DIE STACK ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A device includes a base substrate with a sensor component arranged thereon; a spacer layer on the base substrate, wherein the spacer layer is structured in order to predefine a cavity region, in which the sensor component is arranged in an exposed fashion on the base substrate, and a DAF tape element (DAF=Die-Attach-Film) on a stack element, wherein the DAF tape element mechanically fixedly connects the stack element to the spacer layer arranged on the base substrate and to obtain the cavity region.
Wireless sensor reader assembly
Disclosed are a reader device, system, and method for communicating with a wireless sensor. The reader device may be configured to analyze the strength of a response signal transmitted from the wireless sensor in response to an excitation pulse generated by the reader device. In one embodiment, the reader device may be configured to engage be placed in a plurality of modes to allow the reader to transmit a signal, such as a short pulse of energy or a short burst of radio frequency energy to cause the wireless sensor to output a resonant signal. The reader device may receive the resonant signal from the wireless sensor and evaluate it against predetermined values. The evaluated signals may be used to assess the strength and the proximity of the reader device relative to the wireless sensor as it is implanted in a patient.
ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER
A method for producing a plurality of piezoelectric ultrasound transducer elements, the method comprising providing or depositing a piezoelectric material on at least part of a surface of a sheet of substrate to form a layered member; and forming the one or more piezoelectric ultrasound transducer elements from the layered member.
Environmental sensor
An environmental sensor including sensor elements to measure multiple physical quantities associated with a surrounding environment, and includes a state determination unit that determines whether the environmental sensor is in a first state in which the sensor is fixed at a predetermined installation location or in a second state in which the sensor is away from an installation location, and an operation switch unit that switches an operation of each sensor element that measures the physical quantities based on whether a state determined by the determination unit is the first state or the second state.
MEMS type semiconductor gas detection element
The MEMS type semiconductor gas detection element of the invention is a MEMS type semiconductor gas detection element 1 having a MEMS structure, for detecting hydrogen gas, comprising: a substrate 2; a gas sensitive portion 3 mainly made of a metal oxide semiconductor and provided to the substrate 2; a heating portion 4 for heating the gas sensitive portion 3; an inactive film 5 having hydrogen-permselective and formed outside the gas sensitive portion 3; a protective film 6 formed outside the inactive film 5, for suppressing deterioration of the gas sensitive portion 3.
THRESHOLD-VALUE DETECTION DEVICE
A device has a latching mechanism including a catch element having at least two catches, and a pawl configured to engage in a catch interstice between two catches. The catch element is movable in relation to the pawl in a freewheeling direction, and a movement of the catch element in relation to the pawl in a blocking direction may be blocked by means of the pawl. The device further includes a deflectable actuator configured to move the catch element and the pawl relative to each other on a catch-by-catch basis in the freewheeling direction by means of deflection. According to the invention, the device also includes an electric component configured to change its electric property as a function of the catch-wise movement of the catch element in relation to the pawl.
Micro-electro-mechanical device with ion exchange polymer
A micro-electro-mechanical device includes an ion exchange polymer coated onto a surface or within pores of a micro-electro-mechanical portion. The micro-electro-mechanical device may be an electrode, a sensor or a cantilever. The ion exchange polymer may comprise an additive, such as an inorganic particle or powder or a metal-organic framework compound. Gases may react with the ionomer and create voltage and/or current which can be measured. The incorporation of ion exchange polymer with a MEM to produce electrode can provide interesting chemical, mechanical and electrical properties, which may have promise in sensor application and some other applications. The ion exchange polymer may be either cation exchange polymer or anion exchange polymer. The ion exchange polymer can be chemically cross-linked, or reinforced by support material or additive.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY AND ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A sensor assembly for being mounted on a circuit board comprises an interposer with at least one opening extending between a first and a second main surface of the interposer. The interposer comprises at least two stress decoupling elements, each comprising a flexible structure formed by a respective portion of the interposer being partially enclosed by one of the at least one opening. A sensor die is connected to the flexible structures on the first main surface. At least two board connection elements are arranged on the first main surface and adapted for connecting the assembly to the circuit board.
MEMS BUMP STOPPER SURFACE FEATURES
A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) sensor assembly comprises a substrate, a bump stopper extending from the substrate, and a sensor suspended relative to the substrate. The sensor is configured to move relative to the substrate, wherein the bump stopper is configured to restrain the sensor travel distance and prevent contact between the sensor and the substrate. The bump stopper has a surface facing the sensor, wherein an area of contact between the sensor and the surface is less than the total area of the surface.
SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
In one example, an electronic device includes a semiconductor sensor device having a cavity extending partially inward from one surface to provide a diaphragm adjacent an opposite surface. A barrier is disposed adjacent to the one surface and extends across the cavity, the barrier has membrane with a barrier body and first barrier strands bounded by the barrier body to define first through-holes. The electronic device further comprises one or more of a protrusion pattern disposed adjacent to the barrier structure, which can include a plurality of protrusion portions separated by a plurality of recess portions; one or more conformal membrane layers disposed over the first barrier strands; or second barrier strands disposed on and at least partially overlapping the first barrier strands. The second barrier strands define second through-holes laterally offset from the first through-holes. Other examples and related methods are also disclosed herein.
