THERMOLYSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING RECOVERED CARBON BLACK AND FUEL FROM DISUSED TIRES
The invention relates to a thermolysis system and method for obtaining recovered carbon black and fuel from disused tires, which includes a thermolysis reactor and a flash vessel acting jointly to refine fuel without the need for post-treatment to clean same. During thermolysis, condensers are cleaned without needing to cut the flow or deviate the gas stream, since the deposits formed inside tubes of a heat exchange system are cleaned using a part of the fuel obtained. The carbon black obtained is comparable to existing semi-reinforcing carbon blacks. The obtained fuel has a high content of aromatic compounds, and its carbon content is reduced to 3% by weight, up to 0.8% by weight, with respect to fuels obtained in pyrolytic processes, without requiring post-treatment such as distillation processes or catalytic treatment.
Fluid flow device and flow error detection method
Provided is a fluid flow device having high freedom of choosing means for detecting flow errors. The fluid flow device includes a channel forming body. The channel forming body forms a plurality of fluid channels, a plurality of detection spaces corresponding to the fluid channels, respectively, and a plurality of communication channels providing respective communications between the fluid channels and the detection spaces corresponding thereto, respectively. Each of the detection spaces contains a detection fluid and a detection gas aligned in a longitudinal direction thereof, and an interface is formed therebetween. The detection gas is contained in the detection space so as to allow the position of the interface to be changed with the pressure change of a processing object fluid that flows through the fluid channels.
HIGH-PRESSURE POLYMERIZATION PROCESS OF ETHYLENICALLY UNSATURATED MONOMERS IN A POLYMERIZATION REACTOR
A process for polymerizing ethylene in a high-pressure polymerization system having a continuously operated polymerization reactor and a reactor blow down system having an emergency valve, a reactor blow down vessel containing an aqueous medium and a reactor blow down dump vessel, wherein the process includes the steps of monitoring the polymerization system for a disturbance, opening the emergency valve when a disturbance occurs to allow the content of the polymerization system to expand into the reactor blow down vessel, contacting the content of the polymerization system in the reactor blow down vessel with the aqueous medium to obtain an aqueous polymer slurry, separating the polymer slurry and gaseous components, and transferring the polymer slurry to the reactor blow down dump vessel.
Process and a plant for the production of methanol
A process for the production of methanol from synthesis gas via an equilibrium reaction is conducted in a methanol pre-converter within a certain operational window, said operational window being defined by the area below an approximately linear curve of the partial pressure of carbon monoxide vs. the boiling water temperature for water temperatures between 210 and 270° C. Methanol of different product grades may be obtained by operating in specific areas of the operational window.
Reverse acid and hydrocarbon cascading in alkylation
A cascade reactor scheme with acid and hydrocarbon flowing in reverse directions. The systems and processes for alkylation of olefins herein may include providing a first olefin to a first alkylation zone, and a second olefin to a second alkylation zone. Isoparaffin may be provided to the first alkylation zone. The isoparaffin and first olefin may be contacted with a partially spent sulfuric acid in the first alkylation zone to form a spent acid phase and a first hydrocarbon phase including alkylate and unreacted isoparaffin. The first hydrocarbon phase and second olefin may be contacted with a sulfuric acid feed in the second alkylation zone to form a second hydrocarbon phase, also including alkylate and unreacted isoparaffin, and the partially spent sulfuric acid that is fed to the first alkylation zone. Further, the second hydrocarbon phase may be separated, recovering an isoparaffin fraction and an alkylate product fraction.
Creep and cascade failure mitigation in heat pipe reactors
Technique(s) to mitigate creep and/or cascade failure in high temperature heat pipe reactor cores may include gas loading each heat pipe such that when one or more heat pipes in the heat pipe array fail, the adjacent heat pipes can accommodate added heat load with little change in temperature.
INTEGRATED PRODUCTION OF UREA FOR DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID AND UREA AMMONIUM NITRATE
Disclosed is a method for the integrated production of two different urea products. One is an aqueous urea solution suitable for use in NOx abatement (generally indicated as Diesel Exhaust Fluid DEF). The other is a solution used as a fertilizer, viz. Urea Ammonium Nitrate (UAN). The production of DEF and UAN are integrated as follows: ammonia recovered from the production of urea is used as a feed to the production of ammonium nitrate. At least part of an aqueous urea stream from urea production, is mixed with ammonium nitrate so as to obtain UAN.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING TRANSITION METAL LITHIUM OXIDE
The present disclosure provides a method for preparing a transition metal lithium oxide, comprising steps of: A) mixing a lithium salt and a transition metal compound, and performing a pretreatment to obtain a precursor; wherein the pretreatment temperature is 100-300° C.; and the pretreatment time is 1-10 h; B) precalcining the precursor to obtain an intermediate; and C) continuously feeding the intermediate into a feed port of a moving bed reactor, and calcining, to obtain a transition metal lithium oxide. In the present disclosure, a pretreatment process is performed before the precalcination, and the pretreatment temperature and time are further limited, thereby solving the problem of material hardening during the calcination process of battery materials. In conjunction with using a moving bed reactor, the gas phase and the solid phase are sufficiently contacted, and at the same time the thickness of the filler is increased, the productivity is enhanced and the oxygen consumption is largely decreased at the same time. The present disclosure further provides an apparatus for preparing a transition metal lithium oxide.
Process for producing nitrobenzene
The present invention relates to a process for the continuous production of nitrobenzene by the nitration of benzene with nitric acid and sulphuric acid under adiabatic conditions, not the entire production plant being shut down during a production stop, but the production plant being entirely or at least partly operated in recirculation mode. The invention further relates to a plant for producing nitrobenzene and to a method for operating a plant for producing nitrobenzene.
