Angled adsorbent filter media design in tangential flow applications
A media design for modular use in an air cleaning or HVAC systems to removes gas phase contaminants. The design allows for a control of gas contaminant removal using variable media length, path length, and contact time to ensure a contained MTZ length and low pressure drop. In one embodiment, the design includes a filter module at an angle to an airflow and an air filter mounted within the filter frame. The filter module may include channels therethrough that are oriented at the optimum angle in relation to the airflow to provide the required dwell time and pressure drop for a given application.
Process for producing biomethane from a biogas stream, comprising solidification of the impurities
Process for producing biomethane from a biogas stream including methane, carbon dioxide and at least one impurity chosen from ammonia, volatile organic compounds, water, sulfur-based impurities (H.sub.2S) and siloxanes. A biogas stream is dried, the at least one impurity is at least partially removed by solidification and removal of the impurity. The methane and the carbon dioxide contained in the biogas obtained from the second step are separated so as to produce a biomethane stream and a CO.sub.2 stream.
CATALYST CAPABLE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY REMOVING COS AND H2S IN GARBAGE GASIFICATION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The disclosure discloses a catalyst capable of simultaneously removing COS and H.sub.2S in garbage gasification and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of preparation of desulfurization catalysts. The method includes the following steps: pretreating an SBA-15 molecular sieve with a templating agent unremoved, which primarily includes the steps of removing the templating agent and introducing halogen atoms to modify the molecular sieve; then synthesizing an active component solution; and finally introducing active components into channels of the pretreated molecular sieve via surface tension by adopting an impregnation method, performing washing and drying, and performing calcining under an N.sub.2 atmosphere, so as to obtain the catalyst. An H.sub.2S and COS removal experiment is performed on the catalyst prepared according to the present disclosure under a simulated garbage gasification atmosphere, and a desulfurization experiment is performed as a control, so as to evaluate the desulfurization efficiency. The catalyst prepared according to the present disclosure can load the active components in fixed positions inside and outside the channels, and the components are easy to obtain, thereby having the advantages of low cost and good desulfurization effects.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DESULFURIZATION AND SEPARATION OF CATALYTICALLY CRACKED LIGHT PRODUCT
A method for the desulfurization and separation of a catalytic cracking light product includes the steps of: 1) contacting a catalytic cracking light product with a desulfurization adsorbent in an adsorption desulfurization reaction unit in the presence of hydrogen for desulfurization, and optionally, carrying out gas-liquid separation on the resulting desulfurization product, to obtain a desulfurized rich gas and a desulfurized crude gasoline, wherein the catalytic cracking light product is an overhead oil-gas fraction from a catalytic cracking fractionator, or a rich gas and a crude gasoline from a catalytic cracking fractionator; and 2) separately sending the desulfurized rich gas and the desulfurized crude gasoline obtained in the step 1) to a catalytic cracking absorption stabilization system for separation, to obtain a desulfurized dry gas, a desulfurized liquefied gas and a desulfurized stabilized gasoline.
RESERVOIR MANAGEMENT BY CONTROLLING ACID GAS BUILD-UP IN RESERVOIR BY PARTIAL CO2 REMOVAL PROCESSES
Methods are provided for reducing the quantity of acid gas reinjected into a reservoir by partial CO.sub.2 removal processes. The methods include acid gas removal, acid gas enrichment, generation of a CO.sub.2 rich stream and an H.sub.2S rich stream, and reinjection of the H.sub.2S rich stream into the reservoir. The acid gas enrichment can be performed by a solvent-based acid gas enrichment unit, a membrane-based acid gas enrichment unit, or a combination of a solvent-based acid gas enrichment unit a and membrane-based acid gas enrichment unit. The system includes an acid gas removal unit, one or more acid gas enrichment units, and an acid gas reinjection compressor. The acid gas enrichment unit can be a solvent-based acid gas enrichment unit, a membrane-based acid gas enrichment unit, or a solvent-based acid gas enrichment unit and a membrane-based acid gas enrichment unit.
YOLK-SHELL NANOPARTICLES FOR THE REMOVAL OF H2S FROM GAS STREAMS
The present invention relates yolk-shell nanoparticles having both a high stability towards sintering and high H.sub.25 adsorption capacities, the use of the yolk-shell nanoparticles in a method for H.sub.2S removal from gas streams, and a corresponding method for H.sub.2S removal from gas streams also comprising the regeneration of the yolk-shell nanoparticles, wherein the yolk-shell nanoparticles provide for high H.sub.2 adsorption capacities and/or high reusability.
Carbon molecular sieve membranes containing a group 13 metal and method to make them
A carbon molecular sieve (CMS) membrane having improved separation characteristics for separating olefins from their corresponding paraffins is comprised of carbon with at most trace amounts of sulfur and a group 13 metal. The CMS membrane may be made by pyrolyzing a precursor polymer devoid of sulfur in which the precursor polymer has had a group 13 metal incorporated into it, wherein the metal is in a reduced state. The pyrolyzing for the precursor having the group 13 metal incorporated into it is performed in a nonoxidizing atmosphere and at a heating rate and temperature such that the metal in a reduced state (e.g., covalently bonded to carbon or nitrogen or in the metal state).
