BODY MASSAGE DEVICE
A body massage device which includes a handpiece with movable heads (2) for applying force on the body of a patient and a massage arm connected to the movable heads (2). A motor (4) mechanically coupled to the movable heads (2) for conveying motion thereto. Measurement device having a temperature sensor (8), a vertical force sensor (15), and a torque sensor (14) for measuring the resistance to rotation of the movable heads (2). An electromagnetic radiation generator (12) for generating it at a determined frequency and intensity. A power supply (11) that provides power to the electromagnetic radiation generator (12) and to the handpiece. The movable heads (2) apply electromagnetic radiation on the patient. A processing unit (13) receives measurement information and estimates the effective depth of the treatment, determining in real time if the applied force is appropriate.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR COMFORTING AN INFANT
Described herein are devices and methods used for providing comfort to an infant, and in particular, to devices and methods for introducing a therapy protocol to an infant in, for example, a neonatal intensive care unit.
PNEUMATIC COMPRESSION DEVICE WITH VIBRATION AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A pneumatic compression assembly that includes a sleeve having an outer layer and an inner layer that defines a sleeve interior configured to receive a body part of a user, and at least a first vibration assembly configured to provide vibration to the body part of the user. A plurality of inflatable compartments are arranged longitudinally along the sleeve between the inner layer and the outer layer. The first vibration assembly includes a plurality of vibration motors positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer of the sleeve.
Hand grip element with a hand grip body for activating an upright posture of the human body
A grip element having an elongate grip body with a first end region and a second end region. The grip body has a first surface near the second end region, with a curved subregion for supporting a subregion of the ball of the human hand, and an outwardly curved second surface supporting a subregion of the palm, and an inwardly curved third surface adjacent to the first surface and supporting the extended thumb, and an outwardly curved fourth surface lying substantially opposite the third surface and supporting the middle finger, adjacent to which fourth surface an outwardly curved fifth surface is provided for supporting the ring finger. The grip body has a sixth surface to support the index finger. The sixth surface, starting from a subregion of the second surface spaced apart from the second end region of the grip body, extends in the direction to the first end region and runs longitudinally along the grip body.
MASSAGE DEVICE CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF THE ARM MASSAGE UNIT THROUGH ELECTRODES
Provided herein is a massage apparatus including: an arm massage unit for massaging a user's arm; and a control unit for controlling the arm massage unit. The arm massage unit comprises a space and an electrode arranged in the space, and the control unit determines whether an electrical value of the electrode is changed, and controls the operation of the arm massage unit based on a determination result and an operation state of the arm massage unit.
METHOD OF GAIT EVALUATION AND TRAINING WITH DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SYSTEM
There is described an integrated unweighted gait training system having an unweighting system comprising a computer controller; a gait measurement system in communication with the controller; and a display in communication with the computer controller adapted and configured to provide real-time feedback to a user of the integrated unweighting gait training system. The unweighting system may be a differential air pressure (DAP) unweighting system or a non-DAP unweighting system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATMENT OF CARDIOPULMONARY ARREST
A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device for performing automatic defibrillation and chest compressions on a patient and method for using same. The CPR device having a balloon configured to inflate/deflate, a belt configured to securely strap around a chest of a patient, a pair of electrode pads configured to deliver shock energy from a shock source, and, optionally, a pulse oximeter sensor. The CPR device is in electrical communication with a CPR defibrillator/ECG computer system that is configured to control the CPR device.
HEPATOCARCINOMA METASTASIS THERAPY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING HEPATOCARCINOMA METASTASIS THERAPY APPARATUS
A liver cancer metastasis therapeutic device, consisting of a base plate, a prone support, an abdominal medicine massager, a chain wheel, a rotating wheel and a handheld massager, and being used in a treatment for restoring functions of a whole body; and the therapeutic device is focused on restoring the functions of the whole human body and complementarily performs chemoradiotherapy and surgery for killing cancer cells to treat causes of death, thus significantly reducing a death rate of patients due to metastasis of liver cancers and digestive organ cancers.
INTELLIGENT COMPRESSION WRAP
An intelligent compression device for controllable compression. The compression device includes a compressible body and a microprocessor. The compressible body encircles a limb of a user and includes an elastomer layer and an activation layer. The elastomer layer includes voxelated liquid crystal elastomers that contract in response to a stimulus. The activation element, which is positioned proximate to the elastomer layer, supplies the stimulus. The microprocessor actuates at least a portion of the activation element layer.
Apparatus and method for treating a patient using vibration stimuli, tactile stimuli and/or thermal stimuli
A device and method are provided for treating a patient with vibration and/or tactile and/or thermal stimuli. The device includes first and second stimulating units for generating first and second stimuli respectively. The stimuli are vibration and/or tactile and/or thermal stimuli, and each of the stimuli is repeated on average at a frequency of 1 to 60 Hz. The stimuli are generated partly at different times.
