The present disclosure relates to a filter material which can be used in reducing the content of contaminants in a raw gas or liquid and a device which comprises the filter material. The disclosure also relates to a method for reducing the content of contaminants in a raw gas or liquid which applies the filter material and/or device.
TREATMENT OF ACID GASES USING MOLTEN ALKALI METAL BORATES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF SEPARATION
The removal of acid gases (e.g., non-carbon dioxide acid gases) using sorbents that include salts in molten form, and related systems and methods, are generally described.
COS AND CS2 ABATEMENT METHOD
Disclosed is method for removing carbonyl sulphide and/or carbon disulphide from a sour gas stream. The method comprises subjecting the gas stream to simultaneous contact with an absorption liquid, such as an aqueous amine solution, and with a catalyst suitable for hydrolyzing carbonyl sulphide and/or carbon disulphide. To this end, the invention also provides a reactor system wherein both an absorption liquid and a catalyst are present. In a preferred embodiment, the catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst present on or in an absorption column, either coated on the trays of a column with trays, or contained in the packing of a packed column.
Regenerable solvent mixtures for acid-gas separation
A solvent system for the removal of acid gases from mixed gas streams is provided. Also provided is a process for removing acid gases from mixed gas streams using the disclosed solvent systems. The solvent systems may be utilized within a gas processing system.
IMPROVED CONTAMINANT REMOVAL PROCESS
Disclosed is a process comprising: step a) contacting a feed stream comprising a contaminant with an absorbent stream in a counter-current flow to produce a contaminant depleted product stream depleted in the molar quantity of the contaminant relative to the molar quantity of said contaminant in the feed stream, and a contaminant enriched absorbent stream enriched in the molar quantity of the contaminant relative to the molar quantity of said contaminant in the absorbent stream; and step b) treating the contaminant enriched absorbent stream to form a gaseous stream comprising said contaminant and a regenerated absorbent stream lean in the molar quantity of said contaminant relative to the molar quantity of said contaminant in the contaminant enriched absorbent stream; herein said absorbent stream comprises at least 15 wt. % of at least one compound (A) of general formula (I) or a mixture (M) comprising at least one compound (B) of general formula (II) and at least one compound (C) of general formula (III).
Process for selective removal of acid gases from fluid streams using a hybrid solvent mixture
Disclosed is a process for regenerating a hybrid solvent used to remove contaminants from a fluid stream and to provide an improved yield of purified fluid. Said process comprises at least two purification units and at least one regeneration unit wherein regenerated lean hybrid solvent and condensed water from the regeneration unit is used to reclaim additional purified fluid in the second purification unit.
Method and apparatus for separating gas by pressure swing adsorption
It is an objective of the present invention to provide a gas separation method by which a removal performance to remove a removal object gas component and a recovery rate to recover a recovery object gas component can be satisfied at the same time, and furthermore, a generation efficiency of a product gas can be improved. A raw material gas g0 is fed to one adsorption vessel 11 of an adsorbing device 10 and a permeated gas g1 is sent out. A pressure of the other the adsorption vessels 12 is made lower than a pressure during adsorption and a desorbed gas g2 is sent out. In accordance with an operating cycle of the adsorbing device 10 or according to a condition of the raw material gas g0 or the like, one of the permeated gas g1 and the desorbed gas g2 that has a lower concentration of a priority removal object gas component than the raw material gas g0 is provided as a return gas to the adsorbing device 10, the priority removal object gas component being a gas component to be preferentially removed.
PROCESS AND PLANT FOR SEPARATION OF CONCOMITANTS FROM A RAW SYNTHESIS GAS STREAM AND FOR PRODUCING A SULFUR-FREE BY-PRODUCT
The invention relates to a process and a plant for staged separation of concomitants from a raw synthesis gas stream to produce synthesis gas and a sulfur-free naphtha product as a by-product, To remove naphtha compounds and sulfur-containing concomitants, raw synthesis gas is treated with a scrubbing medium in a prescrubbing stage and withdrawn from the prescrubbing stage, and the laden scrubbing medium is mixed with water to bring about a phase separation into a scrubbing medium-water mixture and naphtha, wherein sulfur-containing concomitants are in solution in naphtha. To remove the sulfur-containing concomitants the naphtha is heated to obtain sulfur-free naphtha as a by-product of the gas scrubbing.
Process for stripping carbamate from ion exchange resin
In a preferred embodiment, there is provided a process for separating an amine compound or a conjugate acid thereof and a carbamate compound or a conjugate acid thereof from a mixture having the amine compound, the carbamate compound, carbon dioxide and at least one anionic contaminant salt using an anionic exchange column, the process including passing the mixture through the column to obtain a first effluent and passing through the column an extraction fluid to obtain a second effluent, where the extraction fluid most preferably includes carbonic acid.
PROCESS FOR AFTERTREATMENT OF REGENERATION OFFGAS
The invention relates to a process for aftertreatment of gas streams in which unwanted components are present in an amount that varies irregularly in a periodic manner or over time and/or in a varying concentration, by means of an absorption or gas scrubbing process. For this purpose, during the entry of the desorption peak into the gas scrubbing apparatus, the amount of scrubbing medium is increased proceeding from a normal value during a first phase and, after the end of the desorption peak, the amount of scrubbing medium is returned back to the normal value during a second phase, wherein the laden scrubbing media are collected in different intermediate vessels during the two phases, mixed and released as a mixture to a downstream scrubbing medium regeneration apparatus.
