Sanitary Tri-clamp Cap with Integrated Telescoping Slide Hammer
20230303296 · 2023-09-28 · ·

A removable closure assembly has a cap making a liquid-tight seal with a tri-clamp assembly to the open end of a filter assembly body. The closure assembly has a filter which fits within the filter body. To aid in separating the closure assembly from the body, the cap has an outwardly extending shaft fixed thereto. The shaft is terminated by a radially protruding stop block. A handle is slidable on the shaft and functions as a slide hammer weight with an end wall facing the cap through which the shaft extends. The handle is movable to strike the shaft stop block and apply a force to the stop block and shaft for separating the cap from the body. The stop block has axial channels allowing a clean out of place system to exchange cleaning fluid with an interior volume of the handle.

Filter apparatus

A filter apparatus (10) has a plurality of filter elements (20) in a filter housing (12) having a filter inlet (50) for a fluid to be filtered and a filter outlet (52) for the filtered fluid. A pressure control device (42) has at least one control plate (58) located inside a connection chamber (14). The control plate laterally passes over individual upper element openings (54) of the filter element to be backwashed (20), in a predefinable sequence, covering the opening to an increasing degree and then exposing the opening again. A discharge opening (46) of the backwash device (44) is, at least in part, fluidically connected to a lower element opening (56) of the filter element (20) to be backwashed, as the pressure control device (42) moves towards the upper element opening (54).

FILTERING SYSTEM

Disclosed is a filtering system used in any pool filtrations, filtration of taps or building entrance hot and cold use water, filtration of city water before osmosis filtering devices, filtration of heating and cooling mechanical plant systems, and filtration of cooling water in hydro-electric power plants. The system provides for forming a vortex inside a filter by directing and increasing speed of filtered liquid and thus providing decreasing pressure on the filter surface and collection of filtered particulates in a particulate accumulation chamber. The system also provides for automatic cleaning of the filter by reverse flushing, without the need for dismantling, by differential pressure sensors based on rate of contamination.

In-Pipe Storm Water Filter

A filter for filtering storm water in an outfall pipe comprising: a line comprising an anchor attachment point at a proximal end of the line; and a plurality of individual treatment units (ITUs) securely connected in series to the line with a gap between adjacent ITUs, wherein each ITU has a size and shape capable of fitting inside the outfall pipe, and wherein each ITU comprises a mesh cage configured to filter contaminants out of the storm water.

IMPELLER FOR LAUNDRY APPLIANCE THAT INCORPORATES A FILTERING CAP FOR SEPARATING PARTICULATE MATTER FROM WASH FLUID WITHIN THE APPLIANCE

A washing appliance includes a drum that is rotationally operable within the tub about a vertical rotational axis. An impeller is positioned within a lower portion of the drum and is rotationally operable about the vertical rotational axis. The impeller includes a plurality of external vanes and a plurality of channel ribs that cooperate to promote a toroidal flow of wash fluid within the drum. A filtering cap is disposed on a top portion of the impeller and has a plurality of inlets that direct the toroidal flow of the wash fluid into a filtering chamber positioned within the filtering cap. The toroidal flow of the wash fluid continues through the filtering chamber and beneath an underside of the impeller, wherein the filtering chamber separates particulate matter from the toroidal flow of the wash fluid.

Disposable Insert For Strainer Basket

Debris filtration and strainer systems for a fluid handling device are provided herein. The strainer systems can include one or more of a strainer basket, a removable insert, and an adapter for removably engaging the removable insert with the strainer basket. The removable insert includes a liner having a plurality of openings that are the same size as, or smaller than, the openings of a the strainer basket, and which is inserted into the strainer basket to capture debris from water passing therethrough, preventing clogging of the strainer basket and reducing the frequency of cleanings of the strainer basket. The liner can be fabricated from a biodegradable material, and thus can be easily removed, disposed of, and replaced. The removable insert can include a rigid connection tab with one or more features for removably engaging the strainer basket and/or an adapter positioned between the strainer basket and the removable insert.
