An aircraft cleaning robot comprises a robot arm (14); a brush (34) rotatably attached to the robot arm (14) to be rotated about a brush rotation axis (R); and a controller (56) configured to control the position of the cleaning head (32), wherein the aircraft cleaning robot (10) is configured to automatically orient the brush (34) such that a cleaning face (37) of the cleaning head (32) is aligned with the surface being brushed; and the controller (56) is configured to, based on input from the robot arm (14) and/or cleaning head (32), determine a cleaning direction in which the cleaning face (37) is presently facing; and, based on the determined cleaning direction, operate the robot arm (14) along the cleaning direction to apply a brush engagement pressure in said cleaning direction.

Self Powered and Timer Based Solar Panel Cleaning System

The present invention relates to self powered and timer based solar panel cleaning system that is operated by self generating electrical power from solar energy and reduces wear and tear problem of moving parts. In this system, the microcontroller (54) is interfaced with motor driver (51) and brush driver (52). Said motor driver (51) and brush driver (52) control the speed of wheel motor (32) and brush driver (33). When ultrasonic sensor (5) sends signal to microcontroller (54), said microcontroller (54) generates and transmits signal to wheel motor driver (51) and brush driver (52). Thus, when structure reaches nearby the end edge of the solar panel array, said drivers gradually reduce r.p.m. of wheel motor (32) and brush motor (33) and then motors stop when machine reaches to opposite platform. Thus, during alteration of mode, r.p.m. of motors will be at substantially low that prevents the moving parts from damage.

Brush assembly for a soldering tool cleaning device

A brush assembly for a device with a motor for cleaning soldering tools may include a base portion, a brush drive ring, and a locking assembly. The base portion may include a cylindrical core member and a cleaning brush. The cleaning brush may be disposed around a perimeter of the core member and may extend radially away from the core member. The locking assembly may include a first locking member, a second locking member, and an annular retention member. The first and second locking members may be configured to interface with one another. The annular retention member may define a resting state for the locking assembly, in which the first and second locking members may grip a shaft of the motor. The annular retention member may also define a transient state for the locking assembly, in which the first and second locking members may move out of the resting state.

System for and method of by-product removal from a metal substrate

A system for and method of removing residues, deposits, and debris from a substrate that has been marked by a chemical etching process is disclosed. The system includes one or more upper sprayers that deposit a cleaning solution to a top surface of the product as it passes beneath the one or more upper sprayers. The system further includes at least one upper brush that operates to scrub the top surface of the product after the cleaning solution has been applied thereto. The system optionally includes one or more lower sprayers and lower brushes to clean a bottom surface of the product as it is conveyed through the system. The system further includes an air knife system that assists with drying the product prior to exiting the system. The system further includes a controller that is operable to adjust various system parameters.

Reusable straw wash tool assembly

Embodiments of apparatus for reusable drinking straw cleaning include a flexible central brush and a plurality of external brushes supported by a hand-held handle. The flexible central brush is passed one end of a drinking straw and the drinking straw is drawn down into concentrically disposed external brushes. The drinking straw is withdrawn, reversed and the process is repeated. A handle central bore provides external brush pressure onto the straw when it has been drawn into contact with the external brushes. After both ends of the reusable drinking straw are cleaned, the reusable drinking straw is withdrawn from the assembly and placed in a sterilizing solution or dishwasher, and dried. The flexible central brush is replaced without disassembly of the apparatus. Embodiments provide a support stand to receive and hold the assembly in a vertical position from the bottom of a wash sink.
