order to the order if the product is already available in the module, allocating a product to the order from another module if the product of the slow-moving type is not already available in the module whereas it is available in the other module, allocating a product to the order from a pallet warehouse if the product of the slow-moving type is not already available in the module nor in another module, and releasing the order and loading the products onto a collecting carrier when all the products listed in the order have been collected in the module.
REPLENISHMENT AND ORDER FULFILLMENT SYSTEM
A warehousing system for storing and retrieving goods disposed in containers is provided. The system includes a multilevel storage array including an array of storage shelves for holding containers thereon, at least one substantially continuous lift for transporting containers to and from at least one level of the storage array, at least one transport vehicle located on the at least one level and configured to traverse a transport area transporting containers between the at least one continuous lift and container storage locations so that the at least one continuous lift communicates non-deterministically, via the transport vehicle, with storage locations of each of the storage shelves on the at least one level, an infeed transport system linked to the at least one continuous lift, and an order fulfillment station for generating order containers corresponding to customer orders where the order containers are entered onto the storage shelves of the storage array.

Picking device in the form of a rotary table
The invention relates to a picking device for arranging between at least one automatic placement point and at least one picking workstation, comprising at least one container holder movable along a travel path from the picking workstation to the placement point, and comprising a rotation unit for moving the at least one container holder along the travel path. The invention further relates to a storage system, which enables a fast picking of goods and simultaneously increases safety and ergonomics for an operator, the picking device has a tilt device for the at least one container holder by means of which the at least one container holder can be tilted toward the at least one picking workstation during a movement along the travel path.
FLEXIBLE AND COMPACT ORDER PICKING SYSTEM
A method and installation for picking items from storage units into one or more outbound units. The installation has a small parts store in which the storage units are stored, and a pick area, in which storage units from the parts store are presented at several pickup points. Assigned to the pick area is a conveyor track via which the outbound units can be moved in or out of the pick area, such that items can be picked from the storage units disposed in the pickup points and into the outbound units. The installation has a pick location, at which one or more receiving locations for outbound units and a conveyor device for storage units from the parts store are disposed such that items can be picked from the storage units delivered on the conveyor device and into the outbound units disposed at the receiving locations.

A PICKING SYSTEM HAVING A TRANSPORT ROBOT FOR MOVING UNDERNEATH INDIVIDUALSHELVES AND TRANSPORTING VEHICLE
An order-picking system for order-picking articles stored in a storage rack into conveying pockets includes a storage rack areas arranged in rack rows and/or rack levels for storing the articles, an overhead conveyor system for transporting conveying pockets, and an order-picking area in accordance with the ware-to-person principle, where a number of articles specified by a control computer can be order-picked into conveying pockets at the order-picking area. The storage rack is modular and in the form of independent individual racks. A transport robot is autonomous or controlled by the control computer and constructed to pass beneath an individual rack and/or a transport trolley and transport the individual rack and/or the transport trolley to the order-picking area an article stored in the individual rack and/or an article order-picked from the storage rack into the transport trolley in advance is to be order-picked into a conveyor pocket at the order-picking area.
