Angled adsorbent filter media design in tangential flow applications
A media design for modular use in an air cleaning or HVAC systems to removes gas phase contaminants. The design allows for a control of gas contaminant removal using variable media length, path length, and contact time to ensure a contained MTZ length and low pressure drop. In one embodiment, the design includes a filter module at an angle to an airflow and an air filter mounted within the filter frame. The filter module may include channels therethrough that are oriented at the optimum angle in relation to the airflow to provide the required dwell time and pressure drop for a given application.

The invention belongs to the field of eliminating pollutant gases. In particular, the invention belongs to the field of pollutant gas-absorbing material such as CO2, SO2, NOx and VOCs.
The present invention relates to a fresh composite or composite paste and a composite material comprising aggregates of recycled concrete, porous carbon, a binder and optionally water, as well as to the method for manufacturing the composite and the use thereof for sanitizing air (indoor or outdoor). The invention also relates to an article (for example, an anti-noise wall, a tunnel lining, an indoor decoration, an item of street furniture, etc.) comprising the composite according to the invention.
AIR POLLUTION PREVENTION DEVICE FOR BABY CARRIAGE
An air pollution prevention device applied for a baby carriage includes a sealing cover, a filtration cleaner, a gas detection module and an intelligent control and process device. The sealing cover is hooded on the baby carriage for forming a sealed space. The filtration cleaner penetrates the sealing cover form the outside of the baby carriage for introducing an outside air into the sealed space of the baby carriage and discharging an air pollution source out of the sealed space. The gas detection module detects the air pollution source and outputs gas detection data. The intelligent control and process device receives and compares the gas detection data and controls an enablement of a gas guider of the filtration cleaner for filtering and exchanging the air pollution source in the sealed space so as to generate a clean air.
PROCESS AND PLANT FOR GAS MIXTURES CONTAINING ACID GAS TREATMENT
A process for treatment of gas mixtures containing acid gas, for the removal of said acid gas from the gas mixtures. The process has (A) an absorption step performed on a gas mixture containing acid gas by means of a solvent system containing at least one liquid absorption solvent for removing from the gas mixture the acid gas contained therein and forming a lean gas mixture, from which at least part of the acid gas have been removed, and an enriched solvent containing the acid gas and (B) a regeneration step, in which the enriched solvent is subjected to a gas/liquid separation step by a flash process to be separated from the absorbed acid gas and to produce an acid gas flow and a regenerated solvent, which is recirculated to the absorption step. The solvent system contains at least one liquid absorption solvent selected from switchable ionic liquids.
Methods and systems for removing contaminants from flue gas on a ship or offshore floating vessel using a rotating packed bed device
A method for scrubbing flue gas, comprising: providing a rotating packed bed device onboard a ship or an offshore floating vessel; mixing seawater with the flue gas under centrifugal force in the rotating packed bed device to prevent blow-by and produce a scrubbed flue gas having low sulfur; and discharging the scrubbed flue gas; wherein the scrubbed flue gas has less than half of the sulfur that was originally present in the flue gas before the mixing. Also, a system for scrubbing the flue gas according to the method described. Also, a marine ship, comprising: an engine that combusts HSFO; a rotating packed bed device, in a hull or funnel of the ship, comprising a rotating shaft and a porous material that mixes seawater with flue gas and reduces sulfur in the flue gas; and a connector from the engine and the rotating packed bed device.
