Toy system
An interactive toy system is shown and described. The toy system can include a container forming a receptacle and having a top opening and a carriage. The carriage is disposed in the receptacle and rotatable about an axis between a first position and a second position. The carriage has a first receiving space and a second receiving space. The first receiving space is accessible through the top opening when the carriage is in the first position and inaccessible when the carriage is in the second position. The second receiving space is accessible through the top opening when the carriage is in the second position and inaccessible when the carriage is in the first position. The toy system can include a fog system configured to generate fog within the container. The fog obfuscating the first receiving space.
Apparatus for workpiece processing having integrated energy guide and media storage and related system and method
A system includes a machine tool having a clamp. The system also includes a processing head configured to be temporarily held by the clamp of the machine tool. The processing head is also configured to deposit one or more media onto a workpiece. The processing head includes a guide configured to direct energy from an energy source onto the workpiece and/or the one or more media. The processing head also includes one or more supplies including one or more reservoirs within the processing head. The one or more reservoirs are configured to receive the one or more media, store the one or more media as the processing head is moved from one location to another location, and provide the one or more media.
THERMAL BARRIER COATING COMPOSITIONS, METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF AND ARTICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a process for coating a component, comprising applying a bond coat on a substrate of a component; applying a thermal barrier material to the bond coat; and applying a coating containing polynuclear aluminum oxide/hydroxide clusters, to the thermal barrier material. Disclosed herein too is a gas turbine engine component, comprising a superalloy substrate; a bond coat on the substrate; a thermal barrier material on the bond coat; and a coating containing polynuclear aluminum oxide/hydroxide clusters on the thermal barrier material.
HAZER
A hazer, method of controlling a hazer, and a system including one or more hazers are provided. The hazer includes a peristaltic pump, a heater, and a controller coupled to the peristaltic pump and the heater. During hazer operation, the controller actuates the peristaltic pump to pump fluid into the heater, and causes the heater to vaporize the fluid to form a haze. The controller may similarly actuate the pump and heater in each hazer of the system to form haze. In this way, more consistent pump operation and less pump failure rates may be observed in contrast to piston pumps. Additionally, the hazer may include various other features including at least one of an air pump with variable flow rate, a fan with tachometer for detecting fan errors, RDM error reporting, low voltages, a fan sponge, a pressure sensor, OTD for determining heater errors, and HVAC attachments.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL POWDERS
A method of manufacturing powder from a first and a second materials for use in additive manufacturing, the manufacturing process including melting the first and second materials by an electric arc; spraying the melted materials so as to form droplets; cooling the droplets by a carrier gas so as to form solid particles; separating the solid particles from the carrier gas and collecting the solid particles so as to form the powder; and enriching the droplets and/or the particles by means of an active substance.
Machine tool
A machine tool arranged to deliver an energy source through a processing head onto a work-piece, wherein; the machine-tool has a clamping mechanism arranged to temporarily receive the processing-head, or another machining or processing-head, to process a work-piece; the processing-head comprising one or more guiding mechanisms arranged to direct the energy source onto a work-piece and a processing-head docking-manifold arranged to have connected thereto one or more media to be, in use, supplied to the processing-head to facilitate processing of the work-piece; wherein the processing-head docking-manifold allows the one or more media to be supplied to the processing-head when the processing-head is connected to the clamping mechanism; and wherein the machine-tool also comprises at least one mechanism arranged to move a supply docking-manifold into and/or out of connection with the processing-head docking-manifold such that when the two manifolds are connected the or each media is supplied to the processing head.
REMOVABLE ASSEMBLY FOR A DIFFUSING APPARATUS
The invention relates to a diffusing apparatus for diffusing a substance in the vapor state into the surrounding air, and in particular to a removable assembly of said apparatus which includes a storage container (10, 110, 210) including an orifice (12) and containing a liquid substance selected from semiochemical molecules, pheromones, allomones, kairomones, synomones and fragrances of natural or synthetic origin, and an inner cellular retaining member housed at least in a mouth area of the storage container which is adjacent to the opening and set back from the opening. The removable assembly of the apparatus may include a dispensing member (30) including a porous body having an evaporation surface located outside the storage container. The substance may have a viscosity which varies according to temperature, the viscosity and the surface tension of the liquid substance being such that when the acceleration due to gravity is exerted from the opening toward the porous body, the substance does not flow through the porous body at an ambient temperature below a first temperature.
