APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING AN OPTICAL DEVICE FROM CONTAMINATION
An apparatus for protecting an optical device from contamination is disclosed. The apparatus includes a window disposed between the optical device and a contaminating environment, the window being rotatable about a rotational axis and including an outwardly facing surface that is curved in at least one direction about the rotational axis. The apparatus also includes a bezel enclosing a portion of the outwardly facing surface and defining a clear aperture for transmission of electromagnetic radiation to or from the optical device. The bezel includes a seal extending around a periphery of the clear aperture and is configured to cause the seal to conform to the outwardly facing surface when the window and bezel are urged into contact with each other. The apparatus also includes an actuator operable to cause relative rotation between the window and the bezel to cause the outwardly facing surface to move with respect to the bezel. The apparatus further includes a seal configured to dispense a film onto a portion of the outwardly facing surface that enters the clear aperture during the relative rotation, the film being operable to reduce bonding of optical contaminants to the outwardly facing surface within the clear aperture while transmitting the electromagnetic radiation to or from the optical device through the clear aperture. The seal is configured to dislodge contaminants entrained in the film or adhered to a portion of the outwardly facing surface moving out of the clear aperture during the relative rotation.

Method for the production of superabsorbents
A process for producing superabsorbent particles by polymerizing a monomer solution or suspension, comprising drying of the resultant aqueous polymer gel in an air circulation belt drier, grinding, classifying, and optionally thermal surface postcrosslinking, wherein the aqueous polymer gel is introduced into the air circulation belt drier by means of an oscillating conveyor belt, the underside of the revolving conveyor belt is freed of adhering polymer gel by means of at least one stripper device, and the underside of the revolving conveyor belt is sprayed with water.
Docking station and cleaning robot system
A docking station includes a base and a cleaning member assembly. The cleaning member assembly includes at least one cleaning member, a first bracket, a second bracket, and a power source. Each of the at least one cleaning member is mounted on the first bracket and the second bracket. One of the first bracket and the second bracket is a fixed bracket, and the other is a movable bracket. The movable bracket is driven to reciprocate along a straight line, in order to drive each the cleaning member to swing relative to the first bracket around a central axis.
Decontamination Process
A decontamination process may use significantly less water when utilizing a targeted decontamination approach. Analysis of a given decontamination situation may direct responders to set up a given Contamination Reduction Zone and follow protocols for targeted mitigation of contamination found on individual responders working the scene. By targeting and controlling the contamination, significantly fewer resources are used in response to a situation.
Water Extraction and Drying Device for Automobile Components
A water extraction device includes a flexible plastic rod, an absorbent blade, and an elongated handle. The device removes water/liquid from automobile compartments such as mirrors after an automobile wash. The device further prevents streaking on the body of automobiles after an automobile starts moving post wash.
CONTROL FOR PASSIVE WIPER SYSTEM
A system includes a dome, a wiper assembly, a position sensor and a control device. The wiper assembly includes a wiper blade configured to rotate around the dome. The position sensor may be configured to send a signal to a control device when a wiper blade passes the position sensor. The control device may include one or more processors configured to receive the signal from the position sensor and determine a location of the wiper blade relative to the dome based on the received signal.
Flexible and adjustable roller scrapers
A flexible scraper for a grader or other solid object processing system. The flexible scraper is adjustably mounted to a frame and contacts a rotating roller to clean the rotating roller or prevent components from wrapping around the roller, as well as maintain products within designated lanes. Connectors allow insertion and release of the scraper into and from the frame. The flexible scraper is inserted into slots in the frame and held against the rotating roller by gravity.
