A split idle station assembly, a transfer press assembly including a split idle station assembly and a method of operating an idle station for a transfer press assembly. The split idle station includes numerous workpiece mounting brackets that are insertable into corresponding parts of a multi-component movable base assembly such that upon moving from a split configuration into a support configuration, a locking mechanism cooperates with base assembly parts and mounting brackets to form a locking interference fit or engagement for each mounting bracket in order to securely support a workpiece on the brackets. Likewise, the cooperative movement of the first and second base assembly sections away from one another causes a release the interference fit from the notch to effect disengagement of the locking mechanism. The construction of the locking mechanism is such that both the engagement and disengagement may be performed as part of a one-handed operation.

A coiled material transporting device is disposed between a coiled material supply device supplying a coiled material, and a press device pressing the coiled material supplied from the coiled material supply device. The coiled material supply device includes a support, a first driver, and a transporter. The support is extendable and retractable along a direction of a die disposed in the press device. The support is configured to support from below a terminal end of the coiled material supplied from the coiled material supply device. The first driver is configured to cause the support to extend and retract. The transporter is provided to the support and is configured to transport the terminal end of the coiled material toward the die disposed in the press device.

Plate material processing system
A plate material processing system includes a plate material processing machine and a loader. The plate material processing machine holds a front end portion of an unprocessed plate material by a work holder and moves the unprocessed plate material on a table forward, backward, leftward and rightward. The loader includes: a plate material attaching unit; and a pivoting mechanism for pivoting the plate material attaching unit on a predefined arc-shaped trajectory while maintaining the plate material attaching unit in a constant orientation as viewed in a planar manner. When the plate material attaching unit is at a foremost position, the work holder is positioned to the other side of the left and right sides relative to a processing head, away from the unprocessed plate material loading position side, thereby preventing the work holder and the plate material attaching unit from interfering with each other.
Workpiece loading apparatus
The workpiece loading apparatus (100) allows efficient loading of a workpiece and also allows a reduction in load weight at the time of workpiece loading by adjusting intervals between suction sections. The present invention is directed to a workpiece loading apparatus (100) for loading, into a press (10), a workpiece W that is conveyed, including: a sheet loader (20) attached to the press (10), a suction unit (30) supported by the arms (21) of the sheet loader (20) and including a plurality of suction sections (31), and an interval adjustment device (40) that is independent of and separate from the sheet loader (20) and that is able to be coupled to the suction unit (30), wherein: the suction unit (30) is able to be coupled to a coupling section (41) of the interval adjustment device (40) by the sheet loader (20) guiding the suction unit (30) to the interval adjustment device (40), and the interval adjustment device (40) is able to adjust intervals between the suction sections (31) of the suction unit (30) coupled to the coupling section (41).
Workpiece loading apparatus

FORMING SYSTEM
A disclosed forming system is a forming system which expands and forms a metal pipe in a die. The forming system includes a preliminary forming apparatus which preliminarily forms a metal pipe material, a forming apparatus which includes a gas supply unit which supplies gas into the preliminary-formed and heated metal pipe material to expand the metal pipe material and a main body portion to which the die is attached, and a cutting device which cuts at least a portion of the formed metal pipe. The gas supply unit is provided so as not to be disposed on a first straight line which connects the preliminary forming apparatus and the main body portion in a plan view and a second straight line which connects the cutting device and the main body portion in a plan view.
