METHOD OF OPERATING A HYDRODYNAMIC COMPRESSION TOOL AND HYDRODYNAMIC COMPRESSION TOOL
A hydrodynamic compression tool (1) comprises a motor (6) which actuates a hydrodynamic group (11) suitable to increase the pressure of a hydraulic fluid acting on an actuation piston (12) connected to jaws (13, 14), an electronic control system (9) connected to the electric motor (6) and to a user operating member (7) for the actuation of the electric motor (6) wherein the control system (9) monitors the reaching of a closed position of the jaws (13, 14) and switches off the motor (6) automatically upon reaching the closed position.
RADIAL PRESS
A radial press is provided, the radial press having a frame structure, a pressing tool, a drive unit, and a press control. The pressing tool comprises a plurality of pressing elements which are disposed uniformly concentrically around a press axis and have pressing surfaces. During the appropriate activation of the drive unit, the pressing elements can be moved synchronously as required towards or away from the press axis. To this end, at least two measured value recorders, which are connected for signal transmission purposes to a comparator associated with the press control, are disposed on the pressing tool at positions spaced apart from one another in the direction of the press axis (A). When the comparative value, generated by the comparator, of the measured values provided by the measured value recorders exceeds a tolerance range stored in the press control, an activation of the signal output unit is triggered.
Pressing tool and method for manufacturing a pressing tool
A method for manufacturing a pressing tool includes shaping a blank, which is able to be hardened, at least in part, to a final size of a pressing jaw. Then, a laser beam is applied to at least one selected region of a surface of the pressing jaw so as to form at least one hardened surface layer.
Vehicle suspension module
A suspension module for the suspension systems of vehicles, which is easily removed and replaced in a repair mode. The suspension module comprises a suspension module, a bearing housed in the suspension module wherein the bearing is comprised of a spherical bearing in a housing, the spherical bearing being fixed in the suspension module housing by a crimp in the housing. There is a set of two adapter tubes and a retainer ring mounted on the distal end of the suspension module housing to retain the suspension module in a suspension knuckle of a vehicle suspension system. There is also disclosed a crimping tool for placing a crimp in the housing to retain the spherical bearing therein.
GAS GENERATOR
A gas generator includes at least two functional subassemblies and at least two retention parts. The functional subassemblies each have an axis defining an axial direction and at least one outer dimension in a plane normal to the axial direction. The retention parts are each radially crimped for retaining one of the at least two functional subassemblies on the gas generator. The at least two retention parts are formed on the same part of the gas generator and the at least two functional subassemblies are positioned on the gas generator with a centre distance of axes less than or equal to 1.5 times this outer dimension and that each retention part is radially crimped over at least 90% of its periphery.
Reducing nipple for a fire sprinkler system, and manufacturing process therefor
A method for producing a reducing nipple and a reducing nipple that may be used in place of the conventional pipe nipple/threaded reducer assembly typically used today to connect a branch or run pipe extending horizontally parallel to and positioned above a ceiling or in an open ceiling to a sprinkler head, where the nipple has an outlet end portion with an outlet and a wrenching portion, the method of producing a reducing nipple involving engaging a pipe section with a crimping die under the application of a crimping force.
Power tool with threaded spindle drive
A power tool is provided comprising a drive, an output shaft, a threaded spindle drive and a linear actuator, wherein torque generated by the drive is transmissible via the output shaft, and the threaded spindle drive connected to the output shaft, to the linear actuator. the threaded spindle drive has an inner threaded spindle part with an external thread and an outer threaded spindle part with an internal thread, wherein the internal thread interacts with the external thread via at least one bearing roller, and the at least one bearing roller has at least one radially encircling channel by which the bearing roller engages in each case into the external thread and into the internal thread.
METHOD FOR THE MULTI-AXIS SHAPING OF A HOLLOW WORKPIECE AND SUPPORTING CORE FOR USE IN THE METHOD
A method is provided for the multi-axis shaping of a hollow workpiece, such as a polygonal hollow workpiece. The hollow space of the workpiece has introduced into it a supporting core, which has a central body with at least two differently oriented, inter-communicating cylinder bores and also has pistons, which are accommodated in the cylinder bores and can be subjected to the action of pressure fluid through a fluid connection of the central body. Prior to the radial shaping of the workpiece in a radial press, in a process in which at least two radial dimensions are to be decreased, the supporting core is expanded radially, with the pistons being extended out of the cylinder bores by the pistons being subjected to the action of pressure fluid.
Variable force press tool system
Pressing tools and jaws are described which include communication provisions that enable information concerning the jaws to be used with the press tool, to be transmitted to the tool. The press tool includes provisions that limit or otherwise tailor the output of the tool based on information concerning the jaws.
FITTING CRIMPING TOOL WITH CHECK GAUGE MOUNT
A crimping tool is for crimping at least two members together and confirming that the crimp is acceptable. The tool includes a first handle element and a second handle element, a first jaw pivotably coupled to the first handle element and a second jaw pivotably coupled to the second handle element such that the first and second jaws move between open and closed positions responsive to movement of the first and second handle elements, an insert assembly comprising a number of mounting members coupled to at least one of the first and second jaws, and at least one gauge removably coupled to at least one of the number of mounting members.
