FAULT CLASSIFICATION IN ELEVATOR SYSTEMS
An elevator system (2, 102) includes a drive system (10) including one or more drive components (11, 13) and drive hardware (15) for controlling the supply of power to the one or more drive components (11,13), a safety chain (16) arranged to break and thus interrupt a supply of power to the one or more drive components (11, 13) unless all of one or more safety condition(s) is satisfied; and a control device (12). The control device (12) is arranged to receive drive information from the drive hardware (15) indicative of a drive system fault; to receive safety chain information from the safety chain (16) indicative of a safety chain break; and to detect and classify a fault in the elevator system (2, 102) using the drive information and the safety chain information.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR VISUALIZING REPLACEMENT PARTS
A method for visualizing replacement parts, e.g. for a passenger transport system, including the steps: displaying a list of possible replacement parts on a screen of a mobile device and prompting for selection of a specific replacement part; downloading 3D data of the selected replacement part from an external server via a network, the 3D data containing spatial information regarding visually discernable properties of the selected replacement part; displaying a perspective view of the selected replacement part with the visually discernable properties on the screen from an initial viewing angle; determining a change in an orientation of the mobile device in an altered orientation; and displaying a perspective view of the selected replacement part with the visually discernable properties from an altered viewing angle corresponding to the altered orientation thereby assisting a maintenance engineer to easily and intuitively inspect and reliably choose a replacement part for a defective component.
MAINTENANCE METHOD FOR A LIFT SYSTEM, WHICH VERIFIES MAINTENANCE STEPS
A method for maintaining an elevator installation includes performing at least one maintenance step that includes interacting with an elevator control of the elevator installation. The method further comprises confirming by the elevator control a performance of the maintenance step based on the at least one interaction. An elevator control for an elevator installation includes at least one maintenance step and an interaction signature associated with the maintenance step stored therein. An elevator installation includes an elevator control having at least one maintenance step and an interaction signature associated with the maintenance step stored therein.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADDRESSING ELEVATOR DRIVE FAULTS
Disclosed is a monitoring system for a people mover system, having: a controller for controlling an electronic component of the people mover system, wherein the controller is configured to: determine a first operational status of the component, while the component is operating with first operational parameters; and transmit first controller data to a BOT service, directly or via a mobile device, wherein the first controller data is indicative of the first operational status.
SELF-CHECKING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ELEVATOR BRAKING DEVICE AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A self-checking device and a self-checking method for an elevator brake device, as well as an elevator system. The self-checking device includes: a controller, which controls a voltage applied to an electromagnetic coil of the elevator brake device, and which is configured to: enable an elevator to enter a test mode; gradually increase the voltage applied to the electromagnetic coil of the brake device in a predetermined pattern when the brake device is in a braking state, or gradually decrease the voltage applied to the electromagnetic coil of the brake device in a predetermined pattern when the brake device is in a non-braking state; and a processor, which is configured to receive and record a first time t.sub.1 when a brake switch of the brake device is triggered, and determine whether the brake switch is in a proper position based on the first time t.sub.1.
Elevator device
An elevator device including on-car presence detection units, each being configured to detect presence of a person on top of a corresponding one of cars, on-car operation panels, each to be operated for a manual operation of the corresponding one of cars, and an elevator control device including a car operation approval unit configured to approve or cancel the operation on the on-car operation panels. When the on-car presence detection units have detected the presence of persons on top of the plurality of cars, the operation on the on-car operation panels of all the cars is canceled by the car operation approval unit. When the on-car presence detection unit has detected the presence of a person on top of one of the plurality of cars, the car operation approval unit approves the operation on the on-car operation panel of any one of the plurality of cars.
SAFETY SWITCH ACTUATION DEVICE
A safety switch actuation device for keeping the pushbutton switch activated and deactivated remotely, the actuation device comprising a plunger which can be brought by external probing from a standby position, in which it does not switch the pushbutton switch, to an active position, in which it keeps said pushbutton switch actuated, characterized in that the actuation device has a remotely controllable linear drive, a return spring and a return actuator and is designed in such a way that the plunger can be coupled to the return actuator by the remotely controllable linear drive, which is preferably driven by a Bowden cable, under tension of the return spring, which, after deactivation of the linear drive, is pressed by the return spring into a position more remote from the pushbutton switch, thereby entraining the plunger into its standby position.
Elevator safety gear actuation device
An actuation mechanism for an elevator safety gear comprises an engagement element, at least two permanent magnets and at least one electric coil. The engagement element is movable between an engaged position in which it engages with the guide member of the elevator system and a disengaged position in which it does not engage with the guide member of the elevator system. The at least two permanent magnets are arranged in a configuration generating a repulsive force (F.sub.R) between the at least two permanent magnets and urging the engagement element towards the engaged position. The at least one electric coil is configured for generating an electromagnetic force urging the engagement element towards the disengaged position and/or for holding the engagement element in the disengaged position, when an electric current is flowing through the at least one electric coil.
ELEVATOR PIT SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
An elevator pit safety system is provided, along with methods of use thereof. An elevator pit safety system may include a control system, an emergency stop switch, and a power switch. The emergency stop switch may be configured to stop an elevator cab. The power switch may be configured to operate a lighting system. The control system may prevent either from being used without the other. The elevator pit safety system may be configured to allow overriding the safety features.
SECURITY DEVICE FOR BUILDING-RELATED PASSENGER CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A security device for a building-related passenger transport system includes a microcontroller having a memory, a processor and a communication interface. A security module is stored in the memory and, when it is executed on the processor, receives security-relevant signals from components of the passenger conveyor system, evaluates the signals with regard to a security problem and transmits a warning signal to a controller of the passenger conveyor system in the event of a security problem. An update module is stored in the memory and, when it is executed on the processor, receives a software package via the communication interface and updates at least parts of the security module with the software package. The microcontroller is configured such that the security module is able to be amended only by the update module.
