BIOMASS CAKE PRESSURE-FEEDING APPARATUS
A biomass cake pressure-feeding apparatus includes: a screw pump including a first screw with a helical first conveying thread, a second screw with a helical second conveying thread, and a casing accommodating the first screw and the second screw such that the first screw and the second screw are parallel to each other, the screw pump being configured to feed biomass cake to a high pressure reactor, the biomass cake being obtained by adding water to powdery biomass; and a throttle part positioned downstream of the screw pump and configured to form a material seal made of the biomass cake by restricting a flow of the biomass cake.
DEVICE FOR INSERTING A SECTION OF PACKING
The present invention relates to an insertion device for inserting at least one section of packing for a gas/liquid separation column into a cylindrical casing, characterized in that a deployment module comprises a main member centred about a main axis of the insertion device, and a plurality of peripheral members arranged circumferentially and uniformly around the main axis, each of the peripheral members comprising an attachment means configured to grasp hold of a packing section, the deployment module comprising a plurality of branches arranged as pairs of branches connecting the main member to one of the peripheral members, the deployment module being able to modify the dimension of the insertion device by modifying a radial distance between the main member and each of the peripheral members.
Retractable center feed injection device
A retractable center feed injection device can be employed to feed residual oil into a coke drum as part of a delayed coking process. The retractable center feed injection device can include a housing within which the injection nozzle slides between an extended and a retracted position. A feed inlet is positioned on an opposite side of the coke drum from the retractable center feed injection device. When in the extended position, the injection nozzle can couple with the feed inlet and thereby form an extension of the feed inlet into the center of the coke drum. In this way, the residual oil never flows through the housing.
Multichannel liquid delivery system
A system includes rigid reservoirs, each divided by a flexible diaphragm into a hydraulic chamber and a delivery chamber. The hydraulic chamber is connected to a hydraulic liquid conduit via a valve and the delivery chamber is connected to a delivery conduit. A hydraulic actuator is operable to apply pressure to the hydraulic liquid so as to force the hydraulic liquid into a hydraulic chamber whose valve is open, pushing the diaphragm distally to force the delivery liquid from the delivery chamber into the connected delivery conduit. The actuator is also operable to apply suction to the hydraulic liquid in the hydraulic liquid conduit so as to draw hydraulic liquid from the hydraulic chamber, proximally pulling the flexible diaphragm to draw the delivery liquid from the delivery conduit into the delivery chamber.
Piston valve with annular passages
A control valve (10) includes a valve body with a plurality of ports (A, B, C, D, E, F) and a plurality of annular flow passages (53, 55, 57). A piston (34) which includes a plurality of annular flow passages and a longitudinal flow passage is selectively movable within a bore (32) within the valve body through operation of a valve controller (70). The valve controller is selectively operative to control the position of the piston so as to enable liquid flow through a plurality of flow paths. The valve controller further includes a installable and removable valve controller housing (74) which is releasibly engageable with a valve base (72). The valve may include a changeable piston and changeable injector and plug components to adapt the valve to different flow and fluid mixing requirements.
Particle packing apparatus
The present invention provides a particle packing apparatus which can pack uniformly particles of catalyst, etc. without breaking the particles. The particle packing apparatus for packing particles into a vessel, comprises: a base held at a fixed position with respect to the vessel; a distributor which is rotational symmetrical to a central axis extended vertically and distributes the particles; a bearing fixed to the base and holding the distributor rotatably; a particle supplying unit fixed to the base, being rotational symmetrical to the central axis, having a bottom opening being smaller than an inner diameter of the bearing and supplying the particles to the distributor through the bottom opening; and a motor rotating the distributor.
Gas distribution nozzle
The invention relates to a gas distributor nozzle (25) comprising a gas feed (1) directed vertically upwards and a float (13) with which an outlet orifice out of the gas feed (1) may be closed if no gas is flowing, wherein the float (13) has a center of gravity which is below a point of force application of the gas flow. The invention further comprises a reactor with a solid bed and at least one gas distributor nozzle (25).
APPARATUS FOR INTRODUCTION OF DROPLETS INTO A REACTOR
The invention relates to an apparatus for introduction of droplets into a reactor, comprising a holder for at least one dropletizer unit, where the dropletizer unit has a feed for a liquid to be dropletized and a dropletizer plate and the dropletizer plate has holes through which a liquid to be dropletized is introduced into the reactor, where the holder for the at least one dropletizer unit can be pushed into the reactor or pulled out of the reactor through an opening in the shell of the reactor. At least one rail is accommodated within the reactor and is used to guide the holder for the at least one dropletizer unit along it.
Method and reactor for producing one or more products
A feedstock gas, such as natural gas, is introduced into a mixing chamber. A combustible gas is introduced into a combustion chamber, for example simultaneously to the introduction of the feedstock gas. Thereafter, the combustible gas is ignited so as to cause the combustible gas to flow into the mixing chamber via one or more fluid flow paths between the combustion chamber and the mixing chamber, and to mix with the feedstock gas. The mixing of the combustible gas with the feedstock gas causes one or more products to be produced.
